“I was a regular patron of this restaurant under the previous ownership. It was my favorite place for Mexican cuisine in Lake Co. So when I discovered it was under new management I was thoroughly disappointed. That all changed this evening when I actually took my family in for an early dinner. It was around 5 p.m. and we had the entire place to ourselves. My wife and I had the three-enchilada dinner with beans and rice, and a side of guacamole. I tried one of each enchilada offered: chicken, beef, and cheese. They were all delicious! The guacamole, while not quite the same as the previous owner's, was also very good. Salsa and chips: delicious. My son had the quesadilla and was also unexpectedly impressed (at first he said nothing on the menu looked exciting enough for him. After eating he quickly changed his mind). In short, this will be my new go-to Mexican place in this area. Better Mexican food than anything else around here. Highly recommended!!!“

“This place has the best authentic Mexican food . We had the enchiladas with the rice and beans. Also had the tongue tacos and the Cabeza tacos. So good. The food was amazing. Definitely a taste of Mexico. It's a small place. Only 6 tables but also doubles as a meat market. The staff was super friendly. Did not have a long wait for our food. Maybe twelve minutes or so, considering all the people that were coming in for take out. This will be my go to place for Mexican food. Definitely a hidden gem.“

“La Perla Tapatia accepted a reservation for 9 on a busy Friday night, when all other restaurants we called would not accept reservations. Despite being incredibly busy, our table was ready for us when we arrived. For the amount of staff and patrons (extremely busy) they had, the service was top notch and the food was well done and timely. The entire crew hustled all night long, and the kitchen cranked out delicious food. We'll be back. Chapala salad with steak was super, too.“

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

“I eat here religiously. 2-3 times a week. Food is always fresh, and my personal experience extremely fast to come out of the kitchen. This is somewhere I’d recommend driving to if you’re wanting authenticity. 5 stars does not do this place justice. I give it 10 stars across the board.“

“Have been to this spot twice, spread out about 5 years apart. As far as the decor goes, it's a total hole in the wall, but it's clean with great service and the food is fantastic. I went today for the second time. The first time I had enchiladas and they were terrific. Went back today with a couple friends. Again, the service was terrific, and the food was as well. I had the Fish Soup, my friends had beef & chicken fajitas and a smothered chicken chimichanga. All the dishes were huge portions and really delicious. I gave a slightly lower ranking for atmosphere because they had the music blaring so loud, we couldn't hear each other at all.“

“Everything about Salsita's is magic. Their customer service is top notch, and just as importantly, their food is fantastic. I usually get the carne asada street tacos with a side of rice and beans, and my partner loves the carnitas quesadilla. Their red salsa is spot on with what I grew up with in Southern California. The elote in a cup is not to be missed and is made with fresh corn. Get it 'spicy' to have it prepared with mayonnaise and Tajin!“

“this is the second time we've ordered chipotle later in the evening and gotten the b squad. I left a review on Google 2 months ago with pictures of how poorly our burritos were assembled. once again, we find ourselves in the same position. I don't recommend drive through, go inside and make sure they do it properly. I've even been inside placing and order and watched them tear another person's burrito apart - which happened to be an online order. they didn't even bother to try to grab a different wrap. horrible service. “Well all things considered this was a good meal. A bit pricey but tasted good. So happy to see that they brought back the green sauce. That's the best sauce ever. Now if we can just get them to bring back the Taco Light with the awesome fried flour light and flaky shell. That and the Encharito are some favorites of mine. Unfortunately they don't make their ingredients fresh at the restaurant. Everything is prepared and frozen elsewhere so the employees never actually cook anything. Taco Bell was my first job and I was so proud to actually cook the food we served at our location. We cooked the meat and mixed in the seasonings. We actually pressure cooked our own beans too. We also prepared all our fresh vegetables as needed. We were actually cooks. Those were the days. Now that's gone and Taco Bell has lost it's edge and has become just another fast food joint masquerading as the Bell of old😕“

“Stopped by for lunch yesterday and had a really positive experience. Welcomed in by employees and thanked for coming in. Our food was really fresh. Chips and Taco shells super crispy. We were out of town in Leesburg and had never been to this one before. Much better than the Taco Bell in my hometown! I think it was the manager who was welcoming people in and and employee on his break at a table told us to have a good day on the way out. Great customer contact and service guys👍 nicely done.“
