“So, so good! I took a trip up to Brown Butter Creations after reading an article in Connecticut Magazine. It was definitely worth the trip! I'm normally not a whoopie pie fan, but their pumpkin woopie pie cake and filling was the best I've ever tasted. Everything I bought was super yummy, and you really can taste the brown butter difference. They have scone specials on Saturdays, so check their Facebook page. If you can't get there early, you can call your order in and they'll have it ready for you. Super friendly service. Wheelchair and walker accessible from the parking lot. Looking forward to my next visit!Wheelchair accessibility: No threshold or barriers between the parking lot and the sidewalk. Easy entry into the bakery. Did not see handicap spaces right in front of the bakery but there was plenty of parking out front.“
“A quaint and quiet spot within the expansively characteristic building at Glen Lochen in Glastonbury. This is a place where you feel like you can sit and do a days work at your laptop, yet let your hair down at their advertised open mic night, put a record on the record player or read one of the many books they have ready to peak into.“
“Thank you to Carol and Heather for creating the most beautiful and tasty cake for my cousin's dragon themed baby shower. The shower was at a tea house so Heather topped the cake with an adorable dragon in a teacup which was so fitting for the occasion! The cake flavor itself was a recommendation from Carol: coconut cake with raspberry filling and was very good. My cousin is gluten free which is why I got this cake but majority of the people at the shower were not gluten free and couldn't even tell the difference. In fact, they are still talking about how amazing it was!“
“When walking into Bakery, I was quickly greeted by staff with hello's and smiles. Today I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with just the right amount butter that met my expectations. I was really impressed how good the Ice Coffee was too. Great environment to sit down and chill for a while. I'm looking forward to my birthday so I can try another one of the delicious cakes. “Like other reviewers, I have driven by harpo's countless times en route to y favorite coffee roaster,a dn just didn't make the time to stop until Saturday, and I am glad I did. Sure parking is an issue, but not if you're willing to park a few doors down and stroll through South Glastonbury, which at this time of year is as picturesque as it gets. Plus you can grab a cup of the most delicious coffee in town to enjoy with your tasty baked goods, but I'm getting ahead of myself...Walking in I was greeted by one of the friendly staff members, and before I knew it was placing an order for two apple cinnamon donuts, and some fresh pizza dough, before I realized that the last loaf of marble rye on the shelf had my name on it. Two enthusiastic thumbs up on the donuts! These are cakie, tasty donuts, with a fabulous apple cinnamon dusting that sticks to the donut, and unlike so many other donuts this time of year, no agita later. When I got home, I toasted up a slice of the marble rye (a sandwich bread style loaf that Harpo's kindly sliced for me) and with a little butter, oh my, delish. No word yet on how the pizza dough translates into a good pizza pie, but the woman in front of me swore it's the best and since she was a local gal, I took her word for it.There was a nice selection of other pastries and a big selection of cookies too, so that means a return trip in the near future,a dn the next time you're strolling or riding through So Gbury, make harpo's a destination for some tasty baked goods!“
“The last few months I’ve been frequenting HBC - Glastonbury a few times a week. At times it’s for a few pastries and coffee, however lately I’ve had large lunch orders with a short turn around time. Lauren and her team have allowed me to focus on customers and my business and not the often difficult process of ordering lunch quickly at other establishments.The first time I had a large order - it was 11 drinks for the office. HBC had straws, sweeteners, everything ready quickly on trays. They value my time, smile, and get it right. I’m often on the go, however I like the new couches and set-up they have for folks that stay a while.“
“I’m absolutely enamored with this bakery! The momentum season is absolutely amazing! Since I’ve purchased this, it has been my go to seasoning. It’s truly flavorful. I’ve been putting it on meats, stews, veggies and even fruits lol and it has elevated every dish! Also, the Jamaican meals, pastries and sandwiches are always fresh and bursting with vibrant ingredients. A true culinary gem and my absolute go to spot for breakfast and lunch!!“
