“I've been coming to AJ's for over 20 years. literally every time I have friends from out of town visit me and want to have a drink and some good bar food we go to AJ's. every single one of my out-of-town friends always says this is the best bar food they've ever had in their life. I literally have friends who call me up to come to Meriden just to have food from AJ's. my kids are addicted to the food at AJ's as well . I can honestly say if I ever move out of Connecticut, AJ's is one of the very few restaurants that I would ever truly miss and want to stop by if I come back to Connecticut for a visit. Thanks for hanging in and being so committed to our city. with the type of food and friendliness that AJ's gives they could have been successful any place in Connecticut.“
“Couldnt even take pictures because of how fast I ate my food lol. I must say this food is amazing amazing amazing. I went and got fried pork and yellow rice and everything was so flavorful and prepared with angel hands. If I would scale there food on a scale of 1-10 it would break the scale at a billion. “Many KFCs in the CT area are hit or miss. Although, this Meriden location is always kept clean and the staff stays friendly. Hopefully this stays the way it is, we all know customer service and cleanliness are on the decline across the board in the fast food restaurant genre. Good job at this location for the high standards!Kid-friendliness: Treated my 3 year old daughter with loads of love and compliments. Also, great job KFC for adding the kids meal to the menu!“
“Excellent food - our late lunch was excellent! We both had meals and they were nice and fresh, and the restaurant was clean as a whistle! Service at the counter was very good even though they were really busy. If we're back in that area again, we will definitely stop at that Popeyes! The bathroom was nice and clean as well!Kid-friendliness: Very friendly and helpful counter staff -service with a nice smile here! And they thanked each person after they ordered their food. “Great atmosphere and employees. The owners are friendly and the drinks strong. I love the diverse crowd and the free entry. The food is good and they have good music on weekends with Bobby their resident DJ. Pool tables are there and darts.“

“The dirty wings are absolutely amazing! I was raised in western new york and I really happened to enjoy chicken wings when they are good. I don't get them too often now as I am very skeptic. I was visiting in town and read about these dirty wings over there. They are the real deal.I like my wings crunchy.They did that and they had some sticky to them.It was kind of nice.I got the Buffalo style.They were a medium "heat" , as advertised. One thing I am very particular about is blue cheese. Blue cheese can make or break the chicken wings if they are anywhere on the fence, which these wings are not on the fence, they are down right good. The blue cheese is the real deal.It was delicious. I also ordered a Reuben.It was okay.It was kind of dry for me and didn't have enough thousand island dressing for sure. I've been on a Rubin streek for the last few weeks on the road and this one kind of struck out. The wings were incredible though really. The order too a bit longer than I anticipated with the time I was given. It was not a huge deal as the gift shop is pretty neat and the young lady working in there was very kind and helped pass the time through conversation. It was a pretty happening place in the bar and restaurant area a good place to be with a group. Good vibe for sure.“
“Service was on the slow side, however the dining area was busy. My chicken sandwich was delicious and juicy, and I would definitely order it again. However the $1.50 for the up charge on french fries was not worth it. The fries were soggy, limp and unseasoned.It wasn't all bad. Like I said I really enjoyed my beer and my chicken sandwich.Parking: Nice new looking building but parking seems limited.“
“Went here before checking out hubbard for lights they were a little busy. But very accommodating and friendly they even brought a table in from outside and wiped it off for us. Also one of best philly steaks ive ever had cant wait to try there pizza! Also they have fried dough bites that are amazing and u get alot in an order!“
