“On June 16, we went to Kaluz Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale to celebrate my mother’s 85th birthday. We are regulars at Kaluz to the point where we have the cell phone numbers of several employees. In a nutshell, Anthony, the manager, should not hold that position in a restaurant like Kaluz. My husband and Anthony exchanged words and Anthony’s solution to the issue was telling us, “You should not come back here. The owners do not want parties larger than five people.” My jaw dropped. I could not believe that a manager’s solution to an issue about seating us sooner, while we waited for two other people in our party, especially since my 85-year-old mother could not stand for long, was to tell us, on two separate occasions, that we should not come back. Anthony also put the entire blame on the owners of the restaurant. We go to Kaluz almost on a weekly basis, tip extremely well and have taken countless people there that have also ended up being regulars at Kaluz. No restaurant manager should EVER tell a customer, regular or not, to not come back regardless of the issue. Needless to say, we will not be going back to Kaluz as long as Anthony continues working“

We tried the plain cheese & we all enjoyed it. We also did breakfast here one day and it was very good as well! A nice diner style breakfast!“

“The best expirience not only our drinks were made to perfection but the service starting with Dion by the bar tables to the young tall guy bar tender that made the best espresso martini and pear martini, to everybody else were gracious, attentive and made a great atmosphere for us!!! “I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was given time to review the menu (since it was my first time coming there). I wanted the baby back ribs; but, was told it was no longer available as an option. So, I ordered the St. Louis styled ribs, w/ collard greens and mac n' cheese. The ribs were tender and very tasty. The mustard bar-b-que sauce was delish. The mac n' cheese was very good and cheesy. And, the collards were awesome. I was thoroughly pleased w/ my meal. This will now be my new go to spot for ribs, etc. I highly recommend this location.“

“This restaurant is exceptional! we went with our family after our civil ceremony and their service was beyond expectations. they made every effort to accommodate us as we found them very last minute and the weather turned rainy and windy suddenly. we wanted to sit outside, and they reserved the table without hesitation and then afterwards accommodated us inside when the rain started. They were so attentive, courteous, and made sure we were all taken care of. they had live music with an excellent singer who was talented and played with our kids and sang with them. the hostess Sally, was kind and sweet and very attentive!. Michael was a great server as well. ! all of them were great! the food was superb! great tasting with many options and excellent quality. thank you so much for making our night special. I will highly recommend this restaurant.“

Cannot say enough good things about her. She gave us so many recommendations for places to check out during our stay. Cannot go wrong with this place. We originally planned to head out for breakfast each morning, but Rivas has such great service and quality breakfast and coffee that we ended up eating “in” at the hotel each morning.

The staff are kind, and very “everything is possible” in mindset. We appreciate their work, and we appreciate their speed of service. We would not be frequenting Rivas if they weren’t there providing VIP service.

Hot tip - ask for mimosas “to go” ahead of a pool walk. You deserve it.“
