“Hello All. I was on a mission. My wife had a taste for a pound cake, but not just any pound cake. She wanted a pound cake that tasted like her mom used to make. Well, it took some time to scan the internet and read some of the comments at other bakeries and I found myself very disappointed. As I was about to give up, I found Perfect Poundcakes. I read the comments from their customers and I thought I would give them a try. I placed my order online. When I picked up my poundcake I was greeted by a friendly staff that took extreme pride in their product. When I arrived home, my wife instantly recognized the aroma that brought her back to some wonderful memories of her mom. Going forward Perfect Poundcakes will be a part of our family events. “Will definitely use for any get togethers when I need to bring something - I generally get from Big Y (at a very decent price!). But am SOOO interested in some of the other varieties including another customer who suggested Strawberry Creme Pie and now I want one too! Saw a Boston Creme in the photos - I'm in pie heaven. “This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I've been to East Hartford Brewing in December 2023, but decided to pay another visit.

This is a small brewery. It is hard to notice from the road, so pay attention to your map. There are two parking lots available, the closest one is pretty small. No food is sold inside. They have a patio for warmer months and a separate building that only works during warmer months, but I didn't have a chance to visit those. The main brewery space is freezing, it was not insulated well.

The beers here are great. There are multiple styles available: scotch ale, lager, sour, IPA and so on. Generally, one beer per style. The beers are really good. Between the visits, I tried all the beers they have except seasonals. My favorite is Amazing Grace (Barrel aged scotch ale). The beers were available in beer flights of four before, but not during my last visit.

This is an awesome place to visit for any craft beer enthusiast and it is worth a separate trip. I would only suggest going here during the warmer weather.”

“Halal food is available for takeout and delivery also via door dash; Uber eats, Grubhub and Postmates. Inside, the Gas station closes at 10 PM and provides breakfast and all other menus the whole day. Great quality of food and relatively inexpensive compared to others”

“I don't have idea how my wife get into this place, she owns the activities whole day in a Sunday and we started here.

I did not have any expectations about the food, and I never tried before.

When arrived, there's a really small place, but for the language speak, I assume that people from Afrika was there, never hear dialect or pronunciation before, this is always a good sign, I mean seeing local people eating there.

We order fried rice with meat and fish, beans, and the fried plantain platter. The food is out of this world, I really enjoy it. I don't want to offend anybody, but if black pepper is spicy for you, this may not be your place, everything is really seasoned and have some bit on a spice flavor, the beans were really spicy, lol.

Ill definitely return to this place to try different things, after leaving the place I asked and this is food from Gana.

“This was my second visit to The Dutch Pot Restaurant in Miami Gardens Fort Lauderdale, and it won’t be my last! The true gem of this place is the staff. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the genuine, friendly interaction between the staff and customers – no impatience or condescension, just warm and welcoming service. It’s rare to find such a personable atmosphere! The food was, as always, incredible. I had the curried goat, which was perfectly spiced and tender, and the oxtail was rich and flavorful. Both dishes were spot-on! To top it off, we were given a tour of the newly opened, exclusive upstairs dining area (pictures to come!), which looks fantastic. Kudos to the owners for continuously elevating the dining experience here. Overall, this is a fantastic business that deserves to be replicated – amazing food, a welcoming team, and a beautifully designed space. Highly recommend The Dutch Pot to anyone looking for a great meal and even better service!”

“I recently discovered this African restaurant. The grilled chicken is really delicious and that together with their fried yam is my favorite. Their portions are good and the menu is typically Ghanaian. They are easy to locate, have ample parking and pricing is moderate.”
