“Incredible food with impeccable service were the hallmarks of an evening at Crush XI. We were a group of 7, and shared plates of the Medjool dates and a special-of-the-night oxtail empanada appetizers. I followed this with the chicken, artichoke, mushroom fettucine, and the group wrapped up the evening by sharing each of the 4 dessert options available that night.I can honestly say that each item ranks among the best food I’ve had anywhere. If you are anywhere near Melbourne, make sure to make a stop. Come hungry, they don’t skimp on the portion sizes.Parking: Parking, especially street parking, can be challenging in season. Some orders come with more than 1, but it's marked which ones. We did the math and the all you can eat is much less than a la carte if you plan on having a lot of sushi.Bon AppétitParking: There is paid parking behind it in the back if there is no free parking up front.”

“Just had a second meal at Le French to make sure the first excellent meal wasn’t a fluke. After having the best quiche and crème brulee ever, my wife and I had dinner with friends and Le French did not disappoint. Classic French dishes like escargot with bone marrow and beef bourgogne paired with very nice burgundy and Bordeaux made for a fantastic experience. My wife’s grouper was prepared perfectly as well. Bacco Wine Cafe 4100 N Wickham Rd Apt 108, Melbourne Italian • $$
4100 N Wickham Rd Apt 108, Melbourne

“Bacco Wine Cafe- Melbourne- 5 Stars When a restaurant has been in business for 18 years, I know one of two things. It's either the only restaurant in town, or it's the best. I am here to say that Bacco Wine Cafe in Melbourne is the latter of the two. The place is run by a husband and wife team, the husband, Loris, takes care of the front while his wife, Rafaella, runs the kitchen. As the place is reservation only, we were very fortunate and grateful that Loris gave us a table. He said we arrived early enough so it wouldn't be a problem. As my eyes began to devour the choices on the menu handed to us by Loris, I thought this was sure to be an amazing meal. However, our server, Jennifer had me briefly second guessing that assumption as she came across as a zombie. Or your typical 25-year-old. She was adequate enough as she got our order right but, really seemed to just go through the motions. I ordered a three-course meal consisting of Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese, the Veal Chop Alla Marsala and for dessert, I went with the Pere Cotte Al Vino Rosso. Jennifer was soon doing the zombie shuffle towards our table with a tray of culinary science concocted in the laboratory of Chef Rafaella, Ph.D. in foodology. As our gastronomical treasure was set before us, my sense of smell became overwhelmed with scrumptiousness. The odors spirling up from the plated art in wisps of steam would make a dead man salivate (which I found exceedingly ironic given the mortal condition of our server). My comestible journey began with the order of Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese. Sadly, this recipe has been hacked the world over. It has been reduced to "common" food status when in reality it was the dish of nobility as traditionally it consisted of beef and fresh cream, items not easily obtainable by the commoners. Chef Rafaella reminds everybody of the true origins of this dish by elevating it once again to noble standards. She starts by making her own pasta and finishes with the freshest cuts of prime meat around and tops it all off with a homemade Bolognese sauce that recalled to mind one of the nicknames of the city it hails from, "la grassa" or "the fat" in reference to the city's culinary mastery. After literally licking the plate clean (thatsa some sauce!), I directed my appetite towards the Veal Chop Alla Marsala. As my loyal followers know, this is my "barometer" for measuring a good Italian eatery. The Veal was obviously USDA Prime as it was so tender it practically melted on the palate. The mushrooms were fresh cut (YAY!) and Chef Rafaella really took it to the next level by using shaved garlic in her sauce. Served with riced garlic mashed potatoes and bedded atop a bevy of market fresh veggies this was truly a dish from a chef at the top of her game. However, Rafaella's chef-d'oeuvre this evening was her take on the classic Pere Cotte Al Vino Russo. What can I say about this delicious masterpiece of dessert? Was it perfect? Was it divine? Everything falls short. The pear was cooked unerringly to perfection and the red wine reduction sauce was out of this world. A dollop of fresh cream was the exclamation point to a fabulous meal. The Big Boy says, "What are you doing still reading this? Call Bacco and make a reservation. Now. Boun Appetito!!" #bigboydiningout #iamthebigboy”

“This is a consistently good place for a nice lunch. Four of us went on March 20. Kudos to the restaurant for providing a basket of bread to the table. The bread is fresh-baked, plentiful and irresistible. We ordered glasses of wine. The various house wines are good quality and come with a generous pour. Two of us had one of the specials _ fresh Atlantic flounder Francese-style with rice _ and it was absolutely superb. Perfectly prepared fillets, light and flavorful. The others at our table had eggplant parmesan and lasagna _ and enjoyed both. Dinner-sized portions on both. The staff wrapped our leftover bread to take home _ and added several more pieces. What a considerate gesture.”

Cedars Cafe 4100 N Wickham Rd #137, Melbourne Cafe • $$
4100 N Wickham Rd #137, Melbourne

“Cedars Cafe- Lake Washington-5-Stars Quickly becoming a local favorite, this gem of an eatery is beginning to make a huge splash in the local culinary scene. As with most fine dining joints (Cedar's is more casual, but the food is not), Chef Toni changes her menu with the seasonal availability of the freshest ingredients. As we have cruised on past summer and are now in the fall months, I thought it would be a good time to revisit a new favorite and see what Chef Toni did with her traditional, yet eclectically mixed menu. After being seated, I hungrily listened to my server rattle off the seasonal specials and began to drool. This should be extraordinary based on what my ears were telling my palate. After a few moments taking it all in, I asked for an order of Artichoke Shawarma, Fennel Apple salad, White Yam fries, Beat salad with goat cheese, Haloumi cheese, some kafta and an order of chicken thighs in a shiitake mushroom sauce. Relaxing in the pleasant atmosphere it seemed only a moment had passed when my server was soon approaching with my food. Setting it down before me, I drank in the beautiful artistry and scintillating aromas spiraling towards the ceiling as I reached for my tools of gastronomical destruction and got to work. After one bite of the Artichoke Shawarma I knew that once again, Chef Toni has hit a home run. After using the outside of the Artichoke for another dish and wanting to be a zero-waste kitchen, Chef Toni took the artichoke hearts, through some shawarma spice on them, and plopped them on some freshly made hummus. The tastes were extraordinary. The Fennel Apple salad is a misnomer as it should read Fennel and Shaved Apple salad. With thin shavings of apple over fresh greens, fennel, fresh mint and a "secret" ingredient of orange blossom water, this salad was out of this world. Used to cleanse the palate between courses, it more than served its purpose In pursuing the freshest ingredients, Chef Toni often comes upon once in a blue moon opportunities from her local sources. Case in point, white yams. Obtaining just a few of them from a local farmer, Chef Toni worked her magic and turned them into fresh white yam fries served with an herbed, homemade tahini sauce that was a sheer delight on the palate. They were like no fries I have ever tasted before. Moving on to the most pedestrian dish, if one can call a goat cheese feta and fresh beet salad with homemade pomegranate vinaigrette drizzled over it, pedestrian. With farm-fresh beets and real honest to Athens goat cheese feta this was amazing as well. It seems that Chef Toni never misses. She must, she is only human, but I have yet to catch her off her game. After a few bites of the salad, just to make sure I had the taste down, I turned my attention to the grilled Haloumi cheese. While this is a traditional middle eastern dish, Chef Toni took traditional and turned it on its ear. With some almond dukkah seasoning and fresh local honey drizzled over it, this cheese was a far cry from the stuff I grew up on. Talk about scrumptious! While the Houlomi cheese was a far cry from my childhood, Chef Toni's take on kafta brought me right back to it. Grilled in the oven, topped with fresh hummus with tomato and onions and topping a freshly made pita, this went straight to the little boy inside the Big Boy and made him very happy. With a delicate blend of herbs and spices, this dish alone was worth the visit. Sadly, this brings me to the last item up for review, the Chicken thighs in a shiitake mushroom sauce. What can I say about this without sounding like the proverbial broken record? Using locally farmed mushrooms and chicken, this dish taste farm-fresh and danced across my taste buds. The sauce was delicate, subtle and full of flavor while the chicken was tender, juicy and had to have been alive just a few hours earlier, it tasted that fresh. This place is 5 stars all day, every day. The Big Boy says, "Just go already!"”

When this waitress waited on me the long wait and cold food was a constant issue I never said anything about it until today when I had been waiting 30 minutes for my food and she waited on her male friend and proceeded to eat her lunch and I still had no food on my table I went to the front area and asked if I could pay for my iced tea and said that I was leaving. This waitress appeared and said what's the problem? I said the service was ridiculous I said I've waited 30 minutes while you served someone else and proceeded to start eating your lunch. This waitress said then said to me leave and don't come back! I asked to see the manager who appeared in nonchalantly said what's the problem I told him what she had said he said she has issues sometimes and if I come back in again he'll try to get me a different waitress. “Planet Grilled Cheese, Melbourne Square Mall, 1700 West New Haven Avenue, Suite 385, Melbourne, FL- 3-Stars The first time I ever encountered a restaurant dedicated solely to grilled cheese sandwiches I was in Providence, Rhode Island and was totally blown away. So, imagine my excitement when I saw that Planet Grilled Cheese replaced Subway in the food court at Melbourne Square. This franchised gem is not going to win any culinary awards, but they do quickly and competently prepare a grilled cheese. These slightly above average sandwiches might have curbed my enthusiasm, but as classic comfort food goes, these handhelds still comforted. I should point out that the cashier thought I was secretly recording her. I ask you, is there anything quite as refreshing as encountering schizophrenia in a company representative? I’m not sure what I did to make her so cagey. I tried coaxing a smile from her with no luck. But getting back to the food. I ordered the Four Cheese Melt, described as having “All-Natural Cheddar, Mozzarella, Provolone and American.” Next came the Chicken Bacon Ranch, billed as containing “American, All-Natural Cheddar & Mozzarella, Antibiotics-and-Hormones-Free Grilled Chicken, Smoked Bacon, and Creamy Ranch.” Last was the Ultimate Club, indicated to be comprised of “American, All-Natural Cheddar, Antibiotics-and-Hormones-Free Grilled Chicken, Smoked Bacon, Fresh Lettuce, Vine Ripe Tomatoes and Mayo. This might be just your simple, basic, frozen reheat chicken and bacon, but for fast food, this place is a notch above your run-of-the-mill burger joint. Nothing great, nothing bad. All sandwiches on the menu (like those made at this spot by Subway before Planet Grilled) are touted as being served on locally baked bread. The Big Boy says, “If you are hankering for a grilled cheese sammie, Planet Grilled Cheese is a solid choice. No harm, no foul. Just don’t make eye contact with Ally.””

It all worked out though, as our son did not have enough time to process her words before we arrived at the table, and he was surprised to see his friends. Will, our server, was fun, entertaining, and happy to share birthday cheer, as his birthday is just a couple days before our son's!”

“I can always count on Target for gift cards. I went to get a gift card for friends and I was very happy with their selection...I was able to choose from restaurants, stores, cinemas, Google play, regular VISA, MC or AMEX, etc. I find that giving a credit card gift card like VISA is easier since the recipient can spend on anything they want...when they are given a specific gift card like a restaurant or store, they really need to tailor their purchase to that particular establishment. Call me practical, but that is what is easier for me....”

“Our absolute FAVORITE place to go in Brevard!!! It was also one for the first we went to when we moved here. Not only is the food absolutely astounding every time we have been here but the fun, fresh, exotic menu that changes every season or so is one of the best things about 28 north!!!! We have been customers for over two years and truly adore this place. Phenomenal food, great atmosphere and all around amazing experience!”

“We’ve heard about the Mansion since moving to Melbourne and finally had a chance to check it out. I had the Blackened Salmon BLT on Ciabatta which was incredibly good. Another member of our group had the Florentine BLT which If you’ve never seen one is ginormous. We also had the Loaded Mansion Nachos with chicken which is a mountain on a plate. Chicken was cooked perfect and there was an abundance of pico and queso and black beans. Incredible. We’ll be back—highly recommend!”

“Did a quick night away and stayed at the Rialto. Had dinner here and it was good. I ordered the salmon and it was amazing! It had a yellow curry sauce with jasmine rice. My husband ordered the peppercorn steak and it was not the best cut of steak so would not recommend that. The cook was perfect and the potatoes were fabulous along with the broccolini, though. Service was fast and friendly. The lava cake was to die for! Also had an espresso martini!”

“Went there Saturday 9pm. I generally like Charleys, but my last 2 times I tried it at different location and it was not good. I gave this location a shot. I ordered in kiosk. Just standard cheesesteak and fries. Everything came out fast and fresh. The cheesesteak was not moist and wet, it was fresh, the bun was little crunchy and soft. Fries were fresh and hot. Good choice on Saturday evening!”
