“Great food, great beer, and great environment. Talked to the owner who made some recommendations that lived up to the hype. Also, he's a fellow Orioles fan, which I appreciate. Laid back vibe. Order food from the counter and beer from the bar. Got the BBQ brisket sandwich with spicy BBQ sauce on the side. Delicious. Plenty of tables and space. They have TV's if you want to catch a game. I'm from out of town, but if I was a local, this would be my go to spot.“

King Maker Brewing LLC Brewery • $
720 King St, Jacksonville

“We stopped into King Maker to refresh and refuel after an afternoon of curio and vintage shopping. It was the perfect choice. King Maker Brewery had a nice amount of diverse styles on tap (I am fan of sours and was not disappointed) and the kitchen had upscaled what are often considered to be bar food standards. We tried burgers and chicken sandwiches - and enjoyed them all - but the corn bites and fried pickles are what stood out for our group. Both the bites and pickles were lightly breaded and fried perfectly. Crisp outside, molten inside. The pickle's sharp vinegar cut the oil beautifully. If I could get an order now, I would. There were a good number of options on tap ensuring something for everyone. We tried the Ziggy Salz and Sweet Caroline, and both lives up to their names. The Ziggy was salt forward, but not tongue burning, and the Sweet Caroline was not cloying. We also enjoyed their dry cider which reminded us of some of our favorite British local brews with it's crispness. The testing room itself is pleasant, clean, and decorated with the work of local artists. The staff was fun, knowledgeable, and took great care of our party. Things to know: * Even more variety to be trapped in the months to come as the brewery brings additional equipment online. * There is a beer garden if you'd prefer to sit outside. * King Maker also has an event space, which may be just what you need, or may cause some parking heartburn depending on whether it is you event or not.“

Historically Hoppy Brewing Company Brewery • $

“Cozy little hangout with decent beers. The real stand-out is the Witty Wheat, though. It's got both a creaminess and tanginess you wouldn't expect from an normal wheat beer. There's a selection of games and such on the wall to have fun with as well.Only complaint was that the bartender seemed like he was maybe a bit hung over or something.“

Love the Cherry Bombshell and The Snipe. Such tasty combos. You could spend hours looking at all the Veteran memorabilia on the walls. Food truck on some evenings too. “You Googled restaurants and found this one. Keep reading this review and then get in here. They’ve been BOOMIN in 2024 so far. Word must be getting out. Mexican STREET FOOD. Unassuming building on the corner of a busy street off of I95. If you’re in town for a sporting event, vacation, funeral or just wanna PIG out, Tepeyolot is an easy choice. I seen a dude eat chicken wings and then a whole burrito here once. Was it me? Yes. Also LOVE that they’re so charitable. Joe (bartender pictured below) is rocking a shirt of a local non-profit H.E.A.D. On Youth Impact. They raise money for children in hospitals. Tepeyolot Cerveceria has mi corazón ❤️❤️“

Legacy Ale Works Brewery • $$

“I had 2 flights & Beer Mac & Cheese ($33 before taxes & tip), amazing collection of beers. Disorder was delicious Hazy beer, also Caspers Pale Ale with Chili. I'm definitely going back to try the darker beers, I was at the bar so the service was good but I saw a huge line in the rush hour but a older gentleman helped out the beer tender, so expect some waiting for your next beer if you have a table. Staff is very friendly and the room behind has a couch seems very cozy.“

Hyperion Brewing Company Brewery • $$
1744 N Main St, Jacksonville

“We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hyperion Brewing Company and I can’t recommend hosting an event here enough. We have stopped in on multiple occasions for their good vibes and great beers - but having them host our wedding was one of the best decisions we made while planning. We worked with Aprill early on and she helped us figure out how to make the day we envisioned in our heads into a reality. We had no idea what to expect, honestly - but she was a huge help and really communicated with us throughout the entire process and helped it all come to life. Jay and their mom (I’m so sorry I’m bad at names) were honestly so helpful the day of. Everything ran so much smoother than we could have ever imagined thanks to all of their support. We had our ceremony in the beer garden and the reception throughout both indoor and outdoor of the brewery. We brought out family, friends, kids, AND DOGS, and everyone had a great time! They had games setup and honestly something for everyone to enjoy. Working with them took a huge weight off our shoulders and their patience with us while we navigated wedding planning and what we wanted is unmatched. Their kindness and warmth made the night feel like we were having an intimate gathering with close pals at a family member’s house but with the benefits of good beer and great air conditioning. (Seriously, people were in and out all night and it still felt nice inside??) Also, because I know it’s important - the bathrooms were always clean. Everything was always clean and comfortable and just perfect.“

“I love Ben’s Butt! No really he’s a pulled pork sandwich. Lol. The drafts are fantastic. Try the piano ? tie draft. The party wave. And all the IPAs are very full of flavor and rich smooth finishes. The burger is amazing. And the staff are very kind and helpful. Don’t forget to take in the view from upstairs on the roof top. Don’t worry they have an elevator too. Enjoy ?“

Bold City Downtown Brewery • $

“In the words of Toby Keith: "I love this bar!" Like every craft tap room I have visited, the atmosphere is pleasant. Not all tap rooms actually have brewing equipment in the service area, which is a nice touch. The bartender Damion, is a great guy and a good conversationalist. If you enjoy craft beer (and you should), I highly recommend this place!“

“The music was a nice touch. We really enjoyed our first time there. The comfortable booths were a major plus we both have bad backs and they were soft and just felt so nice. It was easy to get up as well. Our food was good. Only draw back was my chicken was over cooked but eatable. The music really was nice. It felt enjoyable because he played Bob Seger songs amount other oldies. We played who sang it. We laughed and just enjoyed it. ❣️ I’d definitely drive across town again ❣️“
