“My favorite Thai restaurant currently in the greater Hartford area. The food reminds me of my mom's cooking. I make the trip from Hartford To New Britain whenever I want a piece of home. This small quaint restaurant packs a punch and doesn't hold back on flavor. While some places water down the flavor to cater to a broader audience Mai (the owner) chefs it up as if she is in her home kitchen cooking for family. You taste the loving in her cooking. There is limited seating but when you get the chance order a few dishes with friends or family and share the meal Thai style. You can always order in advance and pick up or utilize a delivery service. You won't be disappointed. Ask for Mai (pronounced May) and tell her Ty sent you. She will make sure you're taken care of.”

“Sal worked with us for my grandsons baptism party. The roast beef was tender and flavorful. Lemon chicken was amazing. Roasted vegetables with hot peppers, WOW! Roasted potatoes, fantastic! “We hosted our daughter's confirmation party/dinner here and let me just say, the quality of service began 2 weeks ago when I called to check for availability. Chris was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was more than accommodative to all our requests and made it feel casual that it took the worry out of organizing an event. We were a party of 25. Chris called the day of, to confirm our reservation. We got delayed an hour after the ceremony so I called them and they told us to take our time and that everything was set for us. I even called them 15mins before the crowd got there to put some appetizers in which they took care of seamlessly. Christine was well informed of our party and handled it smoothly. Stan was amazing. He came up to us in the beginning and advised of the modified order. He split the appetizers evenly among the three tables and even downsized some of the orders for us. Nancy was our waitress and she was an absolute machine, never missing a beat, constantly smiling and incredibly successful looking after our entire party. We ordered the flatbreads, garlic cheese bread, pan fried risotto balls and a few Cesar salads for appetizers for each of the tables. The food was top notch, on par with the service. Everyone ordered their own meals and the drinks were excellent too. I ordered the New York strip, medium rare, and the accompanying bacon and onion chutney was a fantastic pairing. I had a salute75 which was one of the best gin martinis I've tried in a very long time, followed by an old fashioned and finished with an Irish coffee. Nancy was always open to requests taking photos and Christine even took a photo of the whole group at the end standing by the Salute wall. We were genuinely looked after like family. It's a modern look inside with a view of the kitchen, not particularly luxurious but simple and elegant with good lighting. Highly recommend this place and we'll definitely be going back. Great job Chris, Christine, Stan and Nancy and kudos to the Salute team working in the background to make this place the best meal and service package experience.”

“I’m not a review writer, but felt compelled to review this restaurant. The food is delicious. The service by the owner was beyond what I’ve experienced. I’m copying the decor in the bathroom in my own house. It was so well done! I’m a picky coffee drinker and would stop back in just for the delicious coffee in the beautiful mugs.I’m anaphylaxis reaction allergic to sesame. A main ingredient of all vegan restaurants. A fact which makes me nervous to dine in any restaurant with more than one sesame dish on the menu. The owner (also our server) clearly understood what an allergy meant and its import. She was honest to tell me that my options were limited because of their long time and ubiquitous use of sesame. I ordered the first item that caught my eye anyway, which was a strawberry salad. She told me that she used all fresh ingredients that she pulled from the refrigerator to ensure that nothing that was on my plate even ever had the chance to touch anything Sesame. My friend, who has eaten here before assured me all of the menu items are delicious, but this experience allowed me to enjoy my delicious salad without fear a first in a long while. Anyone who loves delicious food in an atmosphere you can Immediately identify as home, needs to go to Arles and Boggs.Vegetarian options: All vegan.Dietary restrictions: Owner knows and appreciates dietary restrictions. Go, you will eat delicious food without worry.Parking: Large public parking lot across the street.”

“I fell in love with Birria tacos recently during a visit to TX, so I was really looking forward to trying this food truck. It was a big disappointment. $32 for three small tacos and a quesadilla? They didn’t even include the consome which is a signature part of the Birria experience. You had to pay extra for it. We asked if they had any chicken or shrimp options, which are listed on their website…nope. Just beef, which was pretty bland. Sorry, wanted to like ya, but one and done.”

I believe Back Again Cafe proves itself to be a great central hub location to meet friends, dates, and family for great snacks, drinks, and games! My friends and I like to meet to play MTG. Friendly and helpful staff, and a terrific space with high ceilings and large windows for people watching.”

It makes it a bit more fun as the milkshakes take longer to drink than the regular drinks.I wait for the drinks on a chair that looks like a giant paperclip, a key part of the experience as you wonder how that got there. Maybe one day I'll even buy some giant paperclip chairs for the house to confuse guests.”

“Great atmosphere! Came for pre-turkey day trivia which also was a blanket drive-- good cause! We like ciders and sours so did a flight with Sucker Punch'd and Scorpion Bowl being our favorites! Service was fast, friendly and helpful (the keg of scorpion kicking with my pour so they have me another of my choice, which was awesome). Would def stop in again!”

“Went with some friends… 3 adults and 1 toddler. Seating is comfortable and they have high chairs for the kids. Pros: Service was great a very friendly staff. The food was amazing and fresh! Highly recommended. Everything was so fresh and presented nice on the plates. Cons: food took over an hour to get to our table- they seem to have a good pick up/carry out orders which could be why it takes awhile. If you are all adults and have time to relax then it’s perfect- if you have kids I recommend you order take out.”

“Rocco's is a wonderful and friendly local bakery located In South Meriden CT. The prices are reasonable. Cash only (ATM machine inside). They carry pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, breads, etc. The service is great- Dorothy is super friendly. This is a grab and go place. There is no area to sit down with your treats and eat. The chocolate lemon pie is a favorite. They sell individual pieces of almond, tiramisu, etc. Everything we've purchased has been delicious. This is the only specialty bakery in the area. Highly recommend!”

“Picked up lunch today and brought it home. Excellent food! The goobkwr was outstanding and hubby loves the jalapeno popper dog. Also got Mac & cheese and the baked beans which I highly recommend and of course the salty balls. Had to also get the T-shirt too. Best food in the area. Makes me miss summer cookouts and was a nice break for all the holiday craziness and foods.”
