“I wanted to visit my ex coworker Zach @ J Gilberts and maybe get a Burger cuz that's what I had my only time there and its one of the best burgers I've ever had. Plus I didnt want to go too crazy. But when I got there Zach told me about the 16Oz Dry Aged Kansas City Strip Steak Special that they had. I decided to go all out cuz I wantedto see if their steaks measured up to their reputation. Zach recommended a Pinot Noir from Washington that was a perfect pairing for the steak. I gotta say the green beans that I had with a jam and crumbled pecans were insanely good with the garlic mashed potatoes. AND the steak had a nice charred exterior with a perfect juicy medium rare interior. I decided to treat myself and if you are ever thinking of doing the same go to J Gilberts and ask for Zach....you won't be disappointed....you will have one of your best restaurant experiences of your life!“
“Had a huge burger, perfectly cooked, must have been flamed broiled as it had those nice crispy bits that can't be replicated with anything but fire. The pulled pork mac & cheese was great too, heaping portion of a nice creamy mac topped with pulled pork, bbq sauce, and finished with toasted bread crumbs. First timer, was there for Tuesday night pool league, had live music and good food, give it a whirl.“
“My wife and I had our first dinner at Vinted Wine Bar tonight. My wife has had a good amount of experience at Vinted, but it was my first time there. Top to bottom... TRULY EXCELLENT!! We shared a nice bottle of Daou Cab while sitting at the bar, and started with the Whipped Hummus, with Crispy Scallion Cake. Best Hummus you'll ever eat, and the warm crispy thin cake slices are very delicious with the Hummus. Terrific! Then we split and shared 2 entrees: The Chicken Milanese, and the Vinted Prime Burger. Both, also super delicious. Rich, flavorful, perfectly prepared by the talented crew in the kitchen lead by the executive chef, and partner, Mike Voight. Ate every bite of everything. Lastly, for desert we shared the Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. Holy cow, that is one incredible desert. Our bartender Chris was very helpful, friendly, and although busy had time to talk with us. And we found all the staff, extremely personable. Mike has a finely tuned ship in Vinted. We'll be back. #impressed“

“The ambience was very welcoming and high end. We had just come from dropping our son off to college in the area and was uneasy about the dress code but they were more than welcoming. The food was outstanding but the service... (Jason) went above and beyond. After driving so far and spending the day moving our son in this was just what we needed. We had the oysters , tuna tartare, lobster pierogies for starters ! Delicious! For dinner my daughter had the dry aged burger and she loved it . I had the surf and turf ( amazing) my husband had the prime NY strip. Cocktails were great. Cons- tried to seat us at back table next to restrooms (common experience for older women); we asked for window seating and they accommodated. “Hamachi Crudo-Thai basil, peanut, strawberry”was over-sauced, sauce was heavy, had many jalapeños!; all disguised delicate flavor of fish.“
“Good food in little old Enfield. Acapulco serves up the Tex-Mex cuisine that's evolved from Mexican, Texan, Californian, and other influences. Certainly not "authentic Mexican," the food is familiar and comforting. The food is much milder and less aggressively spiced than Tex-Mex closer to the Mexican States, that's probably quite pleasing to most customers in Enfield. The service is always helpful and pleasant.When we come into town and want some quality Tex-Mex comfort food, Acapulcos is at the top of our list, and they always make us very happy.“

“I honestly did not have high hopes for this place. But I am happy to say that we have gotten food here about 5 times now, and it's great. Good prices, and they deliver incredibly fast. The sushi is great, if you are a sushi purest type of person, which I mean stay away from the crazy rolls and stick with some sashimi or nigiri, they do an awesome job with it. Perfect cuts, perfect temperature. If I had to critique I would say, use less panko in your spicy rolls and those could be fantastic too. I will keep going back!“

Now that I live in the South, I find myself jonesing for the First and Last grilled sausage and peppers, served with side of shells in marinara. It rarely gets better than this, even if you find the real Italian sausage; I've been living in Charleston, a foodie paradise, but I have yet to find the real, homemade salsiccia that you get at First and Last, or buy at D&D market, close by. So mangia Hartford, and pray that this place never changes!“
