“Great staff, food, and atmosphere. If you’re stuck on a decision the servers really know their menu and are quick to help! Personal favorites include the batata vada pav sliders, chow chow, and Rogan Josh. You can’t go wrong with any of it!“

“Some of the best food I’ve ever had! They also mix up their menu based on the season, so it never gets old. Very reasonable price what you are getting. A bonus is that all meals to go are in paper to-go containers. Everyone is super nice and service is great! I highly recommend for vegans and non-vegans.“
“The Denver area has been an enjoyable restaurant experience for us, and we've yet to encounter terrible service or food quality. Root Down is another one of those great experiences.Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly. My husband and I are on our healthy lifestyle change adventure. I was concerned we may not be super welcomed due to our appearance as I am overweight. I love to report that there was never a need for that concern at this location. I've read many reviews regarding restaurants like this that indicated a cliqueish nature and a rudeness to newcomers. Our experience was the opposite. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, with a lot of smiles. We had several seating options and chose the patio to the left of the entrance. We thoroughly enjoyed the Denver skyline and the warmth of the heaters outside. It was a very nice atmosphere. The menu is fabulous. Root Down caters to those with specific dietary requirements and needs without a hint of rudeness or hint to inconvenience. They were glad to accommodate, even though we needed none.Spring Salad and Veggie Burgers were what we ordered. Both delightful and delicious. We were impressed by the staging of the food.If you're searching for a friendly place, great atmosphere, and fantastic non-processed foods at a restaurant that supports sustainability, this is a place we highly recommend. It's perfect for vegans, gluten-free menu options, and healthy food options. You will leave feeling better and healthier than when you walked in.Thanks, Root Down, for such a wonderful experience and for providing amazing food options. This is what normal should be!Dietary restrictions: Fully accommodates restrictions and even willing to prepare without any cross contamination.“
“I first heard of Wellness Sushi when they sold their products at Nooch Market (RIP), but never had a chance to try it until last night. I loved everything I ordered, Krunchy Krab, Ohnagi Roll, and Love in the Edo. I can't wait to go back again!“
“The restaurant has a cozy and homely vibe. Hospitable and friendly staff. We ordered the zero proof delights (mocktails), from the brunch menu we ordered the chilaquiles and the Spanish toast plate, lastly from the lunch menu we ordered the chili garlic cauliflower. All of these were tasty. But the showstopper was the chilaquiles.“
“So good my cat and I LOVED the Mexican pizza! But for real, I love vegan van. The staff is so friendly! They try to learn all customer’s name. The menu rotates so it’s new food all the time. I so very much look forward to eating more from vegan van. I also highly recommend them (even non-vegans will love them!)“
“Vegan-friendly mainly vegetarian restaurant in Denver, CO! Food**** We got the vegan tofu breakfast wrap and the vegan bahn mi sandwich. Both were delicious but our favorite was the bahn mi. Atmosphere **** Lively atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter and then sit wherever Service **** Get there early as they had a long line but once the food was ordered it came pretty quick Price$$ Over $10 per dish“
“We've been looking for our Ethipoian place ever since Axum closed. Some places we walked in and immediately right back out, because of SMOKE. There was ONE man smoking a Clove cigarette when we walked into Meso, and we smelled that lingering odor for most of our meal. For God's sake, step outside! It's a restaurant, and your lazy convenience may keep us from coming back.“
“Wonderful Thai food in an unassuming but comfy storefront, immediately south of Denver. Extensive menu for both omnivores and vegetarians and vegans alike. Food was modestly priced, fresh, colorful, and spiced at exactly the level I requested. I loved this place. Can't wait to go back.“
“Surprisingly delicious! I think they use less sodium products/ sauces, because I don't feel bloated after eating it. They give generous portions as well. I also recommend the steak crystal wrap (spring roll w/rice paper) I had the Drunken Noodle and subbed with Chicken, amazing!“
“Mora is the best. I can't even believe there are bad reviews. I've had Mora's multiple times, and yes- you have to wait. But, art takes time. Perfection takes time. Not only is it the best pizza I've ever had, Mora is very accommodating with special requests.Thank you for making my boyfriend's birthday special, Mora!!He even threw in a little surprise dessert as a "happy birthday"! ??Had a gluten free big Mac pizza, the BBQ pizza, and chicken Parm pizza and everyone loved everything!!!Thank you again!!! ☺️Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan (no dairy, no eggs, no meat)Dietary restrictions: Gluten free crust available upon request (though not sure about cross contamination), all vegan menu“
“Awesome hole in the wall spot. The guy working was super friendly and helpful. Had a group that tried both the vegan pizza and the meat lovers pizza (talk about both ends of the spectrum) and it was great! Literally some of the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had! Definitely the best vegan pizza in Colorado! We will for sure be going back.“
“Literally, the BEST vegan food I’ve ever had! Not only is the quality of food consistent but the love behind the food is out of this world. It is clear that’s WongWay cares about their product, their customers and the community. Highly recommend you try everything on their menu!“
“An easy 5 stars. As soon as we walked in, we loved the plant exchange, ambience, and spaciousness. Andrew Z made us feel immediately welcome and was so helpful all throughout our time here. He helped us navigate the menu, all of which was delicious. We enjoyed the cauliflower and seitan wings, the mushroom Philly cheesesteak (a must-try), and salad. We grabbed a babka to go, which looked great. Fantastic, attentive service, with a great menu. Loved that everything was vegan, including the bakery. Lots of specials and happy hour options. Highly recommend!“
“I built my own bowl: sushi-grade tuna, Bibiana salad mix, avocado, broccolini, carrots, Waianae seaweed, almonds, pumpkins sees, kimchi and soy sauce. The combination made my day, the service was quick as hell, and when I asked for a vegetable chips, they did not charge me for it. A super-star place.“
“Y’all this place is SO GOOD. A must eat spot for anyone in Denver, vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. Our party had all of the above and everyone loved it.We were visiting from Seattle and had our return flight canceled. After a stressful afternoon of rebooking everything, we came here to refresh ourselves with delicious food and drink, and boy did they deliver.I got a coconut orange cream Italian soda that was exactly the childhood nostalgia kick I needed, and ended up choosing the BBQ mac wrap with a side of the soup on our server’s recommendation.Speaking of, our server Austin was the BEST. He answered all of our many questions and refilled our drinks and split our check five ways even though he was very busy and we appreciated it greatly.I want to come back to Denver just to eat here again! The space is open and full of light, with cool light installations and art.Vegetarian options: All vegetarian! Pizzas have dairy cheese but vegan option availableDietary restrictions: Clearly marked. Most things are vegan, the pizzas have dairy cheese but vegan cheese options are available. Dishes are also marked if they are gluten free or contain nuts.“
“The atmosphere is killer. Spacious. Could use more TVs playing different horror movies. The food menu is artisan for a fair price. The poutine was good. I'm not vegan but thier options are really good. The drinks (insert Ric Flair woo) are sweet and sneak up on you. I'm a gin drinker. The levitated corpse was amazing. Definitely coming back.“
“Absolutely fantastic experience! I am not a vegan/vegetarian but my friend is. I had seen that this place was a part of restaurant week so I sent it to her and she asked if we could go. I am thoroughly impressed and absolutely LOVED the food. So happy to have found a gem in cap hill that I can come back to for quality food and such a cool ambience. Thank you!!“
“Great food and gluten free friendly! I have Celiac so if I ask for the manager, he always makes sure to use ingredients from the back and they have great gluten free buns. All the shakes are gluten free as well. A little pricy, with a good tip and no drink I spent $22 on just a burger...Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan!Dietary restrictions: Can order gluten free friendly in person“
“I wrote a very dramatic review of the original location that this is what I want to eat for my birthday every year, for my last meal, etc. My feelings have not changed with this location, and time and time again, I'm amazed at how perfectly they cook everything (perfectly juicy, saucy, fluffy bun, it's gourmet imo), and what wizards they are that they can recreate what I used to love about things like bacon (definitely get something with the umaro bacon if you want to be blown away). They revamped the menu too and I haven't gotten to try too much of it yet but I'm happy as long as they keep the Godfather (I love the giardiniera on it so much!!!), and hangover. And the new shake flavors are super exciting! We tried a smores one and it tasted just like smores down to the smokiness... My mom is not the most supportive of vegans but she will happily eat here, and she loves the Flatiron because it tastes like okonomiyaki (she is Osakan). We've brought several different friends here and to the original location - none vegan - all loved it and rave about it to other friends, and continue to choose to go here when we're in Denver together (we live in the Springs - all my dreams would come true if we got a location - and we would put on some weight probably lol). I can't express how much I love this place... greatest of all time“
“First time having Ethiopian and it was amazing! I could probably eat 20 of their sambusas and the lamb in my dish was so tender. My husband is a spice fiend and he said his dish was the perfect balance of spiciness and flavor. My kids were unimpressed with the offerings but that's on us to broaden their culinary horizons better. Anyway. Staff was very kind to us, I was out of my element so their hospitality was much appreciated. Food was filling and so tasty and I definitely see us returning in the future. Thanks!!“
“The menu has a lot of options and can accommodate many dietary restrictions. Our server, Melissa was super helpful in answering questions and giving us recommendations.Dietary restrictions: There are many gluten-free options. Our server, Melissa gave great recommendations. The vegan double cheeseburger w a gluten free bun was amazing. I also had the chocolate chip sundae for dessert - what a treat. I have Celiac disease and I appreciate all the precautions they take and how knowledgeable Melissa was with the menu and food preparation. I will for sure come here again.“
“The friendliness of the staff was great, the genuine smiles were great, making us feel welcome. The pretzels were an unexpected treat given to enjoy as a snack while waiting for the food. I loved the fact that the burger didn’t leave us feeling stuffed and heavy, it was perfect!!! You won’t be disappointed at all and the owner is very delightful!! We will be stopping in again!!“
“This used to be my favorite NY style slice of pizza but lately every time the cheese pizza is undercooked severely and lacking sauce. For $4 a slice for cheese pizza, needs improvement. Asked for an extra $1 side of marinara and the cup was not even half full.“
“Fast-casual vegan food for the win! I love coming here when I am in the neighborhood. Good flavors, generous portions, friendly staff. The entirely plant based menu offers plenty of options, from comfort food to light salads and bowls.Dietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten free“
