“Was my first time here today and I loved the atmosphere. Great food, fantastic drinks. I had a cherry mule and a hibiscus margarita as well as some delicious home made horchata. I got to choose a variety of different tacos and a tasty hot quesadilla as an appetizer. The menudo was fantastic. The staff were were friendly and accommodating and held the door for us on the way out. 5/5 stars, I'd love to make this a regular place I visit. ✨️“

“First time visit. The place was empty when we arrived, not unusual for a Wednesday evening. The decor reflects the space's earlier incarnation as a police station, but ties it together with modern touches here and there. The bartender (James?) was friendly and skilled - my Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned was delicious while my wife was pleased to try her first New York Sour. This is definitely a place we will return to again and again.“

Side of Remoulade

“After our third experience eating at this terrific restaurant, my wife and I had to share our thoughts. Both of us were born and raised in New Orleans and my wife is a great Creole cook herself. So, we are truly lucky we are to have Amber, her husband and their crew in our community serving up such delicious Creole and Cajun food with love. The shrimp poboys (both fried & scampi versions) were super, and the remoulade sauce really capped them off properly. Also, Amber's husband offered to sell us a container of their remoulade sauce after I raved about how great it was- I gladly accepted the offer. But on our latest visit we were really fortunate that Amber had both her great etouffee and muffaletta sandwiches. What a combination! I also have to say that on all three visits we had different but equally great servers. In summary, try this place for a unique take on Creole/Cajun cuisine in our community.“

“My husband, 1-year old, and I stopped at 1129 Spirits & Eatery for dinner on a Tuesday evening. I ordered a classic cheeseburger and my husband ordered the chicken and waffles. They did not have a kids menu so we ordered a side of fries for our kiddo. The food was pretty delicious. My husband said it was the best chicken and waffles he’s ever had. That’s a huge statement coming from him. My cheeseburger was super fresh and delicious, and the side of fries were extremely filling. Alcoholic beverages my husband ordered old elk bourbon and I ordered a lavender lemon drop (AMAZING by the way). Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. They also put on a trivia game with 10 questions. They have multiple rounds but we couldn’t stay because we have a young baby. But the winner can win a $15 gift card. Not bad!The tables and floors were interesting, gave off a retro vibe along with the mood lighting when trivia started. The cost is pricey, but so is a lot of restaurants in Pueblo (unfortunately). Our total for everything we ordered came out to $65 + a tip. Like I said pricey. I think the burger alone was like $17 (just wow), it was good though. If you’re looking for a neat experience and good food, I recommend 1129 Spirits & Eatery.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and boosters for toddlers.“
