“My wife and I brought our 2 year old to the zoo nearby, and found this place on a gluten free app, my wife has celiac and needs to be GF. This place and the staff (Jessica and Savannah) were super knowledgeable and on point, helping us with fresh sauce, recommendations, discussion about the foods, and including kiddo accommodations! They crushed it in customer service, good food, drinks, and atmosphere! We'll absolutely come back if we're ever in the area again.“
“This was a monumental experience. I arrived at this location on the brink of starvation. but then out of the mist of hunger a hero arrived!!!! Who might be this hero you may ask? It was Shelia!!!!!! A true food warrior she brought me a feast fit for a king. And while making sure our cups were full the entire time, she took the time to talk and be friendly. It was an absolute pleasure to eat here 10/10Nuff said“
“We arrived at 11 am for Brunch. Great experience all around. Food Service Ambience! My first bite of The Tiramisu Waffles made we want to bang the table. So good. The Crab Cake Benedict had large chunks of fresh crab. Perfect. My Hubz ordered Steak and potatoes. The med well steak was so tender. The large side of bacon was "clean" and crispy. The iced tea was fresh and sweetened perfectly. Our server was smiling and attentive throughout. Definitely Will recommend!“
“We went in on a whim, we were in the process of buying a car, we found this place. We actually went somewhere else and they were too busy. We had good food and service. It is off the beaten path but definitely worth the walk. Parking isn't abundant but again I would walk a couple blocks to get there.“
“The food is truly delicious and different from most of the restaurants in Brevard County. The dishes are not huge but carefully presented and tasty. The restaurant is a small and tastefully decorated. One of the nicest features is the ability to have a conversation with your group. Noisy restaurants seem to be the norm today everywhere, not only in Florida.“
“Just had breakfast there today and it was a great experience. The owner (Raul) greeted us at the door and welcomed us to the diner. He also followed up with us after our meal. Wendy waited our table, not only did she provide great service, she was an excellent communicator. The breakfast was cooked in a reasonable time for a Sunday morning, was delicious and priced fairly. 5 out of 5 recommend you try La Loma for breakfast some time.“
“I really love this place. One of the best brunch places in the city. I had their waffles with an orange zest and gators..... phenomenal. I just finished my meal and giving this place a high review, it very rare that I do this. The service is fantastic. The servers make this place stand out. The cooks are very detailed oriented. I highly recommend. I am looking forward to return. If you're ever in Downtown Melbourne and you're looking for a place to Brunch come to Backwater. 5 ⭐ Lastly, just be sure to bring Cash or you'll get hit with a 2.85% service fee. Still A+ meal & service. Will return.“
“we were in the area looking for something to do with the family and came across this place on the internet. we went had lunch took an air boat ride. It was a little cool but we were able to see 3 or 4 gators and a baby crock. It was a good time.“
“Been wanting to stop here but since they close at 2 pm I always miss my opportunity. lolToday being out on PTO, decided to treat myself to lunch so I stopped in. Got me a roast beef melt with potato salad as my side. Cool place. Lots of sandwich, subs options. Definitely will come back with the hubby.“
“This place gave me the impression of being a sandwich shop, but I was fooled. This place is more like a fine dining restaurant. I had the Philly cheese steak. Boy that was one great little meal. Tessa was my friendly and attentive server. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, the sweet tea was delicious and the facility and restrooms were very clean. I found this place to be very relaxing and romantic.“
“Literally the best cfs I’ve ever had. Everything we had was amazing. We all got something different due to it being our first time and wanted to make sure we got to try a little bit of something. We all shared our meals and it was all so good. I drove over an hour to come try mulberry lane and it was so worth it and will definitely become a regular thing for my family.“
“It was a little rocky at first. Hostess was obviously overwhelmed (it was St Patricks Day) she told us we should just probably find another place to eat because they are so busy. So, before leaving I needed to use the restroom. We were about to leave when another waitress actually approached us and seated us. Yay US!After that everything was great! Our waitress Morgan was phenomenal! She was busy but she quick, had a great, fun attitude and made sure everything was exactly how we ordered. Because of Morgan we will definitely be back. Oh, I almost forgot.. The food was very very good! Thank you Morgan for a great experience!“
“We had tried to go to Chumley's once before, when they ended up having a private party going... But we finally got the chance today, and we will DEFINITELY be back. Good, ice cold beer... cheap, excellent bar food... and a great bartender/cook combo (Erin and Marcus were both so fun and friendly) - can't wait for our next Fat Tire at the bar!“
“Love this place !! My office orders lunch from here all of the time. Every single time we order, the food is awesome!! The staff is always so friendly and helpful!! There has never been any mistakes on our orders and we usually order a good amount of meals. I would recommend this place to anyone !“
“AMAZING place to go to!!! We were on vacation and came twice! Wonderful service from the same server both times (THANK YOU NICK!!!!) and real food! PERFECTLY cooked steak! No cut corners with quality! The drinks were delicious! There's nothing bad I could possibly say! We'll be back every year we're here!“
“Friendly atmosphere, good people, good music, fabulous line dancing instructors, the sweetest bar tenders, functioning and clean restrooms, security guards who are kind and also on their game, yummy food….. For me it’s become a home away from home really. :) Dancing and good people are good for my soul!“
“Great experience. Our server was top-notch. We had country ham, country fried steak, and chicken burger. Serving sizes were above average. Even our 5ft 9in 14yo grandson was unable to finish his massive chicken burger. Cost was decent with the three meals costing $55. Well worth the headache of heading to the 'Avenues' for lunch!“
“we stopped in b4 we went roller skating. All of our food was amazing. I had breakfast and my eggs were perfect. the French dip was on point. kids meals were plenty for them. service was great. very nice team . I definitely will be back.“
“Food was wonderful: Had blackened shrimp tacos (three) which were filled with lots of large shrimp and hubby had the mac jerk chicken sandwich which were both very tasty. Julia at the bar was wonderful! Service was awesome! Nice view across from the ICW near the Pineda Causeway. We will definitely be coming back!“
“Great food, and amazing staff. Only negative is the noise. There is little in the establishment to dampen noise, so it gets loud easily.Other than the noise, everything was awesome. Plenty of tvs for whatever you're watching, big booths for larger parties, games for the younger ones.I had the "Hangover Burger" with the red beams and rice. Fantastic. Server was on top of everything from drinks to making sure everything was good at the table.Certainly see coming back to try more items from the menue.Kid-friendliness: Place is a favorite for after game celebrations.“
“We just ate there yesterday! The food presentation was beautiful, but most of all, it was delicious! We highly recommend this place! We give it 5 stars! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The food, the outside view and service was fabulous! Our server was Ryan! We will definitely be back! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️“
“Beware of the alligator, (see photos) he tried to bite me, but was no match for my karate. The reef burger was thick and juicy, the fish tacos were sweet and tangy, and the alligator eggrolls were toothy..... just kidding, they were super yummy. This place was great. Cheers!“
“We went there twice in one week first day was awesome. And the second it wasn't as great my steak tips was red I ask for well done And my husband grits was salty but they corrected his food. I didn't have any steak I decided to take home to cook to my satisfaction. We like Metro Diner and will keep going. Thank you The Watkins FamilyParking: Great parking for the customersWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair excellents“
“Went to late breakfast on St Patrick’s day today. The place was packed but the friendly staff was super organized & we didn’t wait long. I ordered the special corned beef hash eggs Benedict & it was AMAZING!!! Our server was Hanna & she was sooo sweet & efficient & dressed in her green. I’d ask for her every time if I could. Everything was homemade & warm & delicious & huge portion & excellent price. They refilled coffee a bunch & it never had a chance to get cold. I can’t wait to go back!!!Wish I did add photos but it was so yummy & smelled so good I totally forgot. Maybe better I don’t tho so not everyone knows about it… lol!!!My new favorite place ❤️“
“My wife and I paid our first visit today. We ordered scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, scrapple, biscuits and sweet potato pancakes. Coffee came first, followed quickly by our orders. Everything was delicious but the sweet potato pancakes and the scrapple were awesome. The food was abundant. We took half home. Coffee was fresh, tasty and offered frequently. The staff were all pleasant, efficient and caring. This place was a treasure hidden from me, but not any more.“
“I didn't eat, but I will go back for dinner and drinks. The small front is deceiving as this really cool place has an open air bar and stage on the backside that extends to the opposite street from the front. Great atmosphere, great live music, and the bartenders and wait staff were on the ball. Fantastic place!!!!“
“My family and I really enjoyed our meal at Longhorn. John was our server and did an excellent job. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the seasoning was delicious. Longhorn has more options then most competing steakhouses for my kids who have food allergies. Gluten free fries are hard to find so we were pleased that Lonhorn had them. The kids also liked the choices of 3 different lemonades! The restaurant and bathrooms are clean, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. We will be back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free fries with no cross contaminationKid-friendliness: Excellent children meals and drink choices“
“Remember the old, fuller menu at Waffle House with like chicken, steaks, and salads? Turns out, they pared down the menu but the waitress said you can still order all of those items that they used to have. Certainly not at the prices they used to be though. . .We had an incredible dining experience at this fairly new waffle House. There were three patrons in front of us that we had to wait behind for a table. We were able to get a table within 10 to 15 minutes, and food was served extremely fast.Waffle House has given me similar experiences throughout the years, but this is the first time I ever realized that coffee was $3 a cup. Seems a bit on the spendy side, but if you get it to go cup I bet you can make it worth it.Hash browns are $3.75 plus $1 for each additional order. I think the best deal you can get is spending $5.75 on hash browns and having plenty left over to take home. The waitress was very friendly and very attentive. We were in and out within an hour and 15 minutes. Overall it was a great experience. All star breakfast was discounted down to $11.75. Wonder how long that'll last??♀️?Parking: The parking lot was a bit full when we went there. But there were spaces opening up.“
“Absolutely excellent food and drinks! Must say... The Sloppy Joe and Ruben hot dogs were awesome! Only regret I have is not having enough room in my stomach to finish both of them... They are huge! But... you can always take what you do 't eat home. Have to come back here again as there are just too many good eats on their menu. Price are very very reasonable.“
“Double Tapp Grill- Melbourne 4.5 Stars In my very younger years I served as what is now known as a "first responder." The term double tapp comes from the order of your training officer to place two bullets center mass to the chest of your adversary. The connotation as it applies to this restaurant is apropos. The Double Tapp Grill is really an ancillary afterthought to the gun shoppe and gun range attached to this Eatery. While the range and gun store are filled with people deluded by the Babbittry of their lives, little do they know the exquisite taste delights that exist just a few feet away. The menu here is unique I ordered fried cheese curds, gator tail and frog legs. The curds were fried and I knew immediately they had been prepared on premises. The batter is light and allows the flavor of the cheese to shine. The frog legs were light fried with no batter. I found this to be original because usually cooks turn them into chicken wings but here they were quick fried, then daintily covered in a mango habanero sauce that had the proper balance and depth of flavor. The gator tail however was the real star. Alligator essentially always bland. Gideon, the chef at Double Tapp, has created a dredge that knocks your socks off. It is full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I could have eaten another order they are so good. The owners of this restaurant really care about their food quality and it is so nice to see. Bravo!!! Big Boy says Try It!!!!“
“Our bartender was awsome. But when we moved to Devin's table all went downhill..he is by most the worst server! He left 4 dirty tables around us a small we had to clean our own just to sit down..the bar has my tip.next time..we didn't even tip “
“The food was great from the grilled rainbow trout to the carrots, the pinto beans and the homemade biscuits were outstandingParking: The problem is the curbside is right up front and the handicap is off to the side. Suggestion would be to move the curbside over and not right at the front door. Hard to find parking and only 3 handicap spaces. Please change the parking“
“Came in for dinner with our family and had the best service we’ve ever received here with Bruce. He was attentive, brought our child’s meal out as soon as it was ready, and made sure our drinks were always filled. The smoked wings and loaded fries were delicious!“
“Martinique was so excellent I was having a very bad week thought I stop and have lunch after getting bad news from my doctor. As I sat there in deep thought she approached me and greeted herself as my sever and would I like something to drink I said ice water with lemons. After looking over the menu I decided on soup and salad. She brought my items to me and made shore I was taking care. She made me feel so much better just act of kindness goes a long way thank you so much Martinique for making the rest of my day better Shannon“
“Always a great experience for breakfast. My husband and my first breakfast date was here back in 2017 and we've been coming ever since. Thank you to the team at Friendly Toast Cafe!Kid-friendliness: Our daughter is obsessed with their hashbrowns! The staff are always so sweet to her. Great family restaurant.“
“Went to Ember and Oak downtown Melbourne for their happy hour today. Hostess, busser, food runner and waiter were all very good. Server came over, introduced himself and asked if it was a special occasion and I told him that it was both of our birthdays. He said happy birthday. I ordered a sour apple martini, which was supposed to be $8.00 during happy hour and he confirmed it was on happy hour. Asked for Tito’s as the vodka and was told it might be two dollars more, and I said OK. Asked if Jack on the Rocks was part of happy hour, and was told probably. Ordered the Swedish meatballs, excellent. Ordered the 10 oz sirloin steak board. Food was excellent and plentiful , prepared as ordered. Asked to substitute French fries for the side of mushrooms, told no problem. Ordered coffee with cream and sugar, put it in the coffee and it was overly sweet. Looked at the packet of what I thought was sugar because that’s what I asked for and saw that it was actually Splenda. Mentioned this to the server when he brought the check over and he did not even offer to replace the cup of coffee that sat there not consumed. Check came and was charged five dollars more for Tito’s and five dollars more for the board. I didn’t order an extra side. I asked to substitute the French fries for the mushrooms and was not told that there would be an additional charge. Did not offer a complimentary dessert for our birthdays; did not go expecting anything, but why ask if it is a special occasion if you are not going to do/offer something? Everything was good……just not an “We have to tell our friends about this place and come back”. Maybe I expected more of a “Wow” experience from this high end restaurant.“
“Everything was good but we got there at 7 and they close at 8:00 and they were rushing us through the dinner the whole time which was very unprofessional and they could have told us that before we ordered. The waitress was trying to clear our table before we even finished eating totally unprofessional and not a very enjoyable experience“
“Really delicious brunch food. Three omelets came out perfectly. Breakfast tacos delish too. All food served very hot. Our group had a spicy Bloody Mary and two mimosas that were very good. We ate outside and there were crows hovering around looking for food scrapes otherwise nice atmosphere. Would eat here again.“
“The food was beautifully plated, everything was delicious, and the house-made sauces were the perfect finishing touch. I highly recommend the steak skewers and especially the sweet potato puffs!! (with the cinnamon flavor added) The tables are all unique hand-crafted pieces, created from wood and resin with seashells embedded.“
“This is my must-go-to spot in Melbourne. Everything from the service to signature cocktail and main dishes were incredible! To start my bubbly bartender, Cassandra, made me a Key Lime Pie martini ? and oh my was it decadent! Creamy, slight tangy and refreshing, this is the epitome of dessert in a Graham cracker rimmed glass.I absolutely loved the Key West Bowl with super tender and juicy mojo pulled pork wit chimichurri sauce and pineapple salsa over jasmine rice ???! It was savory, sweet and a hearty portion. The fried plantains were a little mushy, but still good. The only thing I would have enjoyed better would be to have the plantains cooked a, serverMy fiancé kept saying how the linguini carbonara with blackened chicken was some of the best carbonara he’s had in a long time! The caramelized onions were perfect and the blackened chicken was tender while adding a kick to the dish.It has a fun, relaxed environment with a big bar and plenty of tables, but there is usually a wait - so consider making a reservation. Will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!“
