“April 2024 - Paid another visit. Two of us the crab cake sandwiches (very filling), and my friend's wife raved about the fried green tomatoes. One shortcoming: Limited selection of full-bodied mainstream American beer such as Budweiser, PBR, Rolling Rock, Miller, or Busch. All but two were "light or "craft" varieties. A special nod to our server Logan who was especially well-informed about menu and drink selections.April, 2023 - I've lived nearby for over 20 years. “OMG !! What a wonderful find. We saw crawfish whipped a "U" and boom we were there, it was a Friday late afternoon quite a few guess.Nice menu selections. But it was crawfish for me, got the boat crawfish, sausage,corn, potatoes and mushrooms with choice of sauce my husband got the shrimp boat same combo. They were both absolutely delicious. Can't wait for next visit“
“OMG this is some delicious and savory down south cooking!! Red beans with the chicken is so tasty. Macaroni is perfect. I’ve never liked collards but I’m a fan now…I just needed to try Mama Bear’s, apparently. Yams are delicious. I’ll be back tomorrow for her made from scratch gumbo. This woman can cook! “Great food, atmosphere, and prices. We went during happy hour where the margaritas were doubles for the price of a single. They were very good. I had the Bahn Mi tacos and could have easily eaten 2 more orders, they were so good. Definitely will be making this one of our go-to places. They also had vegan options which made it an easy choice for my step-mother.“
“The new owners didn't change the interior much from when it was Franco's, maybe new paint. It was very clean, the staff was great and the food was good. My wife had the BBQ shrimp, and I had the fried oyster platter. Definitely will be on our return to list.“
“I gave this place five stars because the food, service, and atmosphere were top tier. My friend also felt the same. We got a king crab boil and it was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. The king crab shell was soft, so it was a little hard to crack open, but other than that it was amazing. The best crab place we've been to in Pensacola. We got the medium garlic butter and Cajun seasonings as recommended by our waitress and it was perfect. The crab meat fries could've had more flavor, but even as leftovers they were still very satisfying. Honestly, I kind of wish I just dipped them in the crab seasonings. Will definitely be coming back in the future.“
“New Orleans inspired barbecue. The food is great. It can be a bit pricey, but tastes great. You can jazz the food up to have it spicy. The atmosphere is jazzy & New Orleans like. They have daily specials. I like to go on Wednesday when the special is ribs & baked chicken.“
“An afternoon escape found us at Nicks. We were NOT disappointed. From the moment we were greeted until we left - we were made to feel welcomed. The food was all very good as well. My wife had blackened Cajun chicken pasta, my son had the baked shrimp Mac n cheese and I had a shrimp Po boy. Each and every bite was devoured. Can't wait to go back!“

“This place is not only delicious with a fabulous view but they went above and beyond to accommodate my finicky daughter by making her her own special grilled cheese sandwich and putting together a lovely little fruit cup with some fruit they had left over from brunch. Basically they didn’t say no to any of our extra requests and it made for a wonderful family visit!! Highly recommend this place.“
