I wanted to love this place after reading the good reviews. Service was friendly and efficient - we were seated right away for a late weekday lunch. It's a small place that is likely popular with locals. Prices are very reasonable. Sandwiches offered a good variety of sides including onion rings or sweet potato fries, for the same price. I only have positive things to say about our experience at The Shack Café. The service was friendly and warm and the food was well portioned, tasty, and served timely! Would highly recommend!

Busy day in Downtown Steamboat so we stopped here for lunch after being turned away at a few other places due to it being busy. The shack was also busy when we arrived but we got the next table.
