“Been here multiple times (100s?) … always a good experience except this time the blond bartender girl was pretty nasty. Also wondering if she chose to tip herself because every other time I get the option to leave a tip - but this time she didn’t give me the kiosk ?“
“This place is super fun to eat at! We had excellent service and amazing food, as well as overall the atmosphere was great. It's fun reading the dollar bill messages stapled to the walls and ceilings. We even called a few of the numbers that requested jokes, Chewbacca noises, or to prove that you are a mountain man ?.I got the Mahalo Burger (pineapple, teriyaki sauce, and Swiss cheese) and my brother got the John Wayne (BBQ sauce, cheddar, and an onion ring.We talked and laughed with other guests we'd never met before. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. If you are anywhere near this place, please go eat there and leave a dollar bill with a message ?.The curly fries were amazing as well. We live in Minnesota, but if we're anywhere near this place again (we drove 4 hours out of our way to this place on our road trip and it was worth it)!Parking: It's pretty busy so be prepared to find parking that's a little walk to the restaurant. If you have handicapped guests you may want to drop them off first then find parking.“
“Total gem of a "local" bar. Located downstairs, you have to be looking for it, but worth the look. I love the beer line up, and it's always changing. Only cask ale in town. Great Colorado options for beer, whiskey, and cocktails. The jam cocktails are to die for. I see people complain of the snack options, but hey, it's a bar. The pub cheese is great and if you're drinking they let you bring in food from the surrounding places. Great mix of locals and visitors. Thoughtful bartenders are very knowledgeable of the taps and help to pick the perfect pour. Plenty of TVs and sports. The music volume is low enough to have table conversations. Great place for Aprés Ski. Oh, and Rob Day sucks! (IYKYK)“
“We dined our first night in Steamboat after a very long travel day. We started with Manhattan cocktails which were quite good. The 6 of us settled on sharing pear or beet salads and then Elk au Poivre. All were excellent. A few of us paired dinner with a glass of local red wine, also nice. Our server was very attentive throughout dinner. However, after we'd finished and let him know dessert wasn't an option, he sort of disappeared. We sat there for 20+ minutes waiting for our bill, finally tracking him down at the bar to request it. Not the end of the world, but it did diminish an otherwise excellent dining experience. I plan on going back.“
“The HOT chicken is medium at best, really just a mild. These people need to go to Mico’s in Houston or anywhere in Nashville and have a “hypnotic hot” that isn’t just Wendy’s spicy.Chicken is tender, moist and perfectly cooked, just NOT HOT.Please add a hot item. It is “Colorado hot”, but definitely not Nashville. You are a medium at restaurants that have hot and very hot. Miles away from anything that would be a “challenge”, really go to Tumble 88 or Nico’s and you would be a mild.Pa your habanero sauce is ok, but to be Nashville it needs to be in the coating.“
“As a Steamboat regular I cannot say enough good things about Truffle Pig. The fries? To die for. The ambiance? Impeccable. The service? Second to none. if you're lucky you'll have Cole as your bar tender. He is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best bartender in all of the Rockies. The perfect way to end a long day on the mountain“
“We were recommended this place by a family friend, and are so thankful we had time to eat lunch! The food was incredible, and they have so much more than just meats and cheese. We got to sample the dry aged meats, eat some amazing sandwiches, and regret that we couldn’t come back for dinner where they have even more. The service was even better than the food. They were so kind, and answered all the questions we had about the dry aged meat, and how it all works.Highly, highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Steamboat!“
