Was expecting a high-end mountaintop lunch but Bistro Fourteen is not what it seems like at first glance. If you are expecting nice service in a relaxing atmosphere, this is not it. Pretty much everyone else who was seated around us had the same reaction. I've been skiing in Vail for awhile. If you don't ski, take the Gondola up and have a meal here. The views are amazing. While I understand everything is more expensive due to the logistics of getting it up the mountain, the prices here are even high for the mountain. That aside, great service and very good food plus the views make it a must visit.

Being a restaurant on top of a mountain in a ski resort area, it's really pretty good! We tried their lamb reuben and beef sandwich and they're both delicious!
