“This is one of my favorite restaurants in CT. I've become a bit of a regular. Service is good, and food is fantastic. Ramen (non-spicy version) is really comparable to this excellent hole in the wall I went to in Tokyo, although normally ordering it spicy now - it's just that good. Korean dishes are also excellent and I'm a bit of a snob. tbh my favorite thing on the menu is their potato salad.“
“Ordered take out: a Kalbi Bento box and Seafood pajeon pancake, and both were delicious at home! The bento box came with japchae glass noodles and dumplings- a perfect pairing for someone who loves Korean food. The seafood pancake was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and had a perfect soy scallion sauce on the side. Would highly recommend for take out!“
“Very good food, loved side dishes they serve along. Very friendly staff. We had ordered leak pancakes, tofu bibimbap and sone tofu veg soup. Everything was very tasty.Vegetarian options: There are few good veg options, all sides around 6 they served were vegetarian. Good spicy food.“
“Marissa was a great waitress. She was very on top of making sure everyone was happy with their food. She was patient with me about ordering. I personally am not huge into sushi but my boyfriend is very much a fan of this place's sushi. I really liked the Rock and Roll rolls. Ate about half of it, my poor boyfriend. He also got the Tiger Roll. He enjoyed it. He liked dipping all the rolls into the provided sauce. I got the tempura udon which was really good. The tempura onion rings and broccoli made me think of "onion rings lite". Wasn't greasy at all.Now on to my no-no for the place. The seating arraignment is a little weird. And the green tea (as a green tea snob) was not very good. Maybe it's just that green tea, I don't know.“
“If I had a rating I would give this two stars. The food and the food options were pretty great. My boyfriend and I just came back from here to celebrate our anniversary. We are simply just so disappointed with the service. I understand we are still in a pandemic and things are tough for restaurants. I am trying to be as honest as I can. The food was really good, the drinks, and the service was fast. However, we cannot say we enjoyed our time there because the service from staff was so poor. We got rushed the entire time. To order, to cook our food, and to even pay. We even had to throw some of our food away because they had turned off our grill before our chicken was fully cooked. Furthermore, this was also our first time with Korean bbq. We both have a lot of respect for the culture, and wanted to know about what we were getting into. There was nothing on the menu indicating what items came with what sides, and no signs indicating. We have had experiences with hot pot that had given a full explanation of how to cook the food, what food was available. We had to ask 3 different times to get an explanation of what we were eating. It wasn’t just one person but at least 2 or 3 interrupting me when I was trying to talk. I’m just very disappointed because I have wanted to come here for a long time and chose to spend my anniversary here to just be disappointed.“
“Each time I come to this part of West Hartford I can hardly find the pick and mix because their signage is very dim lit.Once inside I always find the menu an interesting array of selections. I ordered the tofu bowl and decided to make it a combo but they had run out of miso soup, so I can get that extra next time. The summer rolls were light and crispy, and the tofu bowl was absolutely delicious as usual.Just Pull up into the Tunxis Plaza, across from Stop and Shop, and look for Farmington Ave Pizza, and right next door you will see the Pick and Mix!“
“I could, and will, eat here everyday. Great Korean comfort food at a fair price. The spicy pork kimbap is my favorite and I always order extra to bring home for lunch the next day. Japchae was very soft and fresh. I can’t wait to go back to try their jajangmyeon.“
