“Dangle's is a black-owned business in well established downtown. The restaurant is nice and quaint giving you the feels of being connected to the owner and staff. The food was delicious - delivered hot and fresh. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It behooves anyone reading this to try this place out. You won't be disappointed.“
“Easily accessible and in walking distance of the New Haven green. Got brussels sprouts and a large pizza. The brussels sprouts were cut and fried in a unique way I had never seen before but it was quite delicious. The pizza was also quite good although a little too much garlic for my tastes (and i love garlic)“
“Literally just left after having the best lunch! My fiancé and I are new to CT and we’ve been desperately trying to find a cool spot with great food. We got the miso and lime mussels and poutine with our beers and it was SO GOOD! Simple but delicious. The portions were huge. The service was great and the beer was even better! “Nestled away from North Main Street is this hidden gem of Italian food. Their marinara sauce is delicious and their portions are just right. It can be a little noisy but it's a good dinner spot for the area ( even if it may take a minute to find parking don't let that deter you.)Parking: Not a lot of parking but worth the effort.“

I needed to burn off some anxiety while waiting for my husband's surgery to finish, and one of the nurses was kind enough to give me some ideas on where to go. They have an outdoor pickup window, patio seating and live music in the warmer months. The inside is small, but solid. The furniture is beautiful and sturdy. No wobbly tables at Pa's! There are some long seating options, too, so it would be easy to bring the whole family.The menu has a lot of options, which I love. I settled on Pa's Cubano with sweet potato fries and maaaaannnnn did it deliver. Salty, tangy, a little bit sweet, and the cruch factor was on point! The perfect combo if you ask me. The fries? Burger was great - big and delicious and my wife enjoyed her wrap. Bonus points for the King Diamond and Rob Halford photos on the wall. I didn’t get to check out all the prints. Cool spot. “My visits have been quite frequent lately, as I have been impressed by the great atmosphere and the impeccable service provided by our server, Brianna. She is truly amazing - always pleasant and willing to make things right if they happen to be amiss. Moreover, the food at Homes is simply amazing! I highly recommend that you give it a try. They also offer a gluten-free menu, which is a great option for those with dietary restrictions. I believe you would enjoy dining at Homes as much as I have.“
“Their vegan options are plentiful, and every dish we had was delicious. We had the Vegan crab cakes, and the Vegan layer dip. The previous time we had the Vegan burger and Vegan tacos, which were delicious also. Staff are courteous and attentive. The view from the restaurant is nice, and the decor/atmosphere is spot on! “We just did take out and it was great! My husband had the salmon, I had the short ribs and we got an order of the hush puppies. Everything was hot and tasted great at home. We also had an order of the cheesecake egg rolls which were a great sweet treat. Definitely will be back!“
“Honestly can't beat how delicious the burgers are, and for such a fair price..! We used to order from Prime 16, but Christopher Martins does burgers better. They seem to have a better handle of how to actually cook them right, so we have switched!4/5 on atmosphere but only due to inside smelling strongly of beer (fair enough). The drink menu is very good as well.The place is expensive, though. 12$ for a salad is a bit high. 6$ for a drink. But the food is healthy and tastes quite good.Service was fast, but a line forms faster. Expect to wait. Service was terse, not friendly, but that might be the pressure of the line.They is only street parking. The place is close to Yale, so there is lots of traffic. Order ahead if you can.“
“South Bay is a favorite with very good food & drinks, attentive service, and a convenient location in downtown New Haven near parking and theaters. The ambience is generally great but I gave it only 3 stars due to the extreme closeness of the tables and restroom shortage. But we still love it and will be back.“
“This was hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. My special guy's father is friend's with the owner & we brought family visiting from Italy for dinner. This was my first time trying the food, everything was delicious, portions huge. You can order larger, family style meals several days in advance & it's BYOB (love it). I was very surprised by everything as the outside along with the name of the restaurant doesn't remotely sound like an Italian restaurant. I would definitely take the ride just to eat here again.“

Even when busy service is fast and food comes out of the kitchen pretty quickly. Very affordable: a family of 4 can eat dinner for about $100 including tip and a few drinks.Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu with several options. We were offered activities to keep the kids entertained like coloring and small games.“
“The food was great. Beet salad was fresh and well dressed. The honeynut squash ravioli and the pappardelle Bolognese were delicious and the portion was just right. The service was very attentive, although a bit too much and to the point of being somewhat intrusive. The server seemed to rush us to order when we were not ready and were at the table every few minutes filling our water. They replaced the silverware from the 1st course which was again, very attentive and were there right away if we needed anything. Also didn't like that a drink was more expensive in the restaurant than it was at the bar upstairs. That seemed odd.“
