Staff was super friendly. The Elk is connected to the Post and offers their fair, which is A-OK with me because the Post slaps. All the beers are pretty solid. Loved the Christmas lights strung over the booths.
Went to velvet elk to see Pixie and the Partygrass Boys. The show was a lot of fun and the Velvet Elk is a great place to see bands live. It is an intimate and entertaining space. The sound levels are perfect for inside so you can enjoy the music without walking out deaf after. The bar service has a great selection of beers and cocktails that are well priced especially compared to a lot of other venues. Plus they host a lot of free music as well!

We’ve performed in so many venues over the years, and Velvet Elk is top notch. Their system is excellent and the room sounds amazing - sound Engineer, Aaron, dialed in the room and stage sound perfectly. The food is delicious and most importantly, the people there are super friendly. Boulder is lucky to have this place!
