“I have been an avid fan of Vivas for thr last 30yrs. I started going there in college, and I fell in love w the food, the owners, and the ambience. Kathy and Bruce sold the place, and I hadn't gone to check it out until this passed week... still amazing! The new owner commands the helm and demands perfection; he is ready to please. My wife had a fantastic monitor, fresh and delicious ?. We shared churros and I took some empanadas home; both were spot on. The crowd was fun, the place filled... soccer adorned the screens, and pleasant music filled our ears. Nothing has changed with the decor,, and that's a good thing; if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Vivas is a must do if you are in New Haven, CT and looking for a cool place to eat and socialize. 5 stars ?“

“Absolutely love this place! Hands down the best acai bowls…so fresh and delicious. Doesn’t compare to any other açaí bowl I’ve had at other places. Been meaning to try their savory dishes but whenever I get there I can’t resist ordering an açaí bowl. They’re very considerate and accommodating of my daughter’s food allergies as well!“

“Where do I start... I'm a huge oatmeal fan and this by far is the BEST oatmeal I have had at a restaurant. Everything here is cooked to order and is so fresh. The egg sandwich was so delicious with bacon and caramelized onions on pumpernickel bread. It was amazing... And I'm definitely coming back. If you are in New Haven looking for great food then you must come here!“

“During lunch break from having to serve jury duty I found this coffee shop down the street and decided to pop in. The two behind the counter were very friendly and inviting, and the special grilled cheese with tomato or bacon with soup was PERFECT . the chicken corn chowder came out piping hot and didn't even need any salt or pepper. I'm usually skeptical when someone has to make my coffee instead of me doing it, but unlike dunkin donuts the gentleman made it just right! they seem to have a familiar and friendly customer fan base, and I would definitely go back again.“

“A tiny take out only shop. There is no place to sit, no WC. The salad is very good though, fresh, ample size, great mix of vegetables and lettuce, flat bread, dressings. The drink menu is very good as well. The place is expensive, though. 12$ for a salad is a bit high. 6$ for a drink. But the food is healthy and tastes quite good.Service was fast, but a line forms faster. Expect to wait. Service was terse, not friendly, but that might be the pressure of the line. They is only street parking. The place is close to Yale, so there is lots of traffic. Order ahead if you can.“

We both had the saffron basmati and steak and veggies, Tzatziki sauce, and delicious fig vinaigrette. My kids had burgers and fries and everything was perfect. Very clean, staff was super helpful with recommendations. The kids also loved the chocolate milkshakes and I loved the Hibiscus Lemonade. Definitely worth the trip!“

“Good food, tastes like homemade heaven.. I ordered the wings mac and fries. The chicken was fried hard like I like it the fries was crispy and well seasoned, but damn they must not carry forks, spoons , hot sauce, ketchup, cuz none of that was in the bag.. not one condiment or utensil, I am homeless so i dont have the luxury of having those items laying around, eating it was aggravating but it was my first time there.. imma give another around ..and tell seel books“

“We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. Food was excellent table was great facing the water. But the best part of our dining experience was our server. Her name Is LeeAnn and she was wonderful! So friendly, professional, caring and a beautiful smile. I would say that she was the BEST server that I have ever encountered and I have been to many different restaurants all over the world. We had a long day and a tough one and this wonderful person turned out day into a positive one. Thank you for your fab food and wonderful staff especially LeeAnn. See you again real soon!!“

“Pretty good pizza, slices are HUGE! It's greasy, hot, quick, cheap, and tasty. And I loved every single bite! It was within walking distance of Yale/my hotel, and they are open very, very late. Not a lot of seating (2 tables), so they encourage to go, but the menu is extremely extensive and you will have a hard time making a choice. The prices are very reasonable and you can order everything from pizza, to calzones, to salads, and 4 types of cheesecake. It took maybe 5 mins to hear my pizza up. And they have a self service cooler full of maybe 30 different types of drinks. They have pizza boxes for single slices all the way up to extra large pizzas. Place was very clean and looked like a typical grab and go pizza parlor. Will return!“
