“The fish and chips are great and more than enough in a serving. I’m very impressed with the variety of English items they carry such as the chocolates, biscuits, and other candy. They also have alcohol which is a plus! The chef is always swagged out, funny, and takes the time to explain items on the menu.“
“Nice and intimate pub. We came around 8:30 on a Friday night. They have lots of specials including $8 martinis on Wednesday (which were honestly okay). They have two menus available-a more traditional bar and British menu along with the Thai menu from upstairs. They told us they have live music and trivia on Thursdays. Very comfortable and low key spot.“
“The food was good the slum dog was very different but very flavorful in a good way. If you like hot dogs definitely give it a try. I love roasted brussel sprouts and this place didnt disappoint they were crispy, salty, and sweet. The salmon and mashed potatoes was cooked perfectly for me. The mashed potatoes do have onion strings in them. It was unexpected but they were good. Lastly the bread pudding was okay I preferred it to be a bit warmer than it was but other than that it was delicious. The service was good and the atmosphere was a tiny bit noisy due to families with children. But it was bearable overall I would go here again.“
“The Queen Vic is located on the H Street Corridor. It is a fun pub and event space. I like the royal theme. Check the web site for hours since they vary. The DC Street car runs by H Street. The area can be sketchy at night. Stay with your group and have a cross body bag. It can get crowded on weekends. The menu is typical British pub food.“
