“Definitely disappointing. The food at Alma Fonda Fina is flavorful, with standout dishes like the smoky tuna tostada, tacos, and frijoles. The cocktails were well-crafted too. However, the service was disappointing—our server only checked on us once, and no one asked if we wanted another drink. Let me say this again: we had one drink the whole time and this wasn't something we wanted. The seating was also uncomfortable, with my partner getting bumped repeatedly by passersby. While the food was good, the overall experience didn’t live up to Michelin star expectations. With better service and seating, it could shine, but right now, it feels more like a Bib Gourmand spot.

Edit: went again and everything was great. Though they tried to sit us in one of those middle tables. But honestly, I dont know what they hype is about. Definitely a 4 star for something that is difficult to get reservations for.“

“This may be the best food (overall) that I’ve ever had in Colorado so far, and the BEST tacos by a landslide. Whoever is making the food at this place is surpassing any and every other *good* taco spot I’ve ever tried. The steak and chicken tacos were so perfectly cooked, flavorful and juicy - not doused in hot sauce or something spicy to cover up the flavors of real food made well… This is the work of a true chef and/or someone who has many layers of knowledge on how to marinade and season Mexican food to bring out the most vibrant and delicious flavors. Nothing is greasy, the meat isn’t rubbery or overcooked or skimpy portions. Everything is just the right portion (slightly larger than street tacos, so you don’t have to order 4 to feel full and get your money’s worth, 1-2 tacos with chips and queso or guac is plenty to feel happy with). Everything was incredibly fresh as well, including everything in the tacos, salsa, guacamole, tortillas. I would eat these tacos every day if I could.

It’s a bit of a small space, but exceptionally clean. Like… spotless, in the kitchen and in the dining areas and restrooms. Service was great. Not too loud, like most places that are blasting music - which was much more pleasant to the nervous system. Always appreciate low volume, chill environment to feel relaxed. This place is a 10/10 perfection.“

“I love this place. Its so much better than Chipotle & Moe’s. The food tastes authentic/real. Its very reasonable prices. The guacamole is great. They have red & green jalapeño sauce. You can get red peppers & onions, green peppers & onions or both. The bar is very laid back. You can usually catch young people shooting the breeze or watching sports. The place is never packed but never empty. The staff is super friendly humble kind. They have an outdoor seating area at the one that I went to. Plenty of parking. I’m not so hot on trivia or drag queens. But its a very comfortable laid back environment. Safe for people of all ages. I usually get the quesadilla and I’m coming here from now on instead of Chipotle.“

“sylvia the owner knows mexican food better than all of colorado, with a mezcal bar that is not easy to find - this place is great for tourists and native mexicans will agree - adelita's is the best food and best bar menu in all of denver, plus the owner is a really great friend to my community and has donated a lot of food to support my loved ones networks . My friend got an al pastor torta. 2 tacos were satisfying for me. 3 tacos would leave most people very full. The tacos came with diced onions and cilantro on top. It was all delicious. The construction on Colfax makes it a little harder to get to this spot, but it's worth it.“

“We live over an hour away but are always happy to come to Los Carboncitos to hang out with friends who live locally and enjoy some delicious food. There is generally tons of parking available in the lot. Saturday nights can be a bit more difficult with the bars/clubs nearby. Lots of seating inside that can accommodate smaller to larger parties. Service is always excellent and friendly. Love the variety of salsas that come with the chips, and our food is always delicious.“

I think we missed out on the pineapple in our pastor due to it being so late, but it was still delicious. The alambres al pastor was a ridiculous amount of food, but we like ridiculously large portions. It was absolutely delicious, came with a lot of homemade tortillas and we were able to share it. I love this place. The folks working the truck were very helpful and awesome people. We will visit them again for the late night eats“
