They were out of the bread I ordered, so they made me a panini. It was outrageously good. I've never had a bad sandwich or meal from this place.“

“I only ordered takeout, but when I came inside, it had a really nice and welcoming interior. Ordered a large sausage and pepperoni pizza. The sausage was great, thick, but not too much to where it took away from the whole pie. Cheese was tasty and was applied consistently throughout. The sauce was excellent and was just right. Nice dough, thick but stable slices with thin crust. Thin slices but can fold with ease and still not droop. Best pizza in the area, will definitely come back for more. Highly recommend“
“My family has been a longggg time fan of Freddy's. I haven't been here in a long time and my husband had never been. We ordered a large Buffalo chicken pizza. Very, very good! We are picky with pizza. NICE spice kick to it (but not overwhelming). The ratios were perfect (sauce to cheese plus toppings). Lots of flavor! Would definitely order again.“

“I honestly love this place. Granted, I always get the same thing for the most part, but it is consistent and delivery is quick and the food is hot! “Came across this little gem on a random strike for a drink and decent food after work as I am new to Cromwell. The atmosphere was phenomenal for 5:30 p.m. I really love the seating and the stained glass makes a nice touch and keeps it true to being a "tavern" as opposed to just a restaurant. This place is not family friendly and isn't intended to be. For golf fans there is a nice range connected to the property with its own bar newly added to the back of the restaurant to purely serve the patrons on the range. Sweet touch! I don't want to say too many bad things about this place because it really was a wonderful quick visit and the energy in the room was an easy adjustment. I came around dinner time on a Wednesday and at about 6:30 they started to pull down a projector screen for trivia night. I didn't stay long enough for that but might have enjoyed it if I knew the genre and something peaked my interest. So now to the negative... As the food was in fact delicious the timing was to be noted. I ordered all of my food to go had a few drinks while I was waiting... First I received my sandwich and chips 20 minutes later The party I came with received part of their to go order, and the rest of my order took another 25 minutes. I think somehow there was a mishap in the kitchen. I ordered my food with my very first drink and it took over an hour ? I ordered the goat cheese honey pizza with added prosciutto and the Florida man sandwich. The chips with the sandwich weren't to my liking but the pizza and the sandwich itself were delicious! All in all this place gets a 4.5. Allan is a nice touch too ??“
“New favorite pizza delivery option!! Closest thing to New Haven style I've had (that is available for delivery) in the area. Awesome crust, great flavor, right amount of toppings, good prices. So glad they could deliver over to my far west corner of Middletown. We will definitely order again in the future!“
“I want to start the review by saying that I do have a background in culinary being an executive chef for many years and now teaching culinary.My wife and I decided to try this place for dinner and we're not disappointed. In fact, we had a great experience!I want to also say that everything there is made in house, using quality products, including the rolls for the sandwiches. My wife and I split a rigatoni Bolognese to start. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the meat sauce was authentic and delicious. Next we had a meatball calzone with ricotta cheese and mozzarella. The dough was so good as I was cutting pieces with the meatball and cheese making like little sandwiches, I can honestly say it was great! We also ordered a pizza which is made thin crust nice bubbles coming out of the oven, beautifully brown on the bottom crispy crust. The tomato sauce and cheese of a high-quality as well as the other toppings. I would rate this pizza, an 8.8 out of 10. Leaving room for the pizza meccas In New Haven. If you don't want to drive an hour, I recommend you try the pizza here! I had to try a half an order of shrimp scampi, the shrimp were done perfectly not overcooked, linguini was al dente, and the sauce is about as good as I've ever had, capers, sliced fresh garlic, lemon. I also ordered an Italian cold cut grinder to go with plenty of mortadella, capicola, salami, and pepperoni reminiscent of Franklin giant grinder in the south end of Hartford. I planned on reviewing the restaurant so we also have lunch tomorrow! It's a gem in Cromwell that shouldn't be missed!“
