“Neat lunch place! Like pulling into home and grabbing a sandwich. Homemade sides and Ellen, the owner, was our server. Personable and prompt. Casual and comfortable. They even have fried baloney sandwiches! I would recommend this place for a no-frills-good-food category, with a trip over to Venetian Gardens afterwards to walk it off. “Absolutely blown away. Amazing. Ox tail is some of the best I have ever tasted. Jerk chicken is authentic and not over spiced, just perfect. Patties are to die for and a wide arrangement of table sauces is a plus. Peas and rice, grean beans, mac n cheese and fried plantains were all Amazing. This place will be a go to destination when back down again from Michigan. Also incredibly clean with a nice bathroom. ?“
“I have driven by this place several times as this restaurant is located in the Continental Country Club off of Route 44 and thought it was time to give it a try. Arrived for our 5:30PM reservation however hostess will not seat you until your complete party has arrived. So be forewarned your party needs to be complete to be seated. Complimentary Bread & Butter is served. Bread is served warm with an herb butter. Nice ambiance and decor. Noise level is average and the menu is nothing fancy NO Steak items on this menu and after placing our orders not sure why it took almost 1.5 hours for the food to be served. Ordered Crab Cake Entree - Crab cakes (2) to an order served with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes. The Crab cakes were filled with plenty of Crab meat with not much filler, the only probably was, food was served warm. Pot Roast Entree - Chunks of meat covered with juices and array of vegetables. Again the Pot Roast was flavor-able but just warm. Dessert: Banana Cream Pie - this serving is HUMONGOUS and could easily feed 4 people, the cream topping had drizzle of caramel and pieces of banana thru the pudding. Pepsi products are served and no sweet tea available, just unsweetened Tea with sugar. Probably will not return with service being slow and just warm food. The menu is not extensive so not sure why food is not served HOT!“
“The food was good, but slow coming out. Service was not on point... it server was spread way too thin and kept apologizing. We sat without drinks, and soup came out 2 seconds before our meal. It was an unorganized mess. As I watched that day, I saw a lack of service on management's part. They made excuses but were not kind about it. They did not visit tables when it's their responsibility to the customer to apologize for the lack of service due to under staffing.“
“We were seated right away, you can eat inside or outside on the covered area. Chips, salsa and cheese dip were delicious. I had the unwrapped California burrito, it was a layered salad, rice beans shredded chicken, there was a lot going on with this. My boyfriend had the enchiladas and the meal was also delicious. Our server was very nice.“
