“Absolutely phenomenal dining experience here. We were lucky enough to find 3 bar seats open and had Ryan as our bartender. He was fantastic and just all around the man! We let him chose a bunch of things for us and all of them were great. The pork belly was definitely my favorite but the tuna tartare & elk tips were amazing as well. It was so good in fact that we ended up going back a couple days later. Highly reccomend going here if you get a chance, you will not regret it!”

“We started with their signature bloody mary's which were very tasty. We shared with BAT eggs Benedict (the bacon was the best I have ever had) with the green chili grits - delicious! We also had the steak and eggs which were also delicious. Finished up with a chai latte. We are headed back for breakfast before we head back home.”

“My husband and I discovered Besame in the local mountain magazine so I checked their instagram out and I knew instantly I wanted to go!The atmosphere, the service, the cocktails, the art were all amazing!The Brussels are hands down the best I have ever had, if you’re a brussel lover then I highly recommend these! The mass empanadas were absolutely delicious! My gin cocktail was perfect!We shared the individual paella which could’ve easily been enough for three people, provided tapas was had beforehand. It’s extremely strong in a seafood flavor, so if you’re are not a seafood lover than it’s certainly not for you. A bit much for me, but it was still delicious!All in all, it was a delicious experience all together! I’ll certainly be back!There were so many things I still wished to try!”

“I went to Mambo’s during spring break and I had a very good experience. it was my first time here and the dishes were tasty. The bar was quite loud, but it seemed like a fun place to go to. I ordered the roasted garlic and mozzarella bread, fresh pasta, ceci fritti (fried chickpeas), and a Shirley Temple. Despite the cold weather, they had hooks for jackets and coats. I would recommend this place! ?”

“We dined our first night in Steamboat after a very long travel day. We started with Manhattan cocktails which were quite good. The 6 of us settled on sharing pear or beet salads and then Elk au Poivre. All were excellent. A few of us paired dinner with a glass of local red wine, also nice. Our server was very attentive throughout dinner. However, after we'd finished and let him know dessert wasn't an option, he sort of disappeared. We sat there for 20+ minutes waiting for our bill, finally tracking him down at the bar to request it. Not the end of the world, but it did diminish an otherwise excellent dining experience. I plan on going back.”

“We went for the social hour menu which is 4-6. Enjoyed oysters, steak tartare, lamb meatballs and the chips and dip. The chips and dip were extraordinary, try putting some of the steak tartare on them, you won't be disappointed . Wine was good, great scotch menu. What we thought was going to be a short little nosh turned into a great little feast. Jake our server was excellent.”

“Mazzola’s is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the mussels appetizer as well as any of their pizzas and pastas. Their wine menu is also extensive and everything that I have tried has been excellent. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They are knowledgeable and polite and timely! I will go back anytime I am in Steamboat and so should you.”

“We wandered in in search of a salad for my wife. The Winter Salad was excellent as was the brisket quesadilla! Lauren took great care of us as we basked in the sun and listened to the river and the snowmelt. Great way to spend time in the afternoon.”

“Perfect little lodge on the mountain to stop for a break or a meal. There are plenty of menu options. The pot pie and chili are both awesome options to warm you up on a cold day. There’s a big fireplace you can sit in front of, as well as a bar to warm you up from the inside out. I only wish they had better options for snack bars. The Stinger protein bars are the only option and they’re awful, chalky, first generation protein bars.”

“Kids went down, ordered and had a drink while they waited for the food to bring home. They said the ordering was a little confusing and different but the atmosphere and vibe was cool. Staff was not the kindest (I give this one a hall pass because how hard it is to find staff). Now for the food - was absolutely fantastic for slope side grub. Pizza, fries and wraps were excellent, however the wings stole show, outstanding!”

“Busy day in Downtown Steamboat so we stopped here for lunch after being turned away at a few other places due to it being busy. The shack was also busy when we arrived but we got the next table. Service was friendly and excelled and oh my gosh the prices were incredible compared to other places in Steamboat. I got the fish and chips with sweet potato fries, friends got the French dip and a salad with chili. All was delicious. We even came back for breakfast the following day because we loved this little gem.”

“Best sandwich shop in town. I find myself visiting 4 times a week for either breakfast or lunch. If you get the toastie Carnitas I recommend getting the tomato bisque to accompany it as it is amazing to dip in. Absolutely heavenly on the taste buds. All breakfast sandwiches are superb as well.”

Miles away from anything that would be a “challenge”, really go to Tumble 88 or Nico’s and you would be a mild.Pa your habanero sauce is ok, but to be Nashville it needs to be in the coating.”

Monkey bread was great, and croissants, cinamon rolls and other pastries looked great, too!”

“Stopped in for an afternoon pick-me-up at Big Iron Coffee. Baristas were friendly and welcoming. I ordered my usual latte which was delicious, hot and decorated with a foamy heart on top! So great to see the support of local art for sale displayed on the walls. Plenty of seating inside on a cold day like today with some seating out in the courtyard as well for warmer days I’m sure. The small seating areas were cozy although chairs are well worn. As we weren’t hungry, we didn’t order any of the lovely pastries. Although the family sitting next to us had ordered some delicious looking breakfast bagels! I would return for another cup of coffee and a pastry next time I’m in Steamboat!”

“3 went for dinner. BLT wedge salad and warm spinach salads were great. The bison and 8 oz filet were cooked a perfection. Desserts and accompanying port were fantastic. The only complaint is the finishing of parmesan/ horseradish was tasteless/horrific. They made the 8 oz fillet into a cheeseburger. At the prices they charge, that is unconscionable. So go, spend a lot of money, just don't get any finishes on your steak.”

There's a yurt for a large private party. Outdoor fireplace. Beautiful lounge/bar area also.”

“5 Stars on a BUSY Saturday night. Carl's did not miss a beat. We walked in during prime time without a reservation and they graciously created a table in the way back. Our server was very attentive and came to take our drink and appetizer orders fairly quickly. Who ever is running this restaurant, the chef and whoever is responsible for ops and the team should win an award. Everyone worked together, things ran smoothly and the all the food we ordered was excellent. We started with the Crispy Brussel Sprout Leaves - MUST HAVE! We then had a Wedge salad, Adult Grilled Cheese and Hamburgers with a great Char and flavor. See pictures of the bar it is quite extensive especially if you love bourbon and whisky - so many choices. I love an old-fashioned and they had so many very interesting options to choose from. Great for families.”

“They Serve Breakfast now! So delicious. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. Fresh and delicious. Service is fast, friendly, welcoming. Atmosphere is clean, relaxed and traditional.”
