My husband picked this place out thinking it was a traditional bar as we are not familiar with Kava. We were surprised to find they didn't serve alcohol but the drinks they did have were amazing. We got a Kava and CBD based drink flavored with ginger that was delicious. They also have a pool table, ping pong, and Foosball available while you hang out and sip your drinks. Another of Melbourne's main stay kava bars. This one in Suntree is like many of the other franchise's bars. It features a pool table and ping pong. The crowd is eclectic as is expected at Kava bars. Unlike other Kava bars in the area, being located in Suntree on the cusp of Viera, the crowd here is more white collar and cerebral. Island Root, especially the sun tree location, is a phenomenal place to get together with friends and decompress. Out of all the places I’ve tried kava and kratom, Island Root has the best variety and best tasting drinks. They have several nights where you can listen to live music, play in pool and ping pong tournaments, and participate in trivia.
