“Cafe 4 is a little hidden gem in Shelton! It’s tucked away in Tower 4 of the Corporate Enterprise Towers, and maybe it’s out of their control, but I think some signage down on the main road and right outside of the tower would really help to boost business. If you work in the towers, you should consider yourself lucky to have such a nice place for breakfast and lunch - I’m certainly jealous! The chicken cutlet on the club sandwich was so flavorful, and we were lucky to catch the chef’s award-winning chili verde that day, and it was DELICIOUS. It’s no surprise it was featured in Brian Baumgartner’s (Kevin from The Office) chili cookbook and has repeatedly won awards at The Meadowlands! The clam chowder and fish taco special were tasty too, and we loved the homemade vinaigrette and candied walnuts on the grilled chicken salad. If we had one critique, we thought that the burger was a bit well-done for our liking. The shortbread cookies we had for a treat were sooo good - served chilled and with a chocolate filling, my mom said they reminded her of Magic Middle’s from when she was a kid. Unfortunately I probably won’t be able to stop here too much because I’m not often off from work during the week, and they’re only open during the week, but I’ll try to make another visit when I can!“
“The Tasty Yolk is the perfect breakfast/lunch/anytime you’re hungry spot. The owners are the best, the staff is always smiling. I love when they run specials and mix things up. Things like bringing in broccoli or doing different soups. Keeps me coming back!“
“Passing through from Maryland and stumbled across this little food truck . The Fatone breakfast burrito was amazing! Best I’ve ever had honestly! “What's not to like? Great service! Easy parking. My food was delivered to the table within 7 minutes of me ordering!! I had the scrambled eggs with corned beef hash. The hash was not the best I had ever eaten but it was hot and crispy ! If you are looking for fancy breakfast, this place isn't it. But if you want a good diner type meal, come to Johnnys!!“
“So as empty nesters, we try to find new places to try each week. Today we ventured to THE PLATE in Milford CT. The reviews were good and we have to agree. The menu items were ambitious. The items we ordered are in the phot description and we wanted to try some standards and some new choices. The chicken fried steak was delicious, highly recommend. The pulled pork hash was good, but the potatoes had a bit of mashed quality when mixed with the pork and I would have water it more well done. The challah was thinner than most, but really delicious. The coffee was meh, but I’m thinking I may be a coffee snob, so don’t go by me. Long story short, nice place to go. Service was solid and the location expands a few storefronts so plenty of seating.“
“Any time I have people visit me, I bring them here for breakfast. They are well staffed, organized, and the food is always amazing. They absolutely live up to their name sake, and have vegetarian/vegan options as well. Be sure to ask for both the red and green hot sauce with your order, you won't regret it!“
