“We love the ice cream at the Trading Post. We stop in every time we're at Garden of the God's. We stayed at the Glen Eyrie castle that's only a mile away. We had breakfast before going riding around the park, it was very good. I always pick up a piece of jewelry in the gift shop. Great getaway weekend.“

“Sugas's is a wonder. We went on Saturday for brunch. It has a smalldining area and there was a crowd. The food was delicious especially the shrimp soup. This little place has been around for 20+ years. They must be doing something great.“

“Really excellent diner breakfast. Quick service, although you may wait to be seated if you’re a group larger than four. I’ve tried the pancakes (just the right amount of fluff), the Santa Fe skillet (love the green chile), and your basic eggs/bacon. Easy to pay with cash or card. Wasn’t a huge fan of the cinnamon rolls, I thought they were a tad dry.“

“By far, it is the best vegan restaurant I have ever visited. Dog friendly place if you are willing to eat on the patio. Amanda was very attentive and knew the ins and outs of the diverse menu. The Italian white bean soup was creamy and seasoned perfectly. I ate an ½ order of nachos...Sasquatchos... very delicious. Nice prices... where a full order was $15, and a ½ order was $7.50. First time I have seen true ½ order prices. All beers are in cans. While the Petrus Red was labeled a beer, it was more of a wine cooler in taste and texture. One issue I had concerns the 5% equity fee listed on a yellow card in the menu. While you can opt out by speaking up, it really should be the responsibility of the employer to pay a wage or salary. This addition 'tax' should not be a diners decision and may force many to accept the 'tax' through guilt. This practice also disguises the menu prices as lower than there really are. The $15 nachos is really $15.75.“

“The dining experience in this spot was top notch. Our waiter, who's name we didn't catch, was on top of his game. The food, was simply amazing. We had the Irish nachos for a starter. My fiancé enjoyed the corned beef and cabbage while I got the classic great, Fish and Chips. We enjoyed our meals while we listened to live music being performed on stage not too far from us. The drinks were also amazing as well. It was well worth the price, I feel. And we will be going back there next time we visit this place.“

“Some of the best tacos I have had in Colorado Springs. The birria tacos are crunchy and have awesome flavor, and the consome elevates the experience. I had an al pastor taco and it was ok, had decent flavor. I had a barbacoa taco and it was very dry bit tasted good. All the tacos are stuffed with meat making them a great value. My wife had the menudo and she said it was ok. I tried the horchata, it was too sweet and made with less milk (maybe none). The salsas are provided for your tacos: green, red, and habenero. The habenero was our favorite since it had spice and good flavor. Great hours and friendly staff. Will definitely come back for those birria tacos!“

“My husband has always loved the shrimp fries with flamingo sauce, but I got a catfish/shrimp plate and holy smokes - that shrimp is the most amazing thing I think I've ever had. The catfish was delicious too, but the fried shrimp is out of this world. 200/10 would recommend the menu, but especially the fried shrimp. Did I mention the fried shrimp??“

“A wonderful location and family running this little bistro/catering establishment. This little restaurant is pretty disarming for a reviewer. The moment you enter the establishment you realize it is an intimate family affair. The husband appears to run the front of the house and his wife (Susanna) creates in the kitchen. They are very sweet, endearing and the service was top notch from beginning to end. Their pricing is very surprising for what you receive, making this easily one of the the best bangs for your buck in all of downtown. The atmosphere is light and airy, the music was playing at the perfect volume and it was comfortable inside on a cold winter evening. My only minor critique would be it is the lighting is a little too bright with all the white walls and ceilings. Some amount of dimming would add a helping of warmth that would simply close the deal on their dining space.Their cocktail menu is better curated than many places downtown and as discussed above their pricing is amazing (not to mention their happy hour specials). You are getting crafty cocktails for nearly 30% less than you would at dozens of other places downtown. The two traditional old fashions we ordered were excellent, while the Mezcal based old fashioned, orange blossom martini and daiquiri were each a little overdone. Going a little overboard with the Mezcal made the Mexican themed old fashioned overly smoky, the orange blossom martini had a smidge too much vermouth and the daiquiri was overly sweet due to a touch too much syrup.Onto the meal. For me, the highlight was our appetizer. We ordered the Caprese salad with the charcuterie supplemental for 2 people. The Caprese was incredible, the use of blood orange infused olive oil is a stroke of genius. The charcuterie selection was also excellent with a generous Burrata, multiple meats, cheese, olives and fruit. This came out with bread rolls and naan along with some herbed butter, hummus and more olives. With two things changed this could have been one of the best charcuterie boards I’ve ever had. First the Burrata was served cold. While I prefer a warm Burrata, even room temp is acceptable, but when cold it really impacts the depth of its flavor. The second was related to the bread/crackers served with the board. It appeared we were given, what all patron’s receive as complimentary, which is a basket of dinner rolls and few pieces of naan. While these accompany the hummus (which was clearly homemade and amazing) and herbed butter it didn’t really support the charcuterie offerings all that well. A few Crostini, gourmet crackers or simply grilled sliced bread with a little olive oil would have made a huge difference when consuming the meats, cheeses and accoutrements on the board.Next entrees. My wife had the fettuccine Bolognese and it was excellent all around and the dollop of ricotta was a nice touch. I had the evening special, which was Steak Au Poivre with three gulf shrimp. I ordered the steak medium and it came out as a pretty thin cut of tenderloin, which was a bit of a surprise as opposed to the more traditional 1" medallion. I think the consequence of this was it was cooked closer to medium well, but it was still very tender. The sauce was what unfortunately hurt this dish. The brandy or Cognac used in the sauce was not completely cooked off, so I ended up with an alcohol taste off the back end of each bite. The dill coated gulf shrimp, mashed potatoes and asparagus were prepared perfectly. And finally dessert. They have many tempting options, but the waffle with peanut butter ice cream ended up being amazing and a great one to split.I’m nitpicking a little in this review, but it was a continuous theme from our first of what will be many experiences here and they are inches away from excellence in executing all aspects of their menu. With a little fine tuning, there is no reason they shouldn’t be a fixture downtown for years to come. Support small business!“

“My boyfriend and I are visiting Colorado from New Jersey and we were looking for a home cookin’ type of place for breakfast. Uncle Sam’s did not disappoint. Between the locals and tourists passing through, the atmosphere was cozy and friendly. Jess, our server, was wonderful and sweet. Biscuits and gravy were the best I’ve ever had, pancakes were fluffy and delicious and came with this amazing cinnamon butter on the side, and the corn beef hash is a must try! Uncle Sam’s exceeded our expectations and we will be back!“

“We are on a house hunting trip from Phoenix and stopped here to have a drink and lunch. The food here is phenomenal. Had gumbo and it was superb. Perfectly spiced and balanced with ample, sausage, peppers and the right amount of rice. Had sirracha and chipotle wings. The wings were smoked and then fried crispy. They were served with carrot sticks, and the dipping sauces, blue cheese and ranch, were homemade and absolutely delicious. Kerrin was our server and she too was great, attentive and helpful. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend this restaurant.“
“If I could give more stars I would. The atmosphere if fantastic. The bourbon is better. The service is like no other place I’ve ever experienced. The manager Kolby(not sure on spelling) was unbelievable. I’m from AZ but wish I was from here so I could come all the time!!!“

“Such a delicious visit!! So recommend!!We came in and the lady at the waitstand quoted us 20 mins then the owner walked up and recommended sitting at the bar for immediate seating and we sat at the little table in the bar area. Such a cute place and love everything about the atmosphere! We did wait quite a while but it was well worth the wait everything was so delicious! We ordered the Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends to start and they are perfectly crispy but the inside melts in your mouth soooo yummy! Then The Sloppy Pig with Red Beans and Rice as well as The Front Range Burger with crispy Onion Straws. All so delicious and will definitely order The Sloppy Pig everytime I go!!! The Red Beans and Rice are spicy even know the menu did not state though but sooo good! We will definitely be returning and trying more on the menu as well next time. The staff were all happy and in good spirits the bartender was amazing and very interactive with the guests! Great atmosphere and extremely delicious experience!!Parking: Limited number of spots in front of the restaurant so you might be in for a little walk.“

“I went there for my first time with friends for a retirement lunch. There was a very sweet vibe there as it's in a converted Victorian house. The service was adequate but not warm. They did everything they were suppose to but it was not that friendly. I guess I thought in a home environment it would be a little warm and fuzzy. I want to emphasize though the service was not bad. I had the club sandwich which was very good. It is not your traditional club though. It was a good sandwich cut in half with fresh ingredients. Two people in our party ordered a salad with salmon on it and they liked it very much. The fourth had the chicken quiche which she raved about. I had a cup of the onion soup, and the broth was excellent. I wish there was a bit more cheese but still quite good. We got dessert. We got one carrot cake and one creme Brule to share. They were ok. The carrot cake was substantial and very rich. The Brule was super tiny but pretty tasty. Two of us had sodas to drink. For four of us it was 87.00 for lunch. It was a nice outing. I feel like it was a bit pricy overall for the amounts of food given. Still it was a good place to eat overall.“

“I kept reading online that the food at Waffle House wasn't good. Being from New York, since we don't have it I always wanted to try. Finally had the opportunity. Came around 11pm and sat ourselves, the waitress had politely taken our order and I was surprised how quickly we got our food. I got the all star special (waffle, eggs, toast, bacon, hash browns) I tried the strawberry waffle they had, it was all great. The cherry on top of the service was, the waitress told me she was going to bring out some new eggs for me without me even saying anything. Absolutely great service and the food was really good too. Breakfast 24hrs in a diner setting is a vibe I'd like to have access to whenever. Thanks for the fantastic first experience!“

“Best cocktails I've ever had. Yummy! Some food items were delicious, others were ok. Our server was lovely and recommended amazing drinks. We had to move the table a bit so the chairs were against the wall due to other guests not being considerate of others' needs to be able to sit at a table. So perhaps the tables are too plentiful for the space.“

“"I always enjoy my visits to Waffle House, and my latest trip was no exception. The highlight was definitely the waffle I ordered; I requested it crispy, and it was delivered perfectly to my liking. The food here never disappoints, especially the golden brown, crispy crust of my waffle that night. The person behind the grits did an outstanding job too, ensuring there wasn’t a single lump in sight. However, I did encounter a minor hiccup with the customer service. When I ordered my meal to go, my drinks were initially forgotten, and I had to remind the staff just as I was about to leave. Similarly, I wasn’t provided with any syrup for my waffles. Fortunately, I prefer using my own maple syrup at home, which pairs beautifully with their waffles, so it wasn't a big issue for me. Despite these oversights, the staff member was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which I greatly appreciated. It seemed like it was just an off night for him, and we all have those from time to time, right? Lol.Overall, I’d still highly recommend Waffle House. Their hash brown bowls are a must-try; I usually go for them with eggs over easy, cheese, and bacon. If you’re ever unsure of what to order, you can’t go wrong with one of these options—or maybe even all three! Lol."“

“This is a family-friendly restaurant with a sports bar atmosphere. I went with friends on a Friday night at 7 pm. Big parking lot. The restaurant was packed, and the food was made to order "Fresh." The staff was friendly. We started with appetizers, and the portions were nice size. The onion rings were huge... crispy and full of flavor with a kick. Best ones I have had. I could have eaten it as my entre and been satisfied.I had a turkey and bacon sandwich that was good, but the bottom bread was very soggy from the grease. I had room for a couple of bites of the Mac & Cheese side. It was Cavatappi noodles in a creamy cheesy sauce topped with bread crumbs.Everyone enjoyed their mealsand had to push ourselves away from the table with a "to go" box to take home. ?I will try the Philly Steak with sweet potato fries next time. Yes. I will be back. We had a fun and filling experience.“
