“🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Local Steamer Seafood Market in PCB was AMAZING!! Everything was seasoned perfectly and portions were plentiful. We had the “Famous Royal Red Shrimp Platter” (left), “Giant Snow Crab Platter” (right), and “ Dave’s Jumbo Peeled Shrimp Platter” (not pictured but looks just like the 1st pic minus shells). There’s a dining area inside and also tables outside at the entrance. You order on a kiosk screen and grab your drinks then find a table and wait for them to cook it. The cook will let you know when it is ready. It is worth every penny!”

“While attending a board meeting and on a lunch break I tried the grouper sandwich blackened. The crisp lettuce and tomato with a slice of red onion was delicious. But the aioli sauce made the tender thick fillet of awesome fish perfect. Seasoned just right and a bistro salad to start I wasn’t hungry for dinner till much later. It was fantastic! The salad with cranberry and cucumber and cherry tomatoes was amazing. The sliced toasted almonds were a nice touch. Blue cheese dressing on side of course. My server was very attentive and friendly. Very kind lady as were all the staff were during my stay. Enjoy”

“As an avid Waffle House diner, this was by far one of the best teams I’ve seen. Everyone was extremely friendly, and even though it was packed, we received our food and drinks quickly.

Katheryn was so welcoming and kind, and she was doing a great job training Sadie. She’s clearly a great asset to the team. The cherry on top was Mama Liz. She put the biggest smile on my face when she brought out a smiley-face waffle! It genuinely made my day. Small gestures like that truly create the best guest experiences.

Just a bit of feedback for Bo: You were very friendly and engaged in the operation. You seem to be doing an amazing job overall, but I’d recommend avoiding correcting team members on the floor. It can make guests feel a bit uncomfortable, especially when it involves something that enhances the experience (like the smiley-face waffle). Overall, you’re doing a great job, just somethingto keep in mind!”

From the moment we walked in, the entire team gave us such a warm and friendly welcome—it really made us feel at home.
The service was excellent throughout, with everyone smiling, checking on us, and making sure we had everything we needed.

We ordered Texas Sausage sandwiches, waffles, and coffee—and everything was delicious! The food came out hot and just the way we wanted.The waffles were golden and fluffy, and the sandwiches were hearty and full of flavor.

It’s not every day you get such great service and food together—thank you to the amazing staff for making our family breakfast so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!”

“We booked a stay for Oct 11th thru the 14th. we did have a balcony, if you would call it that. Walk into our cell, I mean room, it instantly had an odor. We didnt even have a ceiling, It was trusses and a support beam. The floors were dirty, the chair thar should have been teal in color, was brown in areas. The walls were covered in dirty handprints. I'm sorry but it doesn't take but a few minutes to wipe the walls down. Instantly not happy. We were on the second floor, right beside the stairs to the pool and beach. We decided to walk to the beach, come back and make the best of it. We get back to the room, and it smells of sewage. The bathroom lights and fan quit working, which the bathroom was 4 steps from the bed. There wasnt any overhead lights. You had to use two rusted out lamps. The balcony door was hard open, had to shoulder it. The pictures used are bait. I can tell you, our room DID NOT look like the photos listed. We ended up staying for 2 hours which gave me enough time to book another room. We did have to eat the cost of the first night. But this was a true learning experience. I will never stay or recommend this place to anyone. Outdated is one thing, I can live with that. Cleanliness is where I draw the line. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I wish I could remember the room number, but I was so disgusted by it, the lack of cleanliness and disappointment is all I can remember.”

“Ok, hunt & Gather is the best restaurant in bay county. Reminds me of restaurants in San Diego. Top notch quality food. Friendly staff. Cool atmosphere. Off the beaten path on the beach. Dishes you can't get anywhere else. Rare game type of plates such as elk and bison. Kimchi baked oysters was amazing for an appetizer. We tried the lamb lollipops, octopus, as well.”

“I’ve never had a bad meal at First Watch. Today was the bacon parm hash. It was the bomb. Based on the menu picture there was more food in the bowl when the waitress brought it out. Also, staff is friendlier than most restaurants, just saying. Love this place will definitely be back”

I was anticipating a long wait but there was nobody in line, possibly due to a storm rolling in, but the guy working that day kept apologizing profusely for the wait (which there wasn’t one, but he also said he was trying to hurry to avoid us getting rained on) he made great drinks, great food recommendations, and it was a great experience! The dirty sodas and the energy teas were fantastic! Highly recommend”

Our sides were onion rings & sweet potato fries, however we had a hard time making a selection because of the many great food options to choose from. All the food was delicious & Sarah was a top notch server who was friendly, prompt & efficient. Definitely recommend & will visit Shades again when back in the area.”

We return here every year during our week long vacation because they never fail us. Plenty of TV's for sports action , and a pool for a cool dip. HIGHLY RECOMMEND by my husband and I. NOTE: We tried the Barefoot Hideaway down the road, but left after being seated (inside, which was somewhat stale and smelly), and waiting for about 8 minutes without being acknowledged by a server. It was NOT busy at the time. DISAPPOINTED. Will not go to that location again. Go see Becca and Lauren. THEY ROCK!!!”
