“We started off with a very nice and friendly waitress that brought us some amazing drinks. We ordered sushi, a pu pu platter, and some pork fried rice. We were all stunned at the amazing quality of the food and how quickly we were served. The food was absolutely delicious, and we can't wait to go back again. We haven't had Chinese food this good, since I was a kid. This family owned business is definitely a hidden gem you should try out.“

“I work close by and order from them very often. They serve the most delicious Chinese food in the area. Some of my favorites are the House loMein and Singapore noodles. There’s always so much of everything, and it’s is addictively delicious… I usually eat these by myself and then am so full, I feel I can be rolled away. It’s a great feeling. They use very fresh, HUGE shrimp most of the time and they are not stingy with the meat. The fried scallops are also a nice treat, and so are the bbq pork ribs with white rice. I do not recommend the seafood soup, but overall, this is my favorite Chinese restaurant in CT.“

“Hole in the wall and strictly set up for take out even though there is some seating, food is made with a lot of heart. Always happy with whatever I am in the mood to order. Family owned and the chef works hard and takes pride in all that he makes. Not fancy, just simple American Chinese style, not greasy, fresh ingredients and clean. They have so many regulars with generations going there, it's a family atmosphere. This place was recommended to me by someone who grew up in the area and went to high school over 30 years ago. They love their boneless ribs and Half-chicken.“

“Better than normal Chinese. Something special and different about the flavors. Egg Foo Young is best around, so far. Brown sauce, under pallet review. Good, but something from my 70 yrs of eating this type of food hints, very slightly of a missing, perhaps, a family favorite spice???“

“Chef Jiang in Farmington boasts an authentic menu that deviates from the usual Americanized Chinese fare. While I appreciate their commitment to regional Chinese cuisine, my experience fell a bit short of expectations. At first when we arrived they were mopping the floors and the cleaner smell overpowered our senses. We started with an array of dumplings, excited to dive into this cornerstone of Chinese dim sum. The vegetable fried dumplings were undeniably fresh, showcasing crisp wrappers and plump fillings. However, the flavor profile leaned too heavily on the sauce we dipped them in leaving them a bit one-dimensional. The shrimp and sticky rice shumai came across similarly, with the offering a punch of fishiness that overpowered. The highlight of our meal were the dumplings in chili sauce. Each bite burst with a satisfying heat, balanced by the richness of the filling. Again, the freshness of the dumplings shone through, but the flavor could have benefited from additional complexity. The soup dumplings mirrored the above sentiment.Ultimately, while Chef Jiang offers a refreshing departure from the familiar, the execution didn't quite match the ambition. The emphasis on freshness is commendable, but I yearned for more nuanced flavors in the fillings and sauces. We ended up stopping before delving further into the menu, as the portions were generous.Would I recommend Chef Jiang? It depends on your culinary compass. If you're an adventurous diner seeking authentic Chinese flavors, it's worth a try. However, if you crave Americanized Chinese food, you might leave wanting more“

“A very few and far between authentic asian restaurant here in CT. I have been to Xi'an on multiple occasions and I can truly say the food is AUTHENTIC. Not only is the food great but so is the service. The LiangPi noodles is a well know street food in Xi'an and they have successfully brought it here to my neighborhood. Upon the other dishes I have tried, my personal favorites are the cumin beef noodle, spicy sour lamb dumplings, as well as the pork sauce noodles. I highly recommend this place as this is now my go to food spot!“
