“Decent cheeseburger for under $5. Great breakfast for like $8. Home fries cooked EXACTLY the way I like them. Great bacon, big eggs. I paid $21 for a cheeseburger, fries, a full 2 egg breakfast and a can of soda. Really, the only thing I didn’t like was the French fries. Something was just off about them. Will definitely be going back for breakfast at some point. Good food at good prices. Simply a great, classic diner.“
“I've said it before, not a fan of chains, but I was in the neighborhood waiting for a family member to get out of an appointment, so I figured I would give it a shot. The service was fast and pleasant. The food came out surprisingly fast and the waitress was very nice. Shortly after I got my food, the manager came to check if everything was good, which it was. The prices are very good. If I had to make one complaint, it would be that I asked for hot sauce and was brought to containers, one of which did not have a top and was very crusted. But besides that, everything else was perfect. I would return if in the same situation ?“
“What a great meal! Came here because we were on the way to get donuts at Brooklyn Baking Co and missed their breakfast timing - so glad we did! Had the Irish Benny - AMAZING corned beef hash, perfect eggs and sauce!!! Fluffy pancakes too and my boyfriend enjoyed the waffles - "real syrup and fresh, fresh fruit!" Owner is super friendly as is the staff and we had just a great experience ... what a find! Definitely putting this on our come back again soon list!!!“
“OMG! this place is the Bomb! I had the monster Bacon Veggie omelette with the bacon on the side! Friendly staff and a traditional cafe with counter and booth seating where you can watch the Maestro at work! Parking on street and behind the restaurant?“
“This little restaurant is a cozy family - owned and operated business that has been around for over 50 years. Even my first time here they treated me with such kindness and friendliness. The food is delicious and a very fair price. Be warned it is cash only, but they do have an ATM on site. Couldn't recommend this place enough, try it and you won't regret it!“
“Have been here twice recently. Had the corned beef and Swiss omelette this past visit. The service is friendly and nice. The coffee is hot and delicious and the food comes out sooooo fast. Get here early and don’t be scared to wait in line it’s worth it.“
“I’m a longtime customer who comes in for breakfast occasionally. Decided to come in today before work on this “Fat Tuesday” I ordered a Mushroom and Cheese Omelette with a Side of Corned Beef Hash. Service is always great, attentive and friendly. Love the additional hours during the end of the week, open until 9:00pm. Never had a bad experience dining here at one of West Haven’s Best Restaurants !“
“This is the place for you if you appreciate excellent customer service, savory, delicious food that tastes like momma made it, and a good laugh with great people. Cannot say enough about what a wonderful little place this is. Thank you Sara and Karen for cooking it with love every single time.“
“I brought my niece and nephew there the morning. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the cinnamon swirl pancakes and all 3 of us ate of them and didn’t finish them, they were huge! The western omelette my nephew had was very good as well! Definitely fair priced as well. Will definitely be back.“
“Connie's is one of my favorite local breakfast spots! I literally go there almost every Saturday morning... it's not very big place, so sometimes you do have to wait for a table to be seated (but it's breakfast, so the turnover time is pretty quick). If you're going on a Saturday or Sunday morning, I'd recommend going bright and early (around 8AM) or a little later (after 10:30AM) to avoid the crowd. As far as the food, it's just your standard breakfast menu, and they do also have a lunch menu as well with sandwiches, etc. I usually stick with eggs, bacon, and toast, so nothing too crazy. The coffee is hit-or-miss, but usually more of a miss, unfortunately. The food is very good though!Overall the staff is generally nice, though sometimes it seems like they're a little overwhelmed and the service is a little slow. Still, I would recommend Connie's as a solid breakfast spot!“
“A quaint quiet local diner with AMAZING food. The side of hash (corned beef) was so crispy and flavorful! The knife work on the potatoes in the hash was so perfectly even (aka everything cooked evenly) which lended to how amazing every bite was. I loved the Scotty's Benedict which had 3 poached eggs over baked Virginia ham, melty cheese, and English muffins. My partner got a sausage egg and cheese on a hard roll for just 5.95$ and wow did he love it! It had the freshest eggs, juiciest sausage patties, and gooey melty cheese on a tasty roll. You definitely won't leave here hungry.“
“We ordered a few sandwiches here for lunch today and they were amazing. I can’t remember the last time I had a sub that good. The bread was great and they gave you plenty of meat. The service was fast and super friendly. I’ll definitely be getting more food from them soon.“
“My husband and I decided to stop for breakfast one day three weeks ago and we were amazed with everything. I ordered Eggs Benedict, coffee and an orange juice. My husband ordered pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice. We also got a side of bacon. Everything was perfect and delicious! My Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly and the best I’ve ever had. I am a self proclaimed Eggs Benedict connoisseur and I was extremely impressed. The eggs were poached perfectly…which is very important. The hollandaise sauce was so tasty that I just wanted to jump in and swim in it! And the homefries were amazing! My husband, who is a huge pancake fanatic said the pancakes were by far the best he has ever ate. He said they were fluffy and cooked perfectly through and the bacon was very crispy and the sausage not overcooked. The coffee was fresh and strong, which is how we like it. Since that first day, we have gone back two more times. If you happen to like soup, let me tell you…their soups are wonderful! The waitress was excellent and very friendly. She welcomes everyone with a smile and frequently checks in to see how everything is. The gentleman who cooks also comes out to greet the customers and asks how everyone is doing and is very humbled with every compliment he and the waitress receives. They definitely pride themselves on being the best and they truly are the best! We will definitely be making this a weekly trip. We find ourselves thinking about the food at Peter’s II and can’t wait to go back. We 100% recommend Peter’s II to anyone looking for a small locally owned and operated restaurant for breakfast and lunch. You won’t be disappointed.Parking: The restaurant is located in a small plaza so there are many parking spaces in front as well as on the side and back.Kid-friendliness: They make the cutest Mickey Mouse pancakes for kids. They also have a children’s menu.“
“I have never had anything that wasn't enjoyable to eat here. I love the Crostini Hash that is homemade. Their French toast is fabulous. And there is nothing like their sausage and peppers ( no green peppers on red so it's not bitter) I can't say enough about this place, small and local,“
“Great breakfast place. Accommodating and quick service. The food was delicious. Pancakes light and fluffy. Tasty hash browns. Eggs cooked to perfection whether ordered scrambled, over easy, or poached. Don't forget to look at the specials board!! All served hot and fresh. Friendly service.“
“Wow! Was heading elsewhere and saw this little place. Small place but what amazing food! I had the Hungry Man sandwich. All meat cheese and potatoes on bread! It was very filling!! The staff were very friendly the place is very clean. Haven't been? I highly recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“Fantastic experience at the Pantry! Will defintely be back :) have been here multiple times and they make you feel as if you're at home ? . Friendly staff and a great menu. Nothing fancy just some hearty food. Clean bathrooms available and outdoor seating as well! The fruit available is also surprisingly delicious for a diner. If I could give any feedback it would be bigger portion sizes as they are a little bit small. Otherwise wonderful place defintely recommend for a casual meal ?!!Vegetarian options: Breakfast is the way to go lox and veggie options.Dietary restrictions: Labeled menuParking: Parking lot is tiny pay to park or pay for street parkingKid-friendliness: Super casual for kidsWheelchair accessibility: A little bit tight for wheelchair is my only other feedback.“
“Favorite breakfast spot around! I have been several times now and have enjoyed everything I have ordered. The scrambled eggs are amazing and the breakfast sausage is the best I've ever had at a diner. Also, I am not typically a pancake fan, but I really enjoy the pancakes here. Highly recommend if you are in the area - fast service & delicious food!“
“We were in front of the hotel and decided to try it. The food was good. The bagels are homemade and very delicious. Benedicts great too.The format is a bit strange: The drinks and desserts are brought by one person and the food by another, like two companies in the same place. In the end, you end up paying two different bills. Curious.“
“I've been going here for years and the food is always great. I enjoy their chicken tenders and fries meal when I want lunch and there are a ton of great breakfast options. Depending on the day, it can get pretty crowded here though. It's great on weekdays or off hours on weekends, but during peak brunch time, I would not go here with a large group.Parking: The parking lot is free and a very short walk from Brown Stone House, but during peak hours, you may not find a spot. There are other free parking lots nearby though and the nearby restaurants don't all have the same busy times as Brown Stone House, so that helps.“
