“Our entire experience at Washington Prime was personal, from the Maitre D learning my name and using it to the fantastic service of Jillian our waitress. The service was personalized, very attentive and companionable! The food was outstanding, including things like the asparagus still being crisp, rather than over-cooked, all meat cooked to perfection, and special requests handled perfectly with a, “no problem.” If I could I'd give 6 stars!“

“While in Stamford, a friend and I felt like having Indian food for lunch and found this gem. The food was spot on and presented nicely. The waiter was very gracious, patient, very pleasant and answered all of our many questions, describing things well.My friend ordered Lamb Kadhai Methiwala (onions, bell peppers and fresh fenugreek.) I ordered Lamb Korma (creamy cashew sauce.) We shared and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The lamb in each was tender. It was nice to share as one was rich and the other less rich with more heat. Both were balanced perfectly with spices. Each lunch plate came out Bento style with a goodie in each section - basmati rice (of course,) Aloo Tikki, a scrumptious vegetable of the day (which was potato with what I believe was tindora a.k.a. Ivy Gourd) and naan. Everything was so delicious that at the time I didn't even think to ask for the various chutneys. My friend and I agreed - we liked this restaurant very much and would definitely come back. Another positive is that it's priced very fairly. We wished we asked the waiter for his name so we could list it here and thank him for his service.“

“Darien is blessed to have an haute cuisine restaurant of this caliber right down town! The foie gras is amazing! Their fresh green salad and especially its dressing is best I've had. The Fougate goes great with their salad. Their fish preparation creates outstanding filets of fresh striped bass, with excellent accompaniments. Their Dining Room Manager is excellent source of knowledge for their wine list. And their chocolate mousse dessert is delicious! I was particularly pleased with the digestif suggested by the Manager. I would strongly recommend a detour to dine at L'Ostal!“

“If ever it were appropriate to say "It looks good enough to eat," that expression applies here. The vegan dishes are as aesthetically pleasing as they are delicious and nutritious. Take a look at my photo for proof.I was surprised by the appearance of the venue: It just looks like a bar in a downtown mall. Also the decibel level of music when I entered was absurd. But as soon as I was seated at a table and remarked about the loudness, my server had it lowered to an acceptable level and I could relax and enjoy the culinary experience to follow.The service is excellent to excess. No fewer than three very friendly people kept asking me if I needed anything. But of course it was the food most of all that made this place stand out. My main dish was the vegan ramen, which was truly comfort food for the soul. And what a stroke of genius to include a tomato! (See photo.)The only vegan disappointment was the lack of a dessert. This is a bizarrely common experience in vegan-friendly establishments. A simple piece of fruit, like mango pieces, would have just hit the spot after the salty dishes. I made the suggestion. “We had a wonderful dinner at Pontos last night. The food was exceptionally good with delicious, well-prepared dishes, and the service was outstanding; the staff was attentive and gracious. Although the exterior and location might seem a little sketchy at first glance, the area is safe and the restaurant's charming ambiance makes up for it. “This is easily the best Caribbean food in Norwalk, if not the best Caribbean food in Fairfield county, or even the best in CT. The food is extremely well priced, with large portions that could feed 2, and the food is absolutely superb. The best and most tender oxtail I’ve ever had by a mile, and some jerk chicken that changed my picky mother’s opinion on spicy food. The sides are delicious and plentiful as well, with great rice and peas, phenomenal Rasta pasta or creamy Mac n cheese, and generous pieces of fried plantain. simply superb and a well loved part of a rotation when I get home from work and want good quality food. Louis is a great and kind man who deserves all the customers in the world! He’s even got vegan options of almost anything on the menu, which I’ve never seen for a Caribbean place! Admittedly not all that familiar with Indian food, it all tasted delicious and it was much more than that. Place is super cozy, drinks are great and 5 star experience all the way around!!! I feel not only is it great for adults but kids alike! I usually get the hot oil pizza with pepperoni and extra cheese. It is amazing for a thin crust. Cute convenient spot with great omelettes and piping hot dinner coffee served in a thick white mug just as god intended.Parking: Pull right to the back and park. In the summer time you can grab a cold Greek frappe coffee and walk to the back dock to the boats and crew practicing.“

“Been coming to this place for 20 years idc what anyone says.. the shredded beef taco and chicken tacos with the salsa verde are good as hell. This isnt sloppy soggy heavy mexican food. Fresh flavors and textures working together. Crispy taco with marinated shredded beef topped with cool lettuce and tomato also crumbled queso fresca with the chiltomate sauce It’s absolute perfection! Rice and beans hit too not overly salted and perfectly cooked. They give you generous portions and chips and salsa with your order. “Pizza crusts are phenomenal. Slightly blackened, soft, yet cooked through. Toppings are inventive and great tasting. But they're only getting 4 stars.Why? The service is slow, and poorly managed. We waited too long for our pies to arrive. Initially we were given the wrong pie and then waited another 10 minutes for the correct pies to arrive. We also noticed another table of two patrons had only one pie arrive and then they had to another 10 minutes for their second pie. Our waiter seemed to want to talk cocktails and work the bar rather than return to our table. We had to ask another waiter for the check... and then take our payment.Bad night? I'm not so sure. On a prior visit for take-out, my phoned-in order still wasn't ready after the 45 minutes that was suggested.... And it took another 15 minutes for my pies to be cooked. They seem to have a real issue with scheduling and timing - which is difficult to understand - they have a pizza oven and they're making pizza, they're not stabilizing the Leaning Tower of Pisa.I'm torn. Pies are great, but the waiting, er, grates.“

It’s a decent spot for just about any event. Get the wings, get the burger, get the drinks. My hubby said the linguini and clams were decent. The bread is fresh and delicious.
