“This restaurant gets 4 stars because of the owner going out of her way to make fresh oxtails for my daughter. The oxtail's themselves were NOT my cup of tea but my daughter liked them. The macaroni and candied yams were delicious. I think the goal is to go back and order soul food that is more "American" and see how that turns out. They know how to treat customers even though the place is a quaint little spot in Fort Pierce. It makes it just that much nicer to me. Like going to my aunts kitchen!“
“First time visiting Sugar and Spice Soul Food Restaurant on Okeechobee Road in Fort Pierce Florida and the Oxtail was savory and tender and the collard greens spoke for themselves and the candy yams were spot on and the yellow rice were cooked to perfection everything was served hot and seasoned perfectly and to top it off a coconut cut fresh to set my mouth to ? “Kinfolks is my favorite place to go for amazing soul food. The deviled eggs with the fried chicken on top with the drizzle of hot sauce are so damn good! Getting the fried chicken smothered or plain will have you satisfied either way. My least favorite side would be the macaroni and cheese. Also, the desserts are amazing! Try the banana pudding or strawberry crunch cake.“

“We were in Fort Pierce for some family fun, and we couldn't leave without going to NuNus . The food was amazing! I had the deep fried red snapper, rice & shrimp,macaroni/cheese, and greens. The fish was fried, just right. The Mac was cheesy and flavorful. The greens were well cooked and seasoned well.My son had fried chicken that was finger licking good. My daughter had fried catfish, candy yams, and corn bread. A must try if your in Fort Pierce“
“Booked for my baby shower. The whole experience was everything! The timing. The presentation. Even the care they showed for my event I felt like my event was a priority. The tuna Mac is the best tuna max I’ve had in my whole life not even kidding! Great food id recommend them to anybody!“
