Thank you for doing a proper mise en place. He’s professional, passionate about the food, knowledgeable about the menu. I could tell he fired food based on the pase of our table. Nailed it.Second, the details. My plate was hot, but not because it was sitting under a heat lamp, but because it was intentionally hot. I could tell that someone wiped my plate, because they take pride in what they’re serving.These two qualities sets this restaurant apart (unfortunately) from literally every other “fine dining” restaurant I’ve tried so far in JAX.Third, they have foie gras, and it was excellent. They have duck confit. This is the type of restaurant where I’m sure there’s a giant tub of duck feet in the back. It’s legit confit. And it tasted like that. Props to the chef.So, if you’re a foodie. Come here. Eat the “weird” food on the menu, so that the chef has an audience for cool specials.“

“First time dining at The District SPR and it was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I had the best time for date night! Jojo was are bartender and he was friendly, knowledgeable and made some awesome drinks but just fantastic dude all around! If I could give him 20 stars I would! The food was a delight and the vibe was on point! My boyfriend had the sandwich special which was so big he couldn't even finish it! I had the flank steak with mash, and don't miss out on the Brussels and creme Brule for dessert. And now that I'm a local to the neighborhood they made me a vip! “Went here for the first time on Sunday for brunch with a friend. We had made reservations online and were seated right away upon arrival. Our server was incredibly nice and went over the menu and specials in detail, explaining that they work with other local businesses and their food is always made fresh. We had a chocolate chip cherry bread to start and it was DELICIOUS! Both of us enjoyed our main entrees and drinks. “Went to Lake City with friends for the "Florida Gateway Pro Rodeo" and we had dinner at Jessica's Bistro before heading to the rodeo. The food was excellent, portions are large, service was great, the staff is friendly and the prices very reasonable. Everyone in our group was very happy we went there for dinner. Recommend you stop by for a meal if you are anywhere near Lake City.... and be sure to try Jessica's Sriracha Chicken made with her signature sauce!!“

After checking in and dropping off my bags, I went to the hotel's restaurant to grab some dinner. Since I wanted something light, I ordered a salad with grilled salmon. The bartender who took my order was alright. He seemed to be more focused on those who were eating in-house. My order came out fairly quickly. The restaurant wasn't too big; nothing stood out in terms of the decors. It wasn't fancy and was okay looking. My salad had fresh greens; the salmon portion size was bigger than expected.
