“Humble Wood Fire Pizza is located in the South Main Station plaza and unfortunately doesn't have great signage to advertise itself. However, it's by far the best vegan pizza I've ever had. All of the pizzas can be made vegan at no additional charge. There are also vegan side options including garlic knots and BBQ tempeh.“

“Awesome surprise in the University of Florida Reitz student union. It's only open Monday to Friday at lunchtime, but so much better than the choices in the food court. For $8.99, you Not only get an all you can eat Buffet (That's not humongous, but has vegetarian options) and a view of campus, but there is also waiter service, and the young students waiters are so eager to help you and bring water and coffee. I had vegetarian vegetable and mushroom soup, ratatouille, lemon herb potatoes, salad from the salad bar, and a little dessert. The garden burger jambalaya was a nice idea, but it was pretty gross. Some days they have tofu and the salad bar but on my visit they did not. Menu is posted online on the unions website. This was super pleasant, with great service and good vegetarian choices.“

“A Culinary Surprise in a School Cafeteria: Aveon's Burger Brilliance at Gator CornerIt was an ordinary weekday when I found myself wandering into Gator Corner Dining Center, a school cafeteria known for its buffet-style offerings and bustling atmosphere. I was prepared for the standard fare one typically expects from a school dining hall. However, fate had other plans, as I discovered the exceptional burger window manned by Aveon, a chef who defied the ordinary and brought gourmet flair to the humble school cafeteria.Aveon, an enthusiastic and affable presence behind the burger window, attracted students with amazing grilling skills. His passion for crafting delicious burgers was palpable, and it was clear that he took great pride in his work. The star of his window? The Aveon Burger, an unassuming gem that stood out amidst the school cafeteria's more typical offerings.Upon receiving my Aveon Burger, I was immediately struck by its presentation. Despite the constraints of a cafeteria environment, the burger was well-assembled and visually appealing. The first bite confirmed that this was no ordinary cafeteria burger. The bun was soft and fresh, a perfect vessel for the flavors within. The beef patty was seasoned to perfection and cooked to a juicy medium, a delightful surprise in a school dining setting. The simple yet effective seasoning allowed the quality of the beef to shine through, reminding me that sometimes, less is indeed more.I selected the toppings to enhance the burger's overall taste. Crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onion provided a refreshing contrast to the rich patty, while the melted cheese added a touch of indulgence. Though no special sauce was present, the balance of flavors was so expertly executed that I didn't miss it.As I enjoyed each bite, I marveled at how Aveon had managed to elevate a simple cafeteria burger to something truly memorable. His dedication to his craft was evident in every aspect of the burger, from the quality ingredients to the thoughtful grilling. In conclusion, the Aveon Burger at Gator Corner Dining Center's burger window is a delightful surprise that defies expectations and proves that gourmet experiences can be found in the most unexpected places. If you find yourself at Gator Corner, don't miss the chance to try Aveon's creation—it's a testament to what passion, skill, and attention to detail can achieve, even in a school cafeteria setting.“

“I had lunch at Pollo Tropical and it was really good. The 1/2 chicken and one side is 7.09 and $0.80 more for a second side. Good portions at a reasonable price. The line was a bit long, but it moved reasonably fast. Plantains dont count as a side, and I think they should. It's just about the same price as most side items. That was my only complaint. The roll also had no flavor, but that's minor. The redone good court is great! The additional sheeting means I no longer have to stalk tables while my food gets cold“
