“I am so glad I stumbled upon this restaurant. Dim Sum Kitchen is one of the best local Asian spots that I have been to in a very long time. They have excellent food and great service. It’s an extremely busy restaurant, but the atmosphere is rather calm. The space is quaint, intimate, and quite comforting, also. I love it here. I highly recommend the steamed shrimp dumplings!“

“I am kinda picky when it comes to cheap strip mall-type Chinese food.

I mean, it's cheap, so you're not expecting haute cuisine, but it still needs to be filling and tasty and cost <$10 for a huge serving. You know what I mean!

Anyway, our other local spot, China Taste, changed its recipes up about 6 months ago and we started getting really dry sesame chicken. So tonight we gave this place a shot.

A bit further from our house, but worth the extra 3 minute drive, based on our first experience! Saucy, sweet, not too much breading - in short, very tasty. The rice was a bit mealy but it was a tradeoff I'd make in a heartbeat.

“Same great fresh food since 2016. I used to work nearby and go there for lunch. The best beef broccoli and soups I've had from a Chinese restaurant. Lunch specials under $10. The owners are very friendly. We're regular customers.

“I'm from Phila. where we had excellent Asian restaurants. We haven't been impressed with any of the Chinese restaurants in Bradenton until we found China Gourmet. The food tastes great, is very well prepared, and we enjoy it very much. The lady at the counter was very nice and helpful. This is our new go to Chinese restaurant for take out. Great job!!!“

“The octopus kebab was tasty, but definitely overcooked (very very rubbery). I also had fried calamari (tasted great). The entree ordered was braised beef with rice. The taste was good (not wow), but pretty good. Service was excellent (very attentive).“

“Clean, delicious dim sum! Better than the location by Lakewood ranch!! Try their rice rolls for lunch or homemade rice noodles with XO sauce for dinner. Or stop in for some tea & Portuguese custards! The pork buns are very sweet. This takes me back to New York City chinatown (of course nothing compares but this comes close). Not your typical junky Chinese food establishment - this place is different- no wonder they are packed!“

“I ordered from this restaurant and was extremely happy! Food was fantastic! Nice and moist, not dry at all. Loads of flavor! Quality and quantity matched up. When I asked for soy sauce and duck sauce they weren't stingy at all with it. Customer service was great. I was greeted immediately and was invited to come back, which I definitely will! “One of, if not the best Chinese restaurant in the area. The restaurant is very clean, the staff are friendly and professional and the quality and consistency of the food are great!I've been eating here often for the last couple years and the consistency of the food has been excellent, there's hardly ever a time where I have had my food prepared differently, they've always allowed modifications to my meal (within reason) extra egg, add shrimp, lo mein, etc. They've been very accommodating.If you're into spicy dishes I highly recommend the hot and spicy chicken or the house special chow mei fun (Singapore rice noodles) or if you're not a fan of spicy you cant go wrong with the sweet and sour chicken or triple delight in garlic sauce.If I were to grade this restaurant overall I would definitely give them an A. Definitely my Go-to recommendation for Chinese food in the area.Unfortunately they only offer delivery through door dash and whatnot.The restaurant seats up to about 20 people but it's usually busy so seating can be limited.Also it is a casual dining experience, to-go and dine-in type. No table waiter's here.Wait time is also usually 10/15min and the service is usually pretty speedy, maybe max 20min if they're busy.

Vegetarian options: Small amount of vegetarian options, although they can modify almost any dish to accommodate for vegetarians.“
