“The food was excellent at Aspen, as was the service. This was our first meal there, and it was delicious. I had the braised short rib, which fell apart beautifully as soon as I touched it. Melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. The creme brulee cheesecake was delightful - a combo of my two favorite desserts. I hope to eat there many more times in the future!“
“Had a wonderful birthday meal. It was the day before St. Patrick's Day so the specials were Irish oriented. My husband had the whiskey honey glazed salmon which he said was very tasty. My daughter had the traditional corned beef and cabbage and my son had Shepard's pie. Not much was left to bring home in doggie bags. Lots of nice wood paneling inside and we were seated near the fireplace. The grandkids even enjoyed it.Parking: The restaurant is right off of Route 9 in Old Saybrook. There is parking in both the front and the back of the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Walk up ramp for a cess to front door and outdoor seating when the weather is nice.“
“Love this place! Karaoke every Friday and Saturday. It's just a real cozy place full of regulars, and the people there go out of their way to make everyone feel included and safe. It's a popular wedding party hotel, so the spring through fall get to be busy and fun!Wheelchair accessibility: The door directly to the bar area is not wheelchair friendly, but the hotel entry is just to the left and it's very easy and close-by to go through the lobby and into the inner bar entry.“
“If you are looking for good quality pub food at a fair price, you found it here at this cute little place in the heart of Old Saybrook. Nestled on Main Street, RHT provides good food and good service. This was my first visit at RHT and it did not disappoint. I came with my sister. She got a chopped Greek salad that came in an epic tower. I got the Cobb Salad that was perfectly proportioned with fresh ingredients. We split some honey chipotle boneless wings and fries. The wings were perfectly crispy, yet tender in the middle. I don't know what magic they put into making them, but I'm going back for more. The fries were flavorful and perfectly crispy. We came at 11:30 on a wintry Saturday and were the first ones there. By the time we left, there were 3-4 other couples dining. My guess is this place is packed in the evenings and especially in the summer. Food is served on ceramic plates, but utensils and drinks in plastic. If that is something you care about, you won't give it a thought when you are digging into the food. Bottom line, try it out, you won't be disappointed.“
“Wow, just wow! What an amazing hidden jewel this club is!Ken was an amazing host, terrific human being and a dedicated contributor to the arts that has put his soul into the realization of such an amazing arts space. The space is cozy and intimate but really well setup for optimal sound to feature some of the best players one could imagine!Highly support this venue ❤️❤️❤️“
“All around fantastic! Cocktails were creative and not too sweet. Excellent wine selection. We had crispy potato for app which was amazing the excellent mushroom pasta dish and squid ink pasta dish. Service was great. We’ll definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Delicious accommodation for allium allergy“
“We dine at Westbrook lobster at least once a week! We love the specials!Today I had bacon wrapped filet mignon, asparagus and fingerling potatoes! My mom usually has the mussel appetizer which is a meal for her!My husband gets a different fish fish each time. The seafood is always fresh!I love the peartini! My husband loves all the bears on tap and the beer flights. The desserts are great too!The service is beyond out of this world whoever you get. But we usually have Robert who always takes great care of my mom.Today she also got the seafood stuffed mushrooms that were on the special list for dinner! They have an outdoor dining area for the summer! It’s about $10 per appetizer and $20-40 per dinner see menu in pictures!“
“In business since 1850 and for good reason! Charming historic tavern with a small restaurant. The menu is surprisingly huge for a neighborhood pub and they have daily specials. Located in the heart of this enchanting village of Chester this no-frills eatery is a gem.“
“We didn't eat, as the kitchen is staffed during lunch hours, and I often go in the late afternoon. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is great (train theme, since it's in an old station!) and prices are comparable. A great hometown bar that features Open Mics and Live Music in the evening.“
“We had a great time at Doc’s bar and Grille. Very friendly staff great double burger fresh cut fries and some good old boys playing music. Doesn’t get any better than this. If docs brings the right bands in We definitely will go back. Five stars coming from Rocky Hill.“
“I have been to Tapville Social in Westbrook many times now, and it is amazing! I love the concept of self-pour. Instead of one beer, usually I will try like 4 ounces of a few different beers which is fun! It's like how 4 sliders are more fun than one big hamburger haha. And the normal prices are good, and the happy hour prices are 50% off and insane, on Wed. and Thurs! Lots of beers are 30 cents per ounce, so you can get a good craft beer for only $3.60. The only other way to do that is to get a time machine and go back to the year 1988. And as of this time, I do not possess said time machine!Besides the awesome self-pour, there is also a full bar, and lots of drinks in the fridges (Headway, Truly's, cider, wine, etc.). Also I've had food there a few times and it's great. It's also fun to hang out and chill there with friends, or even solo, since there are lots of fun table games like Uno, Ring Toss, Simon, and many more! Speaking of stuff to do, there are always fun events at this location too, like tastings, make your own food and drinks, poker, book clubs, and more!My only "complaint" is that Tapville is not in my backyard haha. If it were, I would pop over every day, and self-pour like there's no tomorrow! Alas, I am forced to drive a whole 12 minutes to this excellent location; I will survive! If someone is not able to have fun at this establishment, then they are probably the type of person who dislikes fun, puppies, and ice cream! There is something for everybody. There is even wine on the self-pour! I look forward to visiting this location again very soon, and popping over to Pepperidge Farm which is right around the corner too. Yum Goldfish! Oh and I almost forgot to mention, the staff (and owners) are kind, funny, and just super helpful! They make you feel very welcome, and even spoiled! Please keep up the good work. Thank you! :)“
“Wandered in with a friend. We were looking for a quiet place to have a drink. Sat at the bar. The pinot noir was yummy so we stayed for another. Atmosphere warm and cozy. Service excellent. Stayed for dinner. Had the tagliarini with seared scallops. Amazingly good. I'm trying to figure out when I can go back. Glad to hear they are extending their hours to 7 days a week“
“Came down with friends for a few drinks and Sea Shanty Night. Good drinks at fairly reasonable prices. The singalong is always a good time. Come early to get a spot, place is small and fills in quickly.Parking: Plenty of parking on a Monday night in the off season, but weekends and peak season is a completely different story“
“We had not been to Liv's for a number of years since our last experience was not positive. We were delighted to find that this time was very different. Our meals were excellent, service was helpful and attentive and our overall experience was most enjoyable.“
