“This is worth the stop. Screen porch dining with a daily special. Burger basket is hefty (go for the Queen not King) with delish burger, bun, fries and slaw. Love the creamy slaw. Ample soda drinks too. Can’t wait to go back for a grilled honey bun!”

I couldnt finish it because of its lack of appeal. 2.5/5The wings were cooked well, tasted good and had crunch to the skin, and were plentiful... making this appetizer dish 5/5.Soup was a bit bland considering it had a noticeable variety if contents... I didn't try and salt it perhaps I could have tried that. It was a small portion but overall wasn't bad it just wasn't great. 4/5Chips and fish dip. Interesting dip choice. A bit salty for my liking which made it hard to indulge in. As one single eater unlike other dips I've had, I couldnt finish it. This dish would be best for a large group where everyone has a couple of chips each. 3/5Atmosphere of the place was very good. Lots of natural lighting. Deer off in the distance was a nice touch lol. Overall not a bad place if your here I'm not exactly sure if it's worth driving an hour for but I could be wrong.”

“We stop at Smokin' Joe's BBQ nearly every time we kayak on the Peace River out of Paynes Creek State Park. Their food is ALWAYS delish! We had beef brisket sandwich platters and the shredded brisket was moist and out of this world! I didn't even need sauce. Their coleslaw was grated and slightly sweetened - just the way we like it. It's a no frills, homey joint with the BEST food kind of in the middle of nowhere. They smoke their own meats right on property, so it's ALWAYS fresh. Joe's won't disappoint.”

“This is a Hidden little gem in Fort Meade. I came across this place when I started working in the area, by a menu that was in my office. It looks like a take out only restaurant just from the outside and in passing , I decided to order take out for lunch and was so surprised at the seating available for dine-in. I enjoyed their fried okra and a pressed Cuban that of which I saved half for for dinner. It was alot and it was the best cheat day lunch in Fort Meade. The okra was a tiny bit tough and under cooked but all in all delicious.”

I could live off their chicken pot pie soup and chicken tenders with fries. You get crazy portions for a good price. Absolutely love the staff, Mary is such a special lady and probably my favorite part about eating here. I hope it stays this way forever!”

“This is absolutely a hidden little gem. We fell upon this little spot tonight and felt like we walked into a family members home. It is a cozy lil spot, unpretentious and homey. My buffalo chicken salad was delicious, fresh and flavorful. We will return without a doubt. We met some lovely locals that engaged us in conversation and we left feeling so happy! The owner is a doll! If you decide to go here, bring her a little birdhouse as she collects them and they are all over the restaurant This is our new spot for lunch and dinners!”

“The food here is fabulous. Huge portions. Only 1 complaint. My husband had hot tea and he asked for another cup of hot water. He planned on using his first tea bag. When the bill came we got charged $2.50 for the second cup of hot water. After inquiring about the charge we were told they charge for the second cup of hot water. I never heard of this before. Since I had to pay for the water, I asked for the tea bag. Other refills were free. Not happy but the food was delicious.”

“We had soup and salad bar, also lasagna a couple times and pizza several times. I would recommend the pizza maker guy deliver the pies to the table when ready. At least twice the pizza was cold because the waitstaff was busy chatting in the front lobby while it sat. All the food was good, but service was not attentive.”

“It's a hole in the wall, family type place. The outside of the building looks like a motel office. It's next door to Alan Jay car dealership on the Left, up on a hill.Service was excellent. Lots of locals keeps this place hopping. Good food for a great price. Not too over the top in price. Their biscuits are big, so good and fresh.
