“This was one of the first restaurants I tried in downtown DeLand on the Friday night "Farmers Market" and it was amazing. I got the Raver neighbor (pictured), and on another occasion the Plain Jane Neighbor. They both were excellent! I loved the flavors of both. It loses a star for service only because of that wait time, otherwise staff was very nice and accommodating. The homemade ranch is the bomb. As far as seating goes there's only 4 tables and chairs so when it's busy it's pretty hard to find a place to sit, but other than that I highly recommend.Parking: You will have to use the public parking in downtown DeLand. It's free. This business does not have a specific lot for it's business.“
“Best T flats on the area by a mile. I order from here more than I'm willing to admit. If you're looking for a deal, definitely visit for Taco Tuesdaze since you can get 2 tacos with chips and a drink for $7. If you're looking for the best thing on the menu, I recommend either a chimichanga (blackened chicken supremacy), or the cheesy steak flautas. Always get hot sauce too. If you want mild and sweet, go with snack my sweet ass. If you want smoky and more medium, go with Rasta sauce. Another good thing about here is if they do happen to make an error, they make it right. I had a missed queso once, and the next time I ordered, they gave me my missed queso plus a drink on the house. I appreciate when stores make it right even if it was a delivery order on their app. Don't be taken aback by the attack of color on the walls and ceiling - all T Flats are like that. It's the vibe. “The value proposition here is better than the other Mexican chains in town. You get more food for your money. Also, almost as an aside, the plastic sauce containers have lids and it seems like I can find a use for them at some point, so they’re worth hanging on to (the sauces used to set Tijuana Flats apart from their competitors, but now others offer similar varieties).Try to eat your food right away. If you get your meal delivered and it has a chance to cool down, it isn’t nearly as good. That’s true of plenty of restaurants though.Something cool about the receipts is that they have a code associated with a survey. You can use your receipt for a free taco next time you get food from Tijuana Flats.“
“We had the BEST dining experience thanks to John! He went above and beyond for our family. It was our daughters 10th birthday and he really made it special. He was on point with the food and drinks, especially with his hospitality and kindness. He even brought 2 tablets to the table for both of our kids. He brought to go drinks in a carrier without us even having to ask, he brought extra sauces for me and the kids and nailed my husband's food with his allergy specifications. He rounded up the troops and they sang happy birthday and it was a great surprise. We wish we had a waiter like John at every restaurant we go too!!! “This was the first time my boyfriend and I had ever had tijuana flats and we were instantly greeted with a smile as an employee held the door open for us. The menu was easy to follow and there were a variety of choices! The server was so nice and answered all the questions I had regarding my food preferences.We didn't have to wait long for our food at all either, it came out so fast! The food exceeded our expectations: the portions were huge and there were more than enough chips for the both of us. We didn't stay long because of a family emergency and although we said we were dining in, a passing server was very polite and understanding when I asked for boxes.I absolutely would visit this location again if I have the chance :)Kid-friendliness: There were HUGE coloring sheets where you order for your little ones to grab and enjoy at the table.“
