“Been to Gator Joes many times over the years and for atmosphere it never disappoints. Visitors to my home like to go back there to read the funny things written on the overhead wood beams & to see the alligator “hand”! The setting on Lake Weir is great! Although the parking is nearly always inadequate, the service is a bit slow, and the food is above average but not excellent, this place remains on my go-to list because of its lakeside location and quirky atmosphere. Also has music inside at times. I like eating outside on the terrific deck.“

It was Valentine's Day so he had a red blazer with a red tie. Aubrey the manager came by our table and we told her we liked Gifroy's jacket n tie and he was excellent. “Excellent food and the menu has a good variety to choose from.They also have a full liquor bar if you like to have a drink with your meal or a mimosa with your breakfast! They run the full gamut of breakfast,lunch,& dinner and i would recommend them all. I would price it at above average cost but you pay for what you get and it is all good so enjoy! The waitresses and jenny who waits and bartends is the absolute best! They actually now have extended there hours by now opening up at 7:00 on saturday and sundays currently! So thats good news for on the weekends! Metro consistently has great service and the employees are all so helpful and treat you like your there best friend! Still great food and you get it fast! Great breakfast place and the workers are Great always make you feel comfortable(Jenny,Jackie,Angie)! Theres ben some changes at the metro lately our bartendress jenny is no longer there. Pizza the crust is a lil doughy. If that’s your type then it’s great. I haven’t had the thin crust but I’ll be trying that next. They put a bunch of toppings on. They don’t skimp. I had a three topping and it come to us steaming out of the box. Bunch of toppings . And a dusting of parm to finish. I’m not a huge crust eater but I finished all mine. Got a smores cookie and it’s too good. Pricing is very fair. My mom got a supreme the veggies on it had a good char from the oven. They have weekly specials. Worth driving out of the way for.“

“Checked out this busy restaurant on a Sunday. Live music (the duo was not good, couldn't keep a beat!) on the patio. Food was delicious!! Service was excruciatingly slow!!! We had finished our first round of drinks before our order was taken, thats a bit too long....we were considering leaving. The other not good part....we were seated on the patio and two ladies kept trying to smoke!!! There were signs posted on the tables and yet these two old hags would pull out cigarettes every time no servers were around!!! I feel they should have been made to leave, since they were "caught" more than once by staff!!!“

The wait to be seated was extreme enough that after 10 minutes of being ignored the couple in front of us walked out, while we stayed the course for almost 10 more minutes. Can't say for sure, but it didn't seem to be a lack of staff at the front of the house. Decent atmosphere.“

“This is in a retirement community so I recommend you call for reservations as there isn’t much seating available and the residents that live there seem to make reservations so it fills up fast. We were lucky and got a table. The staff is absolutely amazing. I got the chicken Alfredo and did not like it. The chicken tasted awful. I am willing to try the food again in the future though.“
“I had a great Friday night experience with my daughters recently. Our server was Mo and he was attentive, genuine, and spaced out our appetizer and meals perfectly. He was even playful with my 3 year old who occasionally got out of her seat to dance. The manager, Steve checked on us and the tables around us to ensure everyone was enjoying their experience. We had a reservation and went straight to a private room! We receive immediate attention! The girl who helped us was great! The food is according to the local! Good starter Scallops along with a wonderful soup! The next dish was well presented and flavored according to the choice! The dessert was also appropriate! I was expecting an explosion of flavors…..but it was still really good! The bartender has a lot of experience and knows how to do his service very well! You can tell they were short staffed but i certainly wont fault them for that, because everyone there was working their booties off. Excellent burgers and drinks! “We have enjoyed eating at the Longhorn. My wife enjoys the steak and shrimp combos and I prefer chicken or an occasional hamburger. Because this restaurant is in the Villages we typically will call ahead, 1/2 hour before arrival and this seats us a bit faster. The servers are always friendly and eager to please the customers. A manager always comes around to make sure the meal is good and cooked how you want it. We like that it is quiet and relaxing. Highly recommended! Enjoy!“

“The outdoor bar has plenty of seating but is close to other tables. I enjoyed that because it allowed me to socialize with others easily! The water view is an added bonus. Jersey Frank was the musician, and he played a wide variety of upbeat familiar songs. It was very enjoyable! On both visits, the food was good, but the service was top-notch!“

“Good place. Would have given 5 stars but getting in to the restaruant is painful. Its in a gated community. You have to insert drivers license in gate and maybe it will recongize it to open gate.
