As a non-Japanese Japanese food conessuir, the food quality has exceeded my made up expectations. This place actually has Japanese menus that I assume real Japanese people could read, so I knew from the start that the food would be amazing.Now I think there's only one waiter that can actually speak it, so don't practice it with the others because they won't understand.
My first time at Matsuri for take away. Picked up my order at 6:10 pm and the place was already packed, on a Saturday, with diners and those waiting for a table. Nice atmosphere with a warm welcoming yet busy vibe.Ate my food an hour later - nothing warm in my order. The eel nigiri was very tasty but had a lot of rice for very little eel. 3.5 really... i used to love this place but feel like the quality of fish has gone down.-still with issues but I definitely prefer it to other sushi spots!--- now the rice taste is off as well!!!
