“Native Cafe is a wonderful place to stop in Pensacola Beach for amazing food, drinks, and service!We took a drive from Sandestin to Santa Rosa Island yesterday and when we were encountering more homes and signs of a community I googled “cafes near me.” Through our search, we ended up at two cafés and ended up walking into Native Cafe and looking at the menu. It was bustling in there and a full house which led us to think we discovered a potential true local gem.We ended up staying and so glad we did! The Mahi Mahi tacos were VERY good and my cold brew coffee with lavender vanilla syrup added with a touch of milk was off the charts delicious!The Native Cafe is a true eclectic cafe with fresh and fabulous food, a great vibe, exceptional service, and a vibrant atmosphere.“

“We went here during Super Bowl & Mardi gra parade season. They were super busy but as busy as they were (we waited 1 1/2 hour to eat) it was so worth the wait! The service was good and the food was delicious. My husband and I shared a dozen fried oysters for our appetizer that were a pretty decent size then both of us got a burger with fries. I love that they will cook the burger to whatever temp you prefer (because I like mine on the rare side). The price wasn't bad at all!“

“We had the most wonderful experience tonight while dining in. We started with a little bit of a wait, about an hour, but with the views and areas to walk around, it was no problem for 5 adults and 5 kids. The food was beyond amazing! The service was spot on and Sam was absolutely killer with dealing with all of the kids, four of which are 5 and under! It was clear she really cared. Holy smokes was the food good!!! Between the fish tacos, the grits, and the blackened tuna I had for an appetizer, I haven’t ate so good in my life!! I can’t wait to come back!! These guys are really GREAT!“

“The Dog House is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat. The food is unique and full of great flavor. We love the hot dogs. The bbq dog is my favorite with pulled pork, slaw, sauce, and pickle. The chilli cheese fries are great. Salt and pepper fries are great too. They have the best onion rings. The service is great and this place does not disappoint.“

“Went to eat there Friday night and we were pleased. I had the lamb chops which were some of the best I’ve ever had. They were very tender and the spice was perfect. Highly recommend. I’ve had lamb chops at every nice restaurant in town and these are by far the best. They were cooked to a little more than medium temperature but it did not matter with the tenderness and flavor. We also had the butter chicken and tikka masala. The naan orders were large and very tasty. I also tried an Indian beer which was surprisingly good.“

“I took a trip home this past December, and I wanted to make it a point to try some new places. I always go to the same ol' places that I know are amazing, but so many new restaurants have been popping up, generating buzz, earning accolades. I needed to branch out. So I brought my sister out to lunch one day, and I decided to try out the place that had been winning best lunch awards for many years now.It's right in the heart of Palafox in Downtown Pensacola. An easy walk from any street parking you can find nearby. It's a quaint, unsuspecting, wraparound bar with seats dotted all around it. It's a nice looking place. We got seated, were given menus, and ordered some drinks.I forget exactly what I had, but It was a special sweet tea. Maybe mango or pineapple or something. I remember it was very good; I had a second one. So we're sipping, exploring the menu, and decide to just split a bunch of stuff. We get a few tapas and a sandwich.We start off with something easy, Carmen's Soda Bread (Baked daily! Fresh rosemary, dried cranberries, sweet butter). This was so nice. The bread was perfectly soft, but easy to spread on. The sweet butter with the tart cranberries was a good combo, and the aroma of the rosemary helped make this a good start.We moved onto the Spanish Crab Pepper Poppers (sweet peppers, jumbo lump crab, chorizo sausage, Manchego cheese, lemon, saffron). This was so fun! The heaviness of the filling, not complaining, needed that fresh vessel of that sweet pepper. I love crab, I love chorizo, I love cheese. They go very well together. Go figure. Get this.Then, the Savory Goat Cheese Cake with Carmen's Seasonal Fruit Pepper Jelly (served over arugula with toasted ciabatta). This was a visual spectacle of a dish. Piled with that cranberry pepper jelly. There was some sweetness in there, which was nice with the tang of that goat cheese cake. You get a whole stack of bread, so spread away. I loved this.The last thing was the Spanish Crab Melt (local jumbo crab, chorizo sausage, Manchego cheese, lemon, saffron, served open-faced over arugula). Very good. The ciabatta was nice and soft. The same mix of crabby chorizo was dolloped on top, so I ate this up in a hurry.Overall, this lunch was lovely from start to finish. I have a new favorite go-to lunch spot in Pensacola now. Will be back!“

“We dropped in on a whim, based on a google search for restaurants nearby. As we drove up, we were considering vetoing the stop, as the neighborhood is a bit questionable, but the Star Trek emblem sealed the deal and we knew we had to stay. What a cool hole in the wall! The lighting is entirely red, which takes a bit of adjustment, but the pizza was tasty and the service was great. Tabitha took great care of us, as well and Mary and Mary Catherine. Thanks ladies! Quirky and cool. So nerdy! Loved it!“

The restaurant was quiet and not crowded at first but as the night progressed more two women were seated next to us and were very loud. I wear hearing devices so the noise eventually overwhelmed my hearing devices to filter and at that point I had difficulty hearing my wife and friends at our table. Overall it was a very good dining experience.“

“Went there tonight with my wife and kids who are 10 and 4. Our waiter was super nice, explained to us the history a little bit behind the building being an abandoned hospital. Pizza was great and on par with other sit down pizza restaurants but with a more reasonable price. We had left overs with just one large pizza and an appetizer. Afterwards we were able to explore the historical building and also stop by some of the other great places that are in the old hospital. All in all this will be one of my families new weekend spots for sure!“

He was very diligent even though he was very busy with a couple of large tops that came in. “I’ve only visited Sushi Mass twice and the time gap between both visits is by years, but don’t let that say anything bad. Both times I’ve been I have loved the food and enjoyed myself. The atmosphere is amazing and calm, a perfect sit down lunch/dinner. I’d honestly let the time gap show that the quality has always been there and I think I’ve found my new favorite place. I sadly lost my mom in 2022 and she didn’t care for Japanese food but my dad does, we’ve been looking for places to eat other than our norm and they fit the bill. Literally! We had the all you can eat lunch menu and literally paid the same we would at a steakhouse or even Applebees! Can’t beat that plus the atmosphere and customer service outranks all in my opinion.“

“Consistently good food. If you like food comas the Tour of Italy is guaranteed to put you there. Best salad anywhere. The bread sticks are hit and miss, I'm not a fan of those but everything else is always good. I think they should switch to more traditional loaf bread with olive oil dipping sauce. The current $6 take home a plate is a good deal. The servers are always top notch, smart, hard working people.“

This beats anything I've had in Florida.. almost as good as Dallas.. I highly recommend this. Staff was busy with lunch and attentive.. service was swift, prompt and efficient.
