“My wife and I had our first dinner at Vinted Wine Bar tonight. My wife has had a good amount of experience at Vinted, but it was my first time there. Top to bottom... TRULY EXCELLENT!! We shared a nice bottle of Daou Cab while sitting at the bar, and started with the Whipped Hummus, with Crispy Scallion Cake. Best Hummus you'll ever eat, and the warm crispy thin cake slices are very delicious with the Hummus. Terrific! Then we split and shared 2 entrees: The Chicken Milanese, and the Vinted Prime Burger. Both, also super delicious. Rich, flavorful, perfectly prepared by the talented crew in the kitchen lead by the executive chef, and partner, Mike Voight. Ate every bite of everything. Lastly, for desert we shared the Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. Holy cow, that is one incredible desert. Our bartender Chris was very helpful, friendly, and although busy had time to talk with us. And we found all the staff, extremely personable. Mike has a finely tuned ship in Vinted. We'll be back. #impressed“
“What a cool spot!! Slightly difficult to spot, don't overlook this really special spot!! The owners are on site and welcoming to all that stop by. There is a self serve beer, wine and cider wall - seriously!! The charge is by the ounce, so try a taste and see what you like! The system includes getting a personalized card that allows you to "self serve" their amazing brews. The food is also super - I tried one of the flat breads and wasn't disappointed. They were accommodating to a group of about 12 visiting - reserved some tables pushed together for our use and gave us great service. Yes! They did separate checks for everyone because you order using a QR code and pay on the app. They then deliver it to you at the table! Thank you!“

The lasagna was awesome and the portion was more than Icould eat. My wife said her meal was excellent. “This spot is one of my go to restaurants. The food is creative and locally sourced, there are fun specials, the cocktails are hit/miss. Service depends on how busy the restaurant is, it seems like the servers get relatively large sections so when it's busy you might not see your server for a while but they are very attentive when you can get a hold of them. The dessert and coffee is always very good!“

Dont go when they first open. The flat top they cook on isnt hot enough and the food comes out halfway cooked, the veggies are still hard. “Oh my god. The food is so good. The parking is horrible however the food more than makes up for it. We had trouble getting here since they opened but finally could and I'm so mad we waited to come here so long. Being vegetarian it's hard to find good food that isn't boring. Problem forever solved here. Husband and I both got the vegetable Pad See Ew. It's amazing. I couldn't stop eating it and pretty much inhaled the food it's that good. The portions are generous and even with as much as I ate I slowed down and had to bring some home. As for the restaurant itself, at the time we went it's very sensory friendly for autistic people like me. The music is nice and muted. The colors are dark and comfortable. The chairs are comfy. The lighting it dim and warm. No real sounds from the kitchen. Of course we went and were the only people there because we eat early, but it was perfect for me and for us in general. Definitely will be back. So many good things to try!“

We immediately took note of the warm, dive bar atmosphere, with cool tunes playing, sports on the screens, and what appeared to be happy regulars doing their thing. The service was quick and very friendly, and I just had to try the Sea Hag on tap (I'm not a big IPA guy, but it was excellent). The nachos were unpretentious, like something a kid might make at home, but you know what? They were damn tasty and perfectly fit the vibe of the place. “My friend and I went here on a Sunday afternoon, hoping to watch a Patriots loss, which did indeed happen. This is basically a roadside dive pub. We started with the big pretzel, which was coated in too much butter. And the dipping sauces were standard movie theater nacho cheese sauce and a grainy honey dijon dressing. I just opted for the pretzel by itself. I had the namesake burger that was really good, with applewood smoked bacon, jalapeño, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce and onion frizzles. Excellent combo of spicy, crunchy, salty. Great burger. Also a very good variety of draft beers to choose from and a jukebox with a good variety of music. It's a backwoodsy sort of joint in New England.“

“I've been coming to AJ's for over 20 years. literally every time I have friends from out of town visit me and want to have a drink and some good bar food we go to AJ's. every single one of my out-of-town friends always says this is the best bar food they've ever had in their life. I literally have friends who call me up to come to Meriden just to have food from AJ's. my kids are addicted to the food at AJ's as well . I can honestly say if I ever move out of Connecticut, AJ's is one of the very few restaurants that I would ever truly miss and want to stop by if I come back to Connecticut for a visit. “Have visited this restaurant under the new ownership twice. Once for takeout and tonight to dine in. Both experiences were wonderful and most importantly, the food was delicious. For take out we got the chicken parm and for dine in I had the chicken piccata. The staff is very friendly as well. Highly recommended!“
“Very cozy local bar! Staff is very professional and personable. The bar side is separated from George's pizza restaurant, which is nice to know there are multiple ways to dine. My husband and I came for drinks and appetizers. The old-fashioned Tony made for us was crafted beautifully. He made the drink with finesse that showed he was versed in his craft. (Eta, my drink was full and delicious. I only thought to photograph it after I started drinking it). In the video, I filmed him creating an expresso martini (he did exquisitely dress them with expresso beans after I cut the video). Our apps were the coconut shrimp and jalapeño poppers. The coconut shrimp was delightful and cooked very nicely. It also came with a flavorful dipping sauce. The poppers were good, and as an app, both were portioned appropriately. Cannot wait to return and try more of the food menu as well as enjoy the inviting feel of this well established local bar!“
“Giancarlo is the Owner, who is also behind the bar. Very friendly to all races, genders, etc. Jen leads Karaoke on the slower days, i got 4 songs in within the night, when it's crowded, Karaoke is run by another guy. I signed up for 2 songs, sang once, waited over 3 hrs for my next turn (I left before i was called up). Highly recommend the Burger & Fries combo!“
