“Excellent place! Great food! We had fajita and the guacamole bowl! Special way of serving it, tastes and service are both awesome! If we are not on the last day of spring break I definitely want to come back. Love the music too! Really good vibe and dj! Alcohol free drink taste good too!“
“ALL ABOUT THE FOOD. I recommend this authentic Mexican Restaurant. Excellent, fresh everything. Definitely not your typical fare although they have enough to make you feel at home. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The owners are lovely. A simple place, nothing fancy. Go for the quality of the food and the warmth of the owners. Definitely try the Spicy Margarita.“
“I came here with a group of friends and we had a little hard time finding it first but super glad we did because this place was super cool. The atmosphere was fun and the food I had was so good that my girlfriend stole it from me and ate half of it (I would be silly if I expected any less). Sebastian was our waiter for the evening and he was super cool. Definitely would come back“
“My whole reason for going to the YG farmers market is El Nopalito. Hands down incredible food and such a hospitable and hard working family. The love they put in their food is insane. I dream about this food all the time!!! You cannot go wrong with anything you order. I wish I had pics but I just can’t ever wait to eat it.“
“Went back to try an old favorite from many years ago and was happy we did! Food was great and the Tuna dip was just like I remembered. Grey our server/bartender was awesome and made the best Margaritas too! Love how they opened up the bar area too so you can be outside or inside now enjoying the openess. We will be back!“
“It is a very nice place, the waiters are excellent, very good service. We traveled from Massachusetts and we went three kisses because it was very good service. The waiters; Rodrigo the Chilean and Juan Pablo very good service I recommend it 100 out of 100“
“Steven was the most amazing. His recommendations were perfect. I ordered the mahi grilled tacos and a pineapple coconut cocktail. Both were the best I’ve ever had and next time I’m in Ft. Lauderdale I will be back! Couldn’t be more pleased with the Steven’s hospitality, recommendations and the chefs in the kitchen! Great place , don’t miss out be sure to make this a place you try.“
“Our waiter really didn’t have much to say, we were barely greeted at the door, and the person who seated us never actually said a word. It was strange… but the food, oh my god, the food makes me be able to overlook all of that! It’s off the charts as far as flavor, and freshness. This is some of the best Mexican we have had. I can’t have gluten so I ordered theCeviche, and my husband got short rib birria.“
“I found spot randomly driving around and it seemed like a cool place so I came in by myself. An extremely polite gentleman invited me to the bar and took my order. The service was fast and professional. I ordered 3 street tacos and I got beef, pork and chicken. I was blown away at how delicious this food was. Easily the best tacos I've ever had. I also really enjoyed the Quvo Named craft beer. I was surprised to learn that the gentleman and woman serving me were the owners! I'll definitely be returning.“
“This place is highly recommended. The outdoor seating feels welcoming. Service I put 3 stars because it's all automated. U sit down u serve your own water u get your food when the # is called. Atmosphere it's decorated nicely. Now the food is delicious. I ordered taco Birria ? WoW!!! Also ordered the pork belly tacos. They were so good. Can't wait for my return. Will be soon!!“
“Was looking forward to the Ceviche I had on our first night on vacation. I came back to have the Ceviche again a few days later since I loved it so much and the Ceviche was completely different. All shrimp…. Did not even taste like Ceviche. Was sooo disappointed. I wish they would have told us before we ordered or I would have gotten something else instead. Let your customers know if the menu changes. I walked through high winds and rain to come back to this restaurant before flying back home.“
“Dont be fooled by the little restaurant that simply says "Mexican Food" on the front. Its extremely good! My family and I talked about it all the way home (near weston) and we will definitely be back very soon! Its so fresh, tasty, and generous in portions! we went on a Thursday night after picking my wife up from work. Four of us went and We all received free churros for dessert! Alejandro (Alex) was our waiter and he was so very kind. He made our experience memorable and fun! Try the crispy burrito!! OMG, it was insane! also, ask for their spicy sauce, its so authentic, everything is!“
“We were traveling from Minnesota and stopped in for dinner around 7pm. We are taco snobs and hold high standards and this didn't disappoint! We tried the shrimp, fish, barbacoa, and carnitas tacos with Elote dip and LOVED the tres leches dessert and hibiscus cheesecake. Would highly recommend Barbacoa and Carnitas! Our server Stephanie P was amazing and the music and atmosphere was perfect! We will be back before our flight takes off again!Kid-friendliness: There were families and kids. Very kid friendly“
“Always great food and easy going friendly service. The pupusas and other Salvadorian dishes are always delish, my favorite being the cheese and bean pupusa and the chicken taquitos.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian section has options of main dishes with cheese and veggies instead of the meat protein.“
“Our server (Christain) was excellent! Best burrito and Birria tacos out here. He was very attentive, kind, and made sure we were taken care of. He also has a voice of an angel. The burrito was MASSIVE. The complimentary tortilla chips were fresh and hot! Cute for pics also !!!!!! :) :)“
“Great great food. I mean really good quality, you can tell they take pride in prepping everything and making sure it comes out amazing. The service unfortunately is very very slow. It takes a very long time for the food to come out. Seems like they only have one chef on line almost every time. Waited about 30 minutes for our food and it was only three of us and the place was nearly empty. Other than that, this place is worth it but make sure you have time on your hands.“
“Just recently dined here. Food was Delicious! Can not go wrong with some tacos or some pupusas!! Cooked to perfection. Fresh straight out the oven. Service was amazing. Appreciate Sandy’s hard work! Highly recommend to visit! Would come back again.“
“The staff here is super friendly and the food was surprisingly outstanding. Probably the best tacos in the area imo. Definitely a must try and the bartenders are all super friendly. Highly recommended and a must try. Best part is the live music Tuesday, Friday and the weekend.“
“Picked up some absolutely amazing tacos from here. There were 3 before I inhaled one. As you can see they come fully stacked. As a vegan, it was really nice to have an option and they were super authentic. As a hot sauce lover, please please try their hot sauce. And as a taco lover, chefs kiss A plus all around. The guy who took my order was super friendly and hilarious and I met the owner/cook and she was his mom. Very authentic and family owned!!!!Vegetarian options: Veggie tacos!“
“Been wanting to check this place out and finally got here :) So glad we did! Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for late lunch/early dinner. My boyfriend and I boy got tacos, steak, pork, bbq chicken and mahi. All were delicious! They are also a really good size! Sometimes Florida seems to have two bite “street tacos” that people charge an arm and a leg for but these were big and the price was totally justified not to mention fair! Which is also hard to find on the beach! Bryan was our server, he was very friendly and attentive. Will def be back for more :) the only thing I will do next time is ask for no cabbage, there was a lot of cabbage lol“
“Where to start.. The service was incredible, everyone there greets you with a smile. The owner recommended the Tostones and they were absolutely delicious. Everything else we ordered was so tasty and authentic. Definitely will be coming back every visit!“
“This place is so good best elotes in Fort Lauderdale hands down. The Dorielote is so good and fill and the fruit is so freshThe staff is also very helpful and the owner is very nice gave us fresh hibiscus juice for free to try all around this place is amazing.“
“The food taste so goood!!I ordered the tostadas and tacos Birrias. Very delicious and will definitely come back. They opened just a month ago. The service was good, very pleasant lady took care of us.Parking: Plenty of parking spotsKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome, very calm atmosphere.“
“Authentic Mexican foodAsk for Caldo de Camarón on SundaysAmazing Sopes, Barbacoa and carnitas tacos. If you are into Mexican, Esmeralda it’s a must.Wheelchair accessibility: The place it’s accessible for the wheelchair and the tables are low.“
“We've been going to Prison Pals every so often during the past year & have always enjoyed the food & drinks. My personal favorite are the smoothie beers, which are so yummy & different from anything else I've ever had! We loved the food too, especially the empanadas so I was so disappointed to find out that they no longer make them. Hopefully they bring them back because they were amazing, especially with some cilantro aioli!“
“HIDDEN GEM ! LISTEN ! (The lady told me they have 40% off either tacos or your whole bill on thursdays either way that’s a great deal… I wish I knew about this place sooner. I’m from Chicago and I’m half Mexican and grew up eating this stuff I’ve been to so many places down here in south Florida and this place has to be in my top 2 ! Best best best aqua de tamarindo, aqua de horchata ! BEST elote, tasted like when I was back home in Chicago and we’d go to the elote man. Elote doesn’t taste the same from everyone or every place if you know you know and that goes for the food and drinks as well. My husband got the seafood rice and the flavor was crazy ! Big portion too he can eat and he took some of it home. I got the birria plate and my gosh the whole plate was beyond my expectations, the beans tasted like how my mom used to make them that’s when I knew they were serious lol. We’ll be back like this week ! Lbvs I need to try other stuff on the menu. Because this place clearly isn’t in the business of disappointing OH and the ladies there and so nice and welcoming and food came out before we knew it all around a 1000 out of 1000 !“

And this treatment can't be beat!PS- the bites were so fresh, the flavors were still banging the next day!!Lookout for me Friday's..I'll be on my way end of work day...bet!!Vegetarian options: Delish veggie mex dishesDietary restrictions: I am MSG sensitive with a shellfish allergy, and the wait staff were super helpful and informative about what might not be best options for me and recommended which would be most savory and safe.... “This place is my new favorite. The whole ambiance inside is absolutely stunning. The staff was super friendly especially the bartender & Shawna. The chips & guac and shrimp fajitas are absolutely delicious. The Barbacoa flatbread is incredible. Can’t wait to come back.“
“I tried a small Mexican restaurant close to my house and it gets 2+ thumbs up. La Esquina on sr 84 - meh ambiance, but the the food is fantastic! I had the steak & Shrimp - delish as were the chips & salsa with white queso dip. My wife had a steak quesadilla and it was delicious as well. We had the “agave wine” based margaritas to start - they were excellent. Give them a shot….“
“How delicious to eat in an authentic Mexican place, the delicious Tamarindo not so sweet, the authentic homemade rice and the beans, nothing to say, the super fresh toast and the sauces, nothing to say. Super recommended. Diana's service is mega extraordinary, attentive, she offers first-class service ?Parking: Very central“
“Delicious food for a fair price, especially in this economy. Ordered the beef tacos, 2 was enough for me. Deliciously seasoned, not plain at all! Partner ordered the beef soup & beef burrito. Food presentation appeared appetizing. Solid food, great service & fantastic if you're craving authentic Mexican cuisine.“
“Replaces another Mexican local with better price points, generous portions, good presentation, better margaritas—a little stronger yet remaining balanced, and attended constantly with abundant staff, and provided unlimited complimentary chips and salsa. Objectively, the chips could be crispier/fresher/warmer. Overall, all in our party of seven were very satisfied. 4.25 out of 5 stars.“
“The drinks and fantastic, the food is top notch Mexican fusion. If you’re looking for something trendy, delicious with a city lounge vibe without having to leave the suburbs/residential area of south Broward this is at the top of the list. Downtown vibes but neighborhood proximity- I’ll be here all the time. Plantation Park is a really cool up and coming area. Highly recommend!“
“First time at this place; the restaurant was clean, the food was outstanding, and the waiter (Brandon) was very attentive. Then again, there were only two or three other tables seated. Awkward ambiance for the first five+/- minutes because there was no music playing and the TVs were off. Finally, the music came on and the dining experience improved ten-fold. Meanwhile, the TVs were never turned on. Not a big deal, in fact... might even be cool to have a place with no TVs, where people are forced to interact with one another. But I digress, if you choose to have televisions in your establishment, keep them on; there's a lot you can do with them, not just have it on TV programming. Anyways, this place is absolutely fantastic and has the potential to be one of the area's best restaurants. I'll definitely be back!“
“My friends and I just had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! Our waiter, Marlon, was extremely kind and gave great suggestions to us since we are from out of town. The quesadillas are fire and rlly hit the spot today. Will definitely be back!!“
“Came on a Tuesday night, placed a order and took up to 40 minutes. There a good amount of cars pulling up grabbing online orders, which is a good sign. I had 2 orders of the steak, 2 orders of the fish, and 2 orders of the pastor. The tacos were great, not the best I've had but great for what this area offers. It came with the verde sauce and salsa Rojo along with radish and cucumbers sliced. (One of them tasted off/old) Other things to note the parking lot you can enter only one way going east on Sheridan, there's only one portapotty, and there's alot of stray cats (they come up to you for food). Over all this spot is my kind of vibe for street food and plan on returning!“
“Delectable beyond belief. I am very glad I found this establishment because it hasn't been easy to locate a place that genuinely makes delicious tacos. I sampled the al pastor, lengua, and cabesa tacos. The tastes are amazing. I'm eager for the next opportunity to try something else. Definitely try the food here!“
“I have loved La Bamba for over 30 years. I recently left a review for the one in Delray Beach. This location is where I fell in love with La Bamba. This is my OG stomping grounds..lolI went with a friend and we had Sangria, which I forgot how much I love. Ordered my standard Chicken A La Plancha!I see that there are six location and I'm going to hit them all up.“
“The food was good but I didn't like that the plate was hot, possibly they used a microwave to heat the food, my plate was a combo that among other things included a tostada and a hard taco but they put them on top of a sauce with melted cheese and that It made the toast watery and lost the crunch. The fajitas were tasty but the meat was ground and not strips of meat. The quality service.“
“They re-did the inside and I love it!!!! A warm and welcoming atmosphere and great food. They are great with my husbands pork and shellfish allergy.Dietary restrictions: They are SO good about my husbands allergies and ensuring he does not get ill.“
“This place has great food and vibes! Our waiter Brock was AMAZING, it was our first time there and was a bit overwhelmed with all of the food options so he stepped in and made great recommendations!I'm not the biggest fan of frozen margaritas but the Passion fruit one was reallyyyyy good, even my bf wanted more lol.We loved the food and service so much that we came back a week later. Although Brock wasn't there Brian (the manager) recognized us and made us feel welcomed. Fun spot for the whole family + they have happy hour“
“OMG..Best tacos and Mexican food in the area. Sometimes they have live performances out front and the ambience is always nice. I however prefer my tacos from the inside. You can call in your order and then pick them up.UPDATE: 2023I still get my tacos from the Mexican Supermarket. They offer a delightful eating experience that's both flavorful and tasty. My personal favorites are the Taco Al Pastor and the Taco de Lengua (beef tongue), both of which never disappoint. The Al Pastor is a burst of savory and slightly spicy goodness, while the Lengua taco is a tender and unique treat for the adventurous palate. One thing to note is that you may have to exercise some patience while waiting for your food to be prepared. However, I can assure you that the wait is absolutely worth it. The freshness and authenticity of the ingredients is in every bite, making the extra time a small price to pay for such delicious fare. Moreover, the customer service at the Mexican Supermarket is commendable. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making your dining experience all the more enjoyable. They take pride in serving up these delectable dishes. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine and appreciate bold, authentic flavors, the Mexican Supermarket is a must-visit. Don't miss the Al Pastor and Lengua tacos, and be prepared for a short wait that's well worth the mouthwatering rewards. Your taste buds will thank you for it!“
“My wife and I call it "Zona Fresca Friday" every week. Been going since it opened The food is fresh, big portions and they have a ceviche special. Great salsa bar. The staff is so friendly as well. Our "go to" for Mexican.“
“I have been a customer since the restaurant opened, more than 20 years ago. Griselda's service has always been excellent. It's a good idea to make tortillas by hand. The birria should be served like the barbacoa.Thank you very much, you are still the best of the 3 counties.Atte. Lazaro Galindo“
“The Sunday Brunch is a great choice with friends or family. Yesterday we came for an early dinner for a change and we absolutely loved the food, the pomegranate Margarita and our waiter was amazing. The Seafood Chipotle Extravaganza is the ultimate foodie experience. I dare you to order it….“
“I'm in town for a week for training hosted by the city across the street from this location. The outside did not look appealing, but the inside was different. The dining area offers take-out or seating for 60 people (my guesstimate). Everything was clean, including the bathrooms. They have a small market with key items for purchase. Now my opinion on the food, it was Amazing! It is some of the most authentic Mexican I've had outside of Mexico. The quality and taste of everything I've had on three separate visits so far has been eye-rolling good (Keith Lee reference)! I stopped in for breakfast at 7 a.m. and it was packed with locals grabbing lunch and breakfast for the day. All of the staff have been very friendly and helpful. I will stop in a couple of more times before I leave the area this week.“
“Found this place while randomly in Davie, and being a taco lover had to try. DELICIOUS! Friendly staff, the tacos were cooked fresh to order and were so good I didn’t get a picture before they entered my belly. We will definitely be back next time we are in this neck of the woods. Tried the chicken, pork and steak tacos and each was amazing, the steak being my favorite.“
“I'll start off by saying the food is absolutely DELICIOUS! We had the fajitas (steak & chicken combo) and ordered a grilled chicken with rice, beans, & plantains for our son. The seasoning on the food was on point & everything was cooked perfectly. The restaurant is nicely decorated and most importantly the entire staff is attentive, wonderful & provides the best customer service. Our family will definitely be back :)“
“The manager by the name of Francise is such a friendly, professional and has a wonderful work ethic. The food is always fresh, and the customer service is amazing. Thank you again Francise you are really a great asset and, I hope the company appreciate your effort.“
