Plan A had been to hit up the Whole Foods across the street for a quick snack, but as luck would have it, traffic congestion plus an open parking spot in front of Smile redirected me here. Bringing me back from my review hiatus ... the one and only, Smile Empanadas. This tucked away south Miami shop is small, cute, and my oh my, packs deliciousness into every bite. These empanadas aren't like others. You don't bite in, and question "why'd I want an empanada in the first place?", "where's the meat?", "this is so sad." Probably the best empanadas I've had in Miami! We are not from the area and stopped in for something quick and so happy we did. We had the La 10 which we gave a 10! Three Spinach is unbelievable 10+? and then I had the guava and cheese as my dessert 10. Super happy! My husband had the Beef which he gives an 8, La 10 which he gave a 10, and tomatoes and mozzarella which he gave a 9. We both got lattes and they were good but we are coffee snobs which is why I don't say it was awesome....read full review
