“My second visit was as awesome as my first. Actually it was even better because they now have a $19 prix fixe - It reminds me of the food I had in Italy because of the quality, freshness and attention to detail. Very attentive service too. We loved the Mediterranean fish, crab stuffed mushrooms, beef carpaccio, tiramisu, home made bread, herbed butter, I could go on.... I am looking forward to trying the Brunch.“

“Easily accessible and in walking distance of the New Haven green. Got brussels sprouts and a large pizza. The brussels sprouts were cut and fried in a unique way I had never seen before but it was quite delicious. The pizza was also quite good although a little too much garlic for my tastes (and i love garlic)“

“Literally just left after having the best lunch! My fiancé and I are new to CT and we’ve been desperately trying to find a cool spot with great food. We got the miso and lime mussels and poutine with our beers and it was SO GOOD! Simple but delicious. The portions were huge. The service was great and the beer was even better! “Nestled away from North Main Street is this hidden gem of Italian food. Their marinara sauce is delicious and their portions are just right. It can be a little noisy but it's a good dinner spot for the area ( even if it may take a minute to find parking don't let that deter you.)Parking: Not a lot of parking but worth the effort.“

“Honestly can't beat how delicious the burgers are, and for such a fair price..! We used to order from Prime 16, but Christopher Martins does burgers better. They seem to have a better handle of how to actually cook them right, so we have switched!4/5 on atmosphere but only due to inside smelling strongly of beer (fair enough). “Dive Bar is “my favorite place”, top of the list,cream of the crop. I’m a frequent regular and have shared my love for the Dive Bar with my close friends and family with “check in” pots and pictures since it’s inception twelve years ago. Chris and his Staff are top notch, so friendly and welcoming they make you feel right at home immediately. The ambience is generally great but I gave it only 3 stars due to the extreme closeness of the tables and restroom shortage. But we still love it and will be back.“

“The food was great. Beet salad was fresh and well dressed. The honeynut squash ravioli and the pappardelle Bolognese were delicious and the portion was just right. The service was very attentive, although a bit too much and to the point of being somewhat intrusive. The server seemed to rush us to order when we were not ready and were at the table every few minutes filling our water. They replaced the silverware from the 1st course which was again, very attentive and were there right away if we needed anything. Also didn't like that a drink was more expensive in the restaurant than it was at the bar upstairs. That seemed odd.“

“We come here almost once a week with our two elementary schoolers. The staff is always kind, solicitous, and patient, even when one of our kids wants a number of "customizations" to her mac and cheese order. We always look to find a table near the one tv that isn't playing sports but rather is playing funny videos to keep our kids engaged so that the adults can catch up on our days. The cocktails are good and filled to the rim. And, we always appreciate the rotating specials menu so there is something new to try each time for the adults. Can't ask for much more in a go-to neighborhood restaurant.“
