Great idea poorly executed; I love the idea of the trout offerings but maybe have an updated menu based on what is in season for the range with simple country food theme. Think juniper valley but elevated just an idea. Great location Thank you
We came to this restaurant while staying at the Broadmoor in November. The 1858 is at the base of 7 Falls. It is an easy walk to get to the restaurant. The restaurant is pleasant and welcoming. We had a celiac in our group, and they were very attentive to her needs. We had cocktails, and they were delicious- esp the hot cider. The service was excellent. The food was ok. Checked this out for lunch before climbing up the falls and hiking. Was well worth the special flavors and ambiance even though the prices are a little steep. Our server was knowledgeable and very professional. The food was so flavorful and we would definitely go back. After lunch we took our drinks to finish on the patio to people watch before our hike and that was really nice too.
