“My husband and I had dinner here the night we got married and it was an absolutely amazing experience! All of the staff were lovely along with the food. They gave us menus that said “Congratulations!” and a fresh rose as well. Best steak I’ve ever had! Will 1000% be going back and recommending to everyone I know :)“
“Long wait, like 2.5 hrs long on a Sunday around 9:30. They do have open seating at the bar and community tables though. When we finally got a table we were greeted by two, enthusiastic and playful servers. They took drink orders and were gone… another long wait. I think we just drew the short straw that day. Because when we finally got our food, my daughters scrambled eggs were undercooked (which they messed up twice more), and the salads they served had some really nasty greens in there. Overall it’s a lively spot and I’m sure if you ordered the “stuffed French toast” or pancakes and bacon, you would not be disappointed.“
“Absolutely the best dining experience my husband Justin and I have had since long before Covid. It was an impromptu stop for dinner while we were down in the Springs. From the moment we walked in the door there was amazing service. The entire dining experience was incredible. We can't say enough about the quality of food. We cannot wait to return. Thank you Carlos and Sarah our server. We will see you again soon.“
“Finally made it to Shuga's this trip, we've wanted to stop in on other CSprings visits but it didn't work out. This place is absolutely fantastic, do not sleep on this gem. We had the spicy shrimp soup and chicken/cuban sandwiches. Expertly crafted and delicious both of them. Already looking forward to making another visit!“
“It's so cool to find a place that is completely vegan! I had some nachos that were great but they went extremely heavy on the salt in some areas which kinda ruined the meal a bit but I tried my partners crunch wrap and it was really really good. I also had some carrot cake that was to DIE FOR. Our server was super sweet and friendly. She recommended meals since it was our first time and made us feel super comfortable. We'll definitely be back. Thank you so much.“
“I love Bad Daddys! They have great food and a wonderful wait staff! Nikki was an amazing server and was fun to hang out with during our visit! Highly reccomend the green chili cheese tots and the nac and cheese. For drinks I reccomend the Bad Betty.“
“I cannot wait to come back to Colorado Spring just to come eat here again and have Nick as our server!Food was delicious and even on a busy night everything came out hot and in a timely manner!Service from the hostess to the managers was phenomenal. Mike was on duty tonight and we appreciate him stopping by our table!Lazy Dog Colorado Springs is a MUST!Kid-friendliness: Our server was so patient and spoke to our kids and didn't just ignore them. The food was also kid friends portions.“
“This place never disappoints, it's literally so good and inexpensive. We always get the Aguas frescas, the horchata is so good. They just updated the inside of the restaurant too and its looking good! I always get the birria and its my fave!“
“So frikkin' good! Here from out of town, wanted some tasty food. Found this food court'ish type place, went with Luchals, and I made the best decision. Service was excellent from TJ and he chef'd the hell outta that food, it was so good. We got the triple threat (Catfish, Shrimp, Wings, & a side for $30, it was a lot of food) Highly recommend, and hopefully you get my guy TJ.“
“Went here for the first time. Was recommended by a friend! Food and service was amazing! Atmosphere was typical sports bar, which my husband and I really like. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the angry bird salad. Both were very enjoyable! Will definitely be back!“
“We passed this place all the time never knew what it was but the parking lot is always full. We intentionally stopped to get the name of the restaurant. The following weekend we stopped in. Now this is our breakfast spot on the weekend! Food has always been great!“
“I left town for a few years. I longed for this restaurant while I was away. If I could choose last meal, it would be the Rocky Mountain corned beef hash with their Bloody Mary. Coming back, it was even better than before. Our server Kenny was top notch.“
“A wonderful location and family running this little bistro/catering establishment. This little restaurant is pretty disarming for a reviewer. The moment you enter the establishment you realize it is an intimate family affair. The husband appears to run the front of the house and his wife (Susanna) creates in the kitchen. They are very sweet, endearing and the service was top notch from beginning to end. Their pricing is very surprising for what you receive, making this easily one of the the best bangs for your buck in all of downtown. The atmosphere is light and airy, the music was playing at the perfect volume and it was comfortable inside on a cold winter evening. My only minor critique would be it is the lighting is a little too bright with all the white walls and ceilings. Some amount of dimming would add a helping of warmth that would simply close the deal on their dining space.Their cocktail menu is better curated than many places downtown and as discussed above their pricing is amazing (not to mention their happy hour specials). You are getting crafty cocktails for nearly 30% less than you would at dozens of other places downtown. The two traditional old fashions we ordered were excellent, while the Mezcal based old fashioned, orange blossom martini and daiquiri were each a little overdone. Going a little overboard with the Mezcal made the Mexican themed old fashioned overly smoky, the orange blossom martini had a smidge too much vermouth and the daiquiri was overly sweet due to a touch too much syrup.Onto the meal. For me, the highlight was our appetizer. We ordered the Caprese salad with the charcuterie supplemental for 2 people. The Caprese was incredible, the use of blood orange infused olive oil is a stroke of genius. The charcuterie selection was also excellent with a generous Burrata, multiple meats, cheese, olives and fruit. This came out with bread rolls and naan along with some herbed butter, hummus and more olives. With two things changed this could have been one of the best charcuterie boards I’ve ever had. First the Burrata was served cold. While I prefer a warm Burrata, even room temp is acceptable, but when cold it really impacts the depth of its flavor. The second was related to the bread/crackers served with the board. It appeared we were given, what all patron’s receive as complimentary, which is a basket of dinner rolls and few pieces of naan. While these accompany the hummus (which was clearly homemade and amazing) and herbed butter it didn’t really support the charcuterie offerings all that well. A few Crostini, gourmet crackers or simply grilled sliced bread with a little olive oil would have made a huge difference when consuming the meats, cheeses and accoutrements on the board.Next entrees. My wife had the fettuccine Bolognese and it was excellent all around and the dollop of ricotta was a nice touch. I had the evening special, which was Steak Au Poivre with three gulf shrimp. I ordered the steak medium and it came out as a pretty thin cut of tenderloin, which was a bit of a surprise as opposed to the more traditional 1" medallion. I think the consequence of this was it was cooked closer to medium well, but it was still very tender. The sauce was what unfortunately hurt this dish. The brandy or Cognac used in the sauce was not completely cooked off, so I ended up with an alcohol taste off the back end of each bite. The dill coated gulf shrimp, mashed potatoes and asparagus were prepared perfectly. And finally dessert. They have many tempting options, but the waffle with peanut butter ice cream ended up being amazing and a great one to split.I’m nitpicking a little in this review, but it was a continuous theme from our first of what will be many experiences here and they are inches away from excellence in executing all aspects of their menu. With a little fine tuning, there is no reason they shouldn’t be a fixture downtown for years to come. Support small business!“
“They have a great selection of every article of clothing. I came here to get clothes for work, but they have a lot of things I would wear for every day, too. They tend to be kind of pricey, but that's not the fault of the store. The flex firehose cargo pants with the curvesetter waistband are worth it, though. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Aubrey, who helped me out a lot with my dozens of questions and requests!“
“First time here, would come back in a heartbeat. Nice lil spot with awesome employees. "outta towners" on a busy nfl Sunday, limited seating, didn't hesitate to make room for us and serve us promptly. The House honey sriracha lime sauce is a must try! Bring your friends!“
“Good food, as always. While the waiter did a fair job, he wasn't very talkative. When he did talk, he spoke really low and quietly. He stressed for us to make sure we filled out the information pertaining to his tip on the guest check. This isn't professional, pushing for his tip. Next time it happens, I will leave maybe half of what I normally tip or maybe nothing at all. It depends on how much the server pushes.“
“Today was my second time coming into Kawa for a Mocha cold brew and I had to try the biscuits and gravy, y'all it's so good!!! I forgot to take a picture because it smelled so good and I devoured it. Last time I tried the sausage breakfast burrito and it was so amazing too!!! The portions are plenty for the price and the staff is supreme!! This is my new coffee place!“
“They get pretty busy, but is that a complaint or a praise? They're good at what they do which is being an Irish pub. The booths are my favorite because you get privacy, and the staff is as attentive as they can be with all the people that flood in to this place. I'll always go back, especially for st. Patty's even if this year was rough“
“We love First Watch... The food is amazing and there is always something that aligns with our dietary needs. This review is for Alyssa and the amazing service she provided us. Thank you for taking care of all my dietary needs and crazy requests and being educated on celiacs and gluten free/friendly needs. Thank you First Watch for providing options for a person with gluten intolerances to eat here.“
“We are on a house hunting trip from Phoenix and stopped here to have a drink and lunch. The food here is phenomenal. Had gumbo and it was superb. Perfectly spiced and balanced with ample, sausage, peppers and the right amount of rice. Had sirracha and chipotle wings. The wings were smoked and then fried crispy. They were served with carrot sticks, and the dipping sauces, blue cheese and ranch, were homemade and absolutely delicious. Kerrin was our server and she too was great, attentive and helpful. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend this restaurant.“
“If I could give more stars I would. The atmosphere if fantastic. The bourbon is better. The service is like no other place I’ve ever experienced. The manager Kolby(not sure on spelling) was unbelievable. I’m from AZ but wish I was from here so I could come all the time!!!“
“THE BEST POT PIE & BRUSSELS SPROUTS I'VE EVER HAD!And that's not a small statement. I once ordered a $50 pot pie meal in London at a pub that claimed to invent them... and the one I ate today at 3.14 Pi Bar was better (and way more affordable).I've eaten Brussel Sprouts at probably 30 restaurants around the country and have had some near perfect ones. These were perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. The texture, the level of brown & crispy, combined with thick cut salty bacon, and a sweet, creamy maple glaze... unbelievable. It made me cry it was so good. ? I'm not joking. "Tears-in-my-eyes" delicious!I wish I lived in this state and I'd eat here weekly. Seriously, do your mouth a favor and eat here. Savory. Sweet. Doesn't matter. You won't be disappointed. Next time I'm back in Colorado Springs, this is the FIRST place I'm coming to eat.“
“The food was really good an I saw other reviews an a couple wasn't to good but I have to say it's all about which BBQ sauce u choice I got original but my husband got tange and we bought the same meal an it tasted totally different so I understand the bad review he would've had a bad experience if he didn't try his food with my BBQ sauce so choice wisely ?“
“My wife and I have road tripped over 100,000 miles together. We love to eat at little non-chain restaurants like this. Mountain Shadows is one of THE BEST we have ever eaten at. We ate there twice on our visit to CO Springs! Even with only two people waiting tables AND bussing, the service was amazing. Never felt forgotten about and they were friendly and personable. Will make a point to come here again anytime we come near Colorado Springs!“
“I went there for the first time today. I drive by there a lot. l always thought it was a little deli that just made sandwiches, boy was I wrong. They have a great variety of different things. The food was delicious, and the staff was so friendly. We will definitely be making this our "go to" place in the future.“
“We went on a Saturday and waited about an hour, which is to be expected. However, it is well worth the wait. We ordered the Tuscan Benedict, Breakfast Burrito, and the Steak and Eggs. The Tuscan has a drizzle of Basalmic vinegar that propels this dish to another level. Highly recommend! The service was amazing, and we are definitely looking forward to our next visit. A++++++ 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Now THIS is the change our city needed for fine dining. I’m not sure what everyone else is charging for an experience like this but it is not a rip off, the food is high quality, great service, excellent food selection, entrees appealing to the eyes, you just feel at home. For those that think it isn’t better than the original ownership, you are incorrect. The menu is refined, classy, delicious and…you get treated like family. Love it!“
“Awesome breakfast! Our drink was amazing! It was a pomegranate margarita, which was poured at our table... nice touch!I had the barbacoa chilaquiles... the red sauce tasted amazing!!My friend had the lemon blueberry French toast! What's not to love!?Plenty of parking... amazing service! Definitely going back for more soon!“
“Absolutely incredible dining experience at MacKenzie's. The food was delicious and the service was superb. It has been a long time that I fully enjoyed every part of my meal and was this impressed with a dining experience. The atmosphere was very nice and our server Zane and another staff member Kai were incredible as well. Absolute star additions to the MacKenzie's team. They gave us so many helpful recommendations, checked on us so well throughout the meal, cleared our dirty dishes as soon as we had them done, and were just passionate about thier jobs. We ordered the tuna nachos, the land and sea, the porterhouse, the salmon and got sides of the lobster mac n cheese. For dessert we ordered a creme brulee and received a bread pudding on the house for our special occasion. All were DELICIOUS! I will definitely be coming back to MacKenzie's!“
“Fantastic meal with great food and perfect service. Bartender made an amazing drink for me since I couldn't decide what I wanted. Just told her something with Bourbon and it was perfect. Music was just a little louder than I would like for a nice quiet meal.“
“Amanda was our server, she was so friendly and accommodating! We were seated at a cozy corner table with a huge plant climbing the wall behind us, such a cool, comfortable, intimate atmosphere. Ordered the four-course dinner; every single course was superb. The house-made bread was incredibly good, and the steak was the best steak I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The sauce was so flavorful, but you could still taste the beef. Dessert was A+, such a rich yet light chocolate napoleon. Trust me, you want to eat here, why wait?“
“I had a great time here with an old friend. The band was The Jeffrey Allen Band and I love their music. It's a little hard to get a drink, since they get so packed. Get there early to get a seat! We had a wonderful time! Thanks so much!“
“Great experience! Sit at the bar if you want the best time, fun friendly bartenders making some amazing cocktails are very entertaining. The coffee bean martinis, oh my, waaay toooo good. It's just a happy low key scene that's guaranteed to make your day. First place we'll go next time we're in the Springs.“
“Great place to have lunch or dinner, they have a great selection of wings, beer and other adult drinks. Sports bar feel with so many TV to watch your favorite sport or you could just look out the large windows and enjoy the moutain views near Garden of Gods.“
“Our family had a wonderful time dining at this restaurant! The staff was fantastic, providing attentive service throughout our visit. What truly stood out was the complimentary dessert for kids, which my children absolutely loved! It's rare to find such thoughtful gestures these days. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be returning soon for another delightful experience. Highly recommended for families looking for great food and excellent service!“
“We dined last night and everything was spectacular. From the minute we walked in the door to the moment we walked out was great. Service was very good and so professional. I got the scallops and my husband got the Steak Diane, both were great. It was hard to choose what to eat because everything was so good! We will definitely be back!“
“First time here. Bright cheerful place. I sat at the bar and had coffee and the egg scramble with sausage and mushrooms. I also asked to try the green Chile and they gave me a sample with hash browns and sourdough toast for $10. The food was excellent and the servers were prompt and friendly. I'll be back!“
“I went there for my first time with friends for a retirement lunch. There was a very sweet vibe there as it's in a converted Victorian house. The service was adequate but not warm. They did everything they were suppose to but it was not that friendly. I guess I thought in a home environment it would be a little warm and fuzzy. I want to emphasize though the service was not bad. I had the club sandwich which was very good. It is not your traditional club though. It was a good sandwich cut in half with fresh ingredients. Two people in our party ordered a salad with salmon on it and they liked it very much. The fourth had the chicken quiche which she raved about. I had a cup of the onion soup, and the broth was excellent. I wish there was a bit more cheese but still quite good. We got dessert. We got one carrot cake and one creme Brule to share. They were ok. The carrot cake was substantial and very rich. The Brule was super tiny but pretty tasty. Two of us had sodas to drink. For four of us it was 87.00 for lunch. It was a nice outing. I feel like it was a bit pricy overall for the amounts of food given. Still it was a good place to eat overall.“
“Great food! Seriously really good. Appetizers were fantastic and the mains were perfect. Service was good but the drinks were a little slow. Even ordering a bottle of wine seemed to take a long time and arrived halfway through our mains. Ambiance... it is ok. Some spots are better than others. We were placed by a large garage door that was closed from the patio during the cooler evening. It was also on the direct path the restrooms. Would have preferred something by the fireplace or the other room. Over all a good meal and I will be back. (Hopefully to sit in a better location!)“
“I love all the community engagements this location does! Thank you Renee for keeping the fun for all going! Plus of course the food is so amazing, even when I am there for 5 hours during an event I get hungry over and over because the SMELLS are so incredible! Also thank you for sponsoring the Indoor Family Halloween Festival 2023 with Connecting Communities at The SoccerHaus2:30pm-7:30pm and Connecting Communities looks forward to many many more opportunities with you all!“
“It's nice, especially in the morning right before you start the day. It's also nice as a decent brunch spot or a fantastic breakfast-dinner spot for those times when you need a little eggs and bacon. It's a place I grew up going to, and it's a place I will visit until my final day.Vegetarian options: All items are cooked in sections, so no cross contamination of animal meats or oils, and tons of vegetarian choices. No Salads, tho.Parking: It can be tricky to get in there during peak hours.“
“We had a great dining experience. The food and service were excellent. The menu has a lot to offer food wise as well as a full bar. This restaurant is extremely clean as well as the restrooms. All in all, it is a great place, and we will most definitely be back. Highly recommend.“
“The best prime rib you will find in the springs. It's seasoned so well, comes with a delicious au jui and a truly amazing crust/bark.Honestly, the sides, salad and dinner roll are all just ok. Nothing special. The prime rib is the shinning masterpiece at this restaurant and it's genuinely one of the best things I have ever eaten.Atmosphere + service is nice. Prices are reasonable, what you would expect.“
“I'm giving this Texas Roadhouse location an overall five-star because of one employee- Alex Mercer! I believe he works Sundays through Wednesdays and he is well worth the special request! We got lucky on March 24, 2024, to be sat in his area. He knows the whole secret menu, so he’s the one to ask about all of the possible and delicious combinations! I could go on and on, but let me just end by saying he got more than a 25-percent tip.“
“we went on Easter Sunday, it was very quiet, so the service was impeccable. we are British tra lingerie fir 3 weeks. we have stopped ans eaten in alot of different places and the grilled cheese sandwich here is the absolute bomb. gorgeous food and excellent service. highly recommended.“
“Cathy the bartender and all the patrons were so damn friendly to the 3 of us when we stopped by on the way to Canon City. We stopped again on the way back and this time Cathy had made biscuits and gravy that were SO GOOD. Thanks y’all, we be back!“
“Food wasn't the best. I had the Pork Loin and it was dry and the side of Asparagus was great except their was only like 5 pieces. ? Drinks tasted decent but just like any other place and they were 15.00 dollars a drink. They made them very pretty and I believe that's what I paid for...“
“We went for dinner and this place is really great, Ethan was our waiter and he was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu, I have celiacs and I get severally sick if I come in contact with anything gluten related and he honestly took the time and care to make sure I didn’t have anything that would make me sick. And not to mention the food here is delicious ?. Thank you Ethan for taking the time to understand and in helping me with this terrible disease and to not get sick, your amazing..Dietary restrictions: I have celiacs disease and this menu has gluten free options“
“I have always loved Nova west. Love the video games. Chicken Buffalo wrap, fried with Tots is killer. Ava is awesome behind the bar. My advice to anyone who has not been here - enjoy the ride. It’s perfect just the way it is. Including the music.“
“My husband and I were feeling pho one night and a google search led us in. Best decision we ever made. It is now my favorite restaurant hands down. We recently moved from the springs to Pueblo and every time we are in town we stop for dinner. I get the pho chin and wings combo. Best pho and best wings I’ve ever had. My husband has tried most things on the menu but his favorite is the jambalaya. The quality of ingredients makes all the difference. We also recently tried the new Cajun seafood and it was to die for. Amazing food and amazing staff! Always friendly.“
