“Gem of a drafthouse in San Marco with plenty of tasty beer options. My faves are the Styrofoam Pony, the San Marco Sour and Nonchalant IPA. Great ambience inside and out and you might just catch a train cruising by too if you're lucky.“
“We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hyperion Brewing Company and I can’t recommend hosting an event here enough. We have stopped in on multiple occasions for their good vibes and great beers - but having them host our wedding was one of the best decisions we made while planning. We worked with Aprill early on and she helped us figure out how to make the day we envisioned in our heads into a reality. We had no idea what to expect, honestly - but she was a huge help and really communicated with us throughout the entire process and helped it all come to life. Jay and their mom (I’m so sorry I’m bad at names) were honestly so helpful the day of. Everything ran so much smoother than we could have ever imagined thanks to all of their support. We had our ceremony in the beer garden and the reception throughout both indoor and outdoor of the brewery. We brought out family, friends, kids, AND DOGS, and everyone had a great time! They had games setup and honestly something for everyone to enjoy. Working with them took a huge weight off our shoulders and their patience with us while we navigated wedding planning and what we wanted is unmatched. Their kindness and warmth made the night feel like we were having an intimate gathering with close pals at a family member’s house but with the benefits of good beer and great air conditioning. (Seriously, people were in and out all night and it still felt nice inside??) Also, because I know it’s important - the bathrooms were always clean. Everything was always clean and comfortable and just perfect.“
“Absolutely love this place! The food is incredible, and have a great variety of drink on the menu. I highly recommend the wicked burger and flights of cider or beer for food/drink. Atmosphere is also a lot of fun with live music, beer garden outside and dock ramp for the view. Definitely worth checking out!“
“I love Ben’s Butt! No really he’s a pulled pork sandwich. Lol. The drafts are fantastic. Try the piano ? tie draft. The party wave. And all the IPAs are very full of flavor and rich smooth finishes. The burger is amazing. And the staff are very kind and helpful. Don’t forget to take in the view from upstairs on the roof top. Don’t worry they have an elevator too. Enjoy ?“

While the variety is still commendable, the frequency of new additions seems to have tapered a bit. This isn't a deal-breaker but something for the regulars to note.In summary, Alewife is a win in my book. “That bar was fantastic! The staff were really friendly and helpful, and those German beers they had were delicious and definitely packed a punch! The backyard was huge and had such a cool vibe – perfect for hanging out. I loved the atmosphere, especially hearing some people speaking German. My friend even had a chat with the bartender in German. It was such an awesome night there! I have met a few people which are cool :D“
“First time, and I loved it. The atmosphere was wonderful. I had lunch with my daughter and really enjoyed it. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Definitely not the average chicken sandwich. It's worth every dollar spent. Try them out, and you will not be disappointed ?“
“First time dining at The District SPR and it was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I had the best time for date night! Jojo was are bartender and he was friendly, knowledgeable and made some awesome drinks but just fantastic dude all around! If I could give him 20 stars I would! The food was a delight and the vibe was on point! My boyfriend had the sandwich special which was so big he couldn't even finish it! I had the flank steak with mash, and don't miss out on the Brussels and creme Brule for dessert. And now that I'm a local to the neighborhood they made me a vip! So look out I will be there all the time! Hands down best local food in Springfield!“
