Dark dim lighting in the small side room (they sat us next to a burnt out bulb ) couldn't read anything on menu..Distracted server, non attentive.I brought a friend for a birthday dinner and drinks and was disappointed in the level of time between appetizers and dinner (55 minutes) after being rushed to order everything all at once.Never gave us the option for more time or option for dessert. Took all the menus away including the drink menu.Expected more from this restaurant. I am sad that it wasn't a pleasant experience. ?

The brunch is very good. Try the Denver Omelet and a Lavender Mimosa. Loved sitting on the sun porch and people watching.

Enjoyed a nice double date dinner in a cozy booth. Nice wine/cocktail selection & both meat & fish dishes. We enjoyed trout, short ribs & scallop dishes. Recommend for an upscale dinner out

Honestly don't know what to say, we just had higher expectations of the service at a place like the Boulderado. It took about 15 minutes for us to be greeted by our server, our drinks took 30 minutes after that, and our food took like an hour? It was busy, but our service was not attentive at all. We were never offered a refill on our drink, we were not asked how everything was, and it just took an unacceptable amount of time for each step of service to occur. The food was tasty, but nothing special. It was overall a bland dining experience.

The food was great, and our server Brooklynn was spectacular! We sat and talked probably two hours after dessert, and she was attentive and extremely kind even after we had signed the check. She made it a wonderful experience!!

Dinner with family from out of town. Chose this restaurant because we liked the menu. We had a table in a quiet corner. Seats on a banquet were a little hard, but acceptable. Service was excellent. We enjoyed sharing salads and selected separate entrees.

Always a consistent experience at Spruce Farm & Fish. The fish and chips were just what I wanted and my wife's sea scallop special was maybe the best she has ever had (her words, not mine). Our waiter Spencer was excellent.

They serve the same cut of tuna as BJ's the chain... for a lot more money. There was only 1 bartender working in the restaurant and at the Corner Bar on a Saturday night. Needless to say it took a long time to get our drinks. Eat somewhere else.

The food was amazing and the server was great. The only drawback of the experience was the speed of drinks and food. Drinks took over 40 minutes. The food was also very slow. Wasn't a busy night, just seemed understaffed. Have been before and everything was amazing. Just the most recent time was a lot slower than we would want for a dinner

The food and drinks were outstanding and the restaurant itself was beautiful. Only item that wasn't perfect was the cake special, which was dry and the flavor was just ok. It took long to come out so they comped it for us, which was a nice gesture. Overall I loved it and will definitely go back. The mushroom and shallot pasta was one of the best pasta entrees I've ever had!

Excellent restaurant. We stay at the Boulderado Hotel a couple of times a year and always eat at the restaurant. Quality has been very consistent over the years. Friendly atmosphere.

This was a dinner to celebrate my birthday. Since it was a Monday, I selected Spruce because a hotel restaurant really needs to be functioning on Monday, unlike many others. And past experience led me to expect good food. My husband and I shared an order of calamari as a first course, It was outstanding, as I found on a previous visit. I think the sauce was different from the last visit, but at least it was not a marinara type sauce. The pieces of calamari were an appropriate size, not too large, and they were perfectly cooked. My main course was duck breast cooked with blackberries, a bit unusual. It was good but excessively sweet. It arrived beautifully food styled with the vegetables arranged in a sort of star. The dessert situation was a letdown, however. Since it was my birthday, I wanted a dessert. There were only about four items available. I ordered one serving of the chocolate item to take home for eating later in the evening. I thought it was going to be a regular chocolate cake, more or less. But actually it was a sort of chocolate dump, very chocolate and overly sweet. Awful really. The dessert menu needs work. In the past the restaurant in the Boulderado had a real pastry chef. And once upon a time, it had a wonderful light version of a flourless chocolate cake or tart. Bring it back!! The server was very pleasant.

We were seated immediately in an area we love. The atmosphere was lovely with low light, jazz music and good decor. The waitress was very attentive and had a very good demeanor. They were understaffed at the bar and in the dining room which is odd for a Saturday night. We had to wait a while for drinks. We were served our salads before our appetizers which we did not like and had to ask for more dressing as the salads were dry. I got the Brie appetizer and would not get it again- too little Brie, too much prosciutto and hard to handle and sticky. My entree was good but the meat was tough. Desert was great. We do love being at the Boulderado so enjoyed our overall experience.

The server was first rate and has been working there a minimum 15 years - I had beed going to the Boulderado since 2006 but it is my first time in Spruce. Get the house old fashioned and scallop butternut squash

We stopped in for dinner before going to a show. Had cocktails, appetizers, dinner and dessert and enjoyed it all.Our waiter was attentive, and had personality to spare, making the evening light and fun. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and they were delicious.I had the scallops which were yummy with squash and risotto, however, they were under seasoned. My husband got the ribs and cauliflower rice which was rich with flavor and tender.Parking in this area can be rough, so slow a little extra time for that. We appreciate that the Boulderado is so close to downtown, it's always nice when weather permits to stroll the pearl Street Mall before or after a meal.
